"Uh... Wow. Danny, uh... yeah, how do I put this...."
"You look like a girl!"
"Thank you, Jenny. Well that too, but also that it looks too elaborate. This isn't a video game, you know. If that armor breaks, it's going to be hell putting it back together.
Speaking of which, what sources did you use?"
"Terraria."
"Really? Whatever. I'll be doing Starcraft, with a special weapon in mind. Mikey, you?
"Uh... I don't know. Uh, Binding of Isaac. Laser eyes... are the shit."
"Riiiight. Stephen, you?"
"I shall, to the best of my ability, recreate the garb of an Inquisitor of the Ordo Xenos. Kill it with fire, indeed.
Jenny?"
"Crysis 2. Putting my tech stuff in the suit might give me a good body to run around in."
"Cassie and I will look into that, then. Emily?"

Anyway... so while we're discussing....

Wait a minute... wait, the codes are spazzing out. Dammit.
HEY! I found an error!
Bitch please. I don't make mistakes.
Yeah, well, you did this time. I can't tell whether the 17th's last name is Finnian or Jackson.
Neither can the system, and the triggers are bugging out.
Oh... oopsie. Don't worry, I'll fix it somehow. Though you'll have to code a lot more.
Better than talking to you all day.
Alright, I'm sorry, that was mean. Come here, you don't have to cry.
"Helps me think. Can't just sit around unless I got something to do.
Anyway, what'd you want to talk to me about?"
"I've noticed something. Since I'm the hope player, it feels like I'm like, attuned to how others feel and stuff.
So I can feel whenever someone's happy, sad, hopeful, hopeless, et cetera.
Thing is, from you, I'm not getting much."
"You're not serious. I am actually doomed to feel happy for perpetuity."
"Listen. I know you're the group therapist and whatever, but have you ever asked yourself who counsels them? It's like asking whether the mail guy delivers his own mail or what.
Plus, I've noticed something else. In the two years I've known you, we've never talked about how you feel. It's always been about what I feel, or what someone else might be feeling, or what I should do based on the first two.
But yourself? Nah. I can't think of a single thing. You're really pent-up, and frankly, it's time to take a crowbar and just pry it open."
"Miss Jackson, wait no. Miss Finnian, I appreciate the help, but you don't have to burden yourself for my sake.
Also, I'm calling you by your Saxonite name because if we're going to have a new universe, I figure we should take our cultures with us. That's what I've been pondering for the last few days. We have a second chance, and we're going to start this society right."
"Erm... Well, then I'll be the only one."
"So will I. I'm the only Talematran, but you can bet I'm bringing it into the new world."
"Is that right, Mr. Merrick?"
"Yes. I mean, we have our own little slice of the five nations here. Jenny and Cassandra certainly remember something about Avernian culture like us, Michael will probably know something about Lisphere, and Danny can just pull up some file on Elysium. Believe me, we can make this work."
"Wait. No. You're distracting me. I'm trying to see what makes you tick, and you're trying to redirect this thing. Well, it isn't gonna work.
I'm just gonna stand right here until you open up.
Well? I'm waiting, Mister."
"You'll thank me in the morning."
"HEY WAIT! PUT ME DOWN!"
"Again, you'll thank me in the morning. Get some sleep, Emeline."
"You're supposed to buy me dinner before your arm goes there, dammit!"
"One, I'm sorry, who cooked dinner then? Who else would I allow to work with fire?
Second, that was a question, not a complaint against what I'm doing."
"Oh. Well... PUT ME DOOOOWN!"
"Woman, why do you never wear pants? It makes this intervention all the more uncomfortable."
"Who needs pants?! Besides, that wasn't a complaint."
"It's getting late, and I would prefer to not mar being comfortable in the morning by spending the night engaging in such antics with you."
"Well, you better bring my glasses! They got dropped when you so rudely swept me off my feet."
"They'll be on the nightstand when you wake up."
"Uh... Stefan? Emily? What're you two...."
"Of course."
"HE WAS GOING TO TOUCH ME!"
"I can see that. He's doing it right now.
Bro, you making a move? This part of your technique?"
"No he's not! He's chicken! He's just groping me! Who knows what horrors he could've done if you hadn't come!"
Daniel Atreus opened (20th Strategy Log) on board Relevant Tactical Discussion.
DA: Alright, let's get this started.
ME: Wait, that's your real last name.
DA: Shouldn't yours be too?
ME: Evans, Etrigan, they both start with e... so it'd still be the same.
JB: Alright, so how's it hanging? What's on the to-do list today?"
DA: Okay, so listen up. What's going to happen is that we've found out where Aiolos will be later today. Or tomorrow, on Skaia. Don't ask me, it's kinda complicated.
DA: Anyway, he'll actually be meeting up with some others for some sort of meeting. Supposedly they've created new aspects, and it's supposed to help the power balance or something.
DA: Stefan could explain, but he's busy taking one of his infinite showers. Or hooking up with Emily. Who knows. Anyway.
JB: Wait wait wait. Hold up a minute. He's doing what?!
ME: Holy crap. And I thought he was... asexual all this time. Good to see my friend getting it on... like a boss!
CA: Are we really going to get sidetracked by this?
JB: Sister, we want details. How do you know this?
DA: He was carrying her off to some private place. I saw them with my own eyes. It was late, everyone else was sleeping, she didn't have pants on.
DA: Use your imaginations.
CA: Wait, if everyone else was sleeping, why were you up?
DA: Munchies.
ME: I know what I did was... undeniably wrong, but if they end up together... can I claim that by throwing her around I... brought them together through adversity?
JB: Dude! We can totally claim that! You're absolved, man. Forgiven of everything, you shipper you.
CA: Why did you have to tell them that.... Or at least tell them after this whole operation?
DA: Because, girl, I am a manly man. And manly men with a legit interest in free-form jazz follow the MAN CODE, not the wimpy bro code.
CA: Guys. Guys. Come on, would you pay attention to the screen?
CA: Guys.
JB: Oh shut it. That picture's unbelievably shitty as hell. We can't tell a damn thing.
CA: I'm sorry, I don't remember asking you a single fucking thing about my diagrams.
JB: Oh, someone's getting their sass on.
CA: You wanna do this, bitch? I will mess you up!
CA: Honey badger don't give a damn if you can't feel below the knee, I sure as fuck will not.
DA: Uh, Cassie?
JB: Go ahead. You'll be lying on your back before you can blink, and it ain't gonna be in the bedroom this time!
ME: Catfight! Catfight!
DA: Stefan, I could really use your help right about now....
SM: Gear up! There is a tactical event that has taken place that we must...
SM: ...
SM: ...
SM: Shift yourselves to your gear. This is not a request. It was not even a command. Commands imply possibly defiance in the matter. Prophecy is equally untrue, as the fulfillment and validity of such things are left in flux. No, this is none of the above. It is a state of being that you will be in by the time I finish this sentence, or so help me, I will shove all of you in one escape pod in the most awkward and shipteasy fashion I can conjure in my mind.
CA: We'll settle this later, girl.
JB: Whatevs, bitch. Alright, lover boy, start explaining.
SM: There has been a series of bombings in the inner capital urban area. Skaian protocol indicates that whenever an attack on their soil takes place, fast responders must go in and eliminate the threat.
CA: Uh, problem. How do we know that Aiolos even came at all?
SM: He wouldn't. He shouldn't. It's not his jurisdiction. However, he has to come personally for another reason.
SM: While I've been looking into where Cirona Keates may be located, I wasn't the only one that was looking for her.
SM: Velias Narfos and Lena Travencal have been looking for her as well. They, and Bernard Bartlett to boot, have been looking for her, and their current lead is somewhere within the city as well.
SM: It all goes back to simple troll psychology.
SM: What matters to an eight-sweep old troll?
DA: Sleeping with your coworkers. Must make for some awkward conference calls.
SM: Exactly.
EF: Hey, I should mention something. There is currently a riot going on. Not only that, but Imperial Drone have also been mobilized, and this place is under the protection of some guild called Delta Green.
EF: So we definitely won't be alone. We just go in, kill the son of a bitch, and get out. No matter how messy it is, we pull out as soon as we're done.
ME: Dammit... So Stefan has problems... lasting?
EF: If you weren't heading to the escape ship with Cassie, I would crack that stony, empty thing you call a skull.
"Dad, there's stuff falling from the sky!"
"Oh. Son, tell your mother and sister to go downstairs with you. Play some video games for a bit, okay?"
"Fuck yeah. Posing as a team, got months of skilled, brutal, Charles Atlas training with us. We gonna rock this place."
"Keep your eyes out. The riot seems to have died down mostly, but it seems the last few deadly ones are still at it."
"Yeah, well we can probably beat anything we find..."
"I could've sworn he ran this way... Who are you?"
"Uh... Wait. Do I bow or something..."
"Wait no, you don't have to bow. I assume you know who we are?"
"Yeah, it's... it's nice to meet you?
Anyway, uh, I was originally going to ask you, but since you're... well, you, I was wondering if we could help you get out of the city."
"I haven't seen any of you around before. Are you new?"
"Yeah. We just started at this a few days ago. Or something like that. Honestly, you gotta believe us, we're completely clueless."
"Oh. Well, Lena? What's wrong?"
"Who sponsored you?"
"What?"
"Who sponsored you? Your gear, your specibi, what guild is sponsoring you?"
"Uh... Delta Green. We just started."
"Come on, Lena, they're with your cousin. They're fine."
"No, they're not. I know every single person and every single applicant in Delta Green. Besides, there's no reason why any new people wouldn't be at the Arkham training center instead of being out. Not with all that gear you have.
Which, come to look at it, doesn't resemble any sort of gear I'm aware of."
"Yeah, now that I look at it, I haven't seen such armor anywhere. The shark especially. Why would you make a shark? That's a stupid idea."
"Dude. We're getting outed. We gotta seize them."
"Well, we were kinda outed because GET THEM GET THEM!!!!!!!!"
"Eh, Virken. You know it. The usual. Keeping the sleeping, omnicidal sea creatures with doses of sleeping pills. By doses, I obviously mean giant fucking crates of it."
"Did you fix the leaking problem yet? I think one of my boys complained his kid almost drowned cause he fell asleep on the beach.
Also, I felt a little hazy the last time I went to visit Svelko."
"Yeah well.... we're working on that. The pirates haven't complained much, though."
"I can't understand where all the lusii keep coming from. Sometimes I think we should just put the pirates on the payroll if Iernos wasn't so opposed to it."
"What was that, Mister Virken?"
"Nothing, Telmistho. I misspoke.
Anyway, so yeah. Other than that, we've been looking into where Cirona Keates went.
"Your little Dersite dragon? Well, good luck to you.
Wait, no, as a friend, I'm sorry, but I gotta ask. Why didn't you keep a closer eye on your top soldier?
You see me with Henderson, Randy, and Charlie. I make sure I always know where they are. Especially Randy. Can't let him wander off to some foreign dreamland whatsit."
"That's... that's a hard question. To be honest?
I think I want her to stop looking up to me. It's a weakness. She needs to be able to operate independently.
Wait no. That's not it. I want it to be that.
I think it's that I'm kinda scared of her, believe it or not. The girl's done some scary stuff, seen things I can't even fathom out there, done things I don't want to think about back here."
"You gotta rein her in, man. You're not doing anyone any favors by letting her run wild."
"I've tried. But she does look up to me a lot. I just can't bring myself to disappoint her."
"Oooh boy. I think you're kinda lucky you didn't find Velias before I found you.
Women. Can't live with them, can't live without them."
"I agree one hundred eighty-eight percent."
"Mulder! This is Ward."
"Charlie. What's up?"
"We found someone. Armor doesn't fit any description we've seen before. Applications of the Red Sign of Shudde M'ell are ineffective. Wracks are just as useless.
The Azure Flame's proving minimal at best. Randy's identifying defenses as some sort of soul-based field!"
"Crap. I'll be there in a moment.
Aiolos! It was nice talking to you, man. I'll see ya later.
NIGHTGAUNT OF NODENS, DELIVER ME TO MY DESTINATION."
You... you can't do this. I had to try! Emily, you understand! I HAD TO TRY. I couldn't just let him keep doing all this!
Please, you can't make me do this. You can't make me kill my best friend. Please!
Steffie! This isn't some random troll. This is EMILY. She's our friend, remember?
I thought I was your best friend.
But no. We all know how this ends. You're going to slit her throat. She knows it. I know it. You already know it. You only need to accept it.
NO. I can't. I just can't. I love her. She's my best friend.
Stephen, please. You need to look inside yourself. You need to realize that we can't kill off our own people!
You said you loved me.
And I do! But
Then prove it. Are you willing to die for her sake rather than be with me?
You think I've gone crazy. Wrong. You think I'm just a psychotic bastard now. Wrong.
And you think I'm asking you to do something outside your bounds, but again, WRONG.
You've followed me into this like a loyal pet. You've butchered just as many as I have, and you've rested easy knowing I was there for you to deflect onto.
But not this time. This time, I want you to take your own responsibility for it. I want you to see the light.
No, Emily! He's wrong. You can't do this. You can't just murder your own friends! What kind of sick person does that anyway?
He never liked you, and you know it! He always teased you for years, without actually following up on it. He's played with your emotions, threw them away, watched while you picked them from the garbage and pieced them back together so he could take a baseball bat to it.
How can you even stand near a guy like that?!
No, you're wrong! He's a sweet guy! He's caring, affectionate, always excited....
And yet he's murdered how many people?! No, you can't do this! This isn't you! This isn't him either, but it's too late for him!
It's not too late for you! You don't have to do this. You can't let him control you like a puppet!
Alright, the 7th Legion's trying to get the Empress out of here, and I don't want to miss my chance to complete my color wheel.
Do it. You're going to do it because you know you can't leave. It's too late.
Alright, so I took a chainsaw to your psyche. So I've scarred you in ways that can never heal. So I've made you a complete abomination. So I've made you emotionally masochistic. But I've already done my job.
Somewhere, within that derelict, unholy wreck you call a heart, you love me completely. You'd crush mountains, take down empires, kill anyone if I asked you to.
Which is why you're going to kill her. Jennifer and I both noticed. Your knife hand is tensing. It's about to kill.
And you don't know it, but you're about to enjoy it. To feel how easily the blade slides through her skin, to feel her pulse quicken for the last time, to see those eyes shrink in fear, to hear how their vocal cords vibrate in a last-ditch attempt to speak.
You're about to see the reason why I do what I do, and it's just so heartwarming that we can finally empathize.
It's bringing tears to my eyes. Delicious. I think it's melon juice this time.
But enough of me sampling my own tears. Do it, my dear.
Emily... Please. You can't...
What. No. What the fuck.
What just happened...
"WHAT JUST HAPPENED?!"
"Ow. Sir, you do realize not only were you useless in apprehending these two, you blanked out in a sort of trance, only to emerge screaming?"
"Yeah, Danny. Come on. Get with the program."
"Right. Sorry about that. Ok, I have a plan.
Emily, do you copy?"
"Not right now! I'm kinda in the middle of a fight!"
When we got here, I thought we'd steamroll them. But now that we're here, my heir senses are tingling. Actually, no. They're having spasms. They're epileptics who were brought to a disco party.
Emily, I don't care what it takes. You need to get back to us. Now. Stefan, Jenny, stand in front of the hostages but behind me."
"What are your senses telling you then? How has your aspect chosen to protect you?"
"The moment we caught these two out of the blue, something changed. My visions involved Stefan and Cassie dead. But now they have Jenny dead because Stefan made Emily kill him.
And
"Wait. You're trolling us, right? Emily? Killing me? Come on bro, you could do better than that."
"I wish I were serious. But no. Stefan made Emily kill you, and from the looks of his clothes, I'd say he's killed tons.
And so did Emily."
"Uh, I seriously doubt I'm capable of killing anyone. I always pretend like I can, but I seriously doubt my ability to follow through with it."
"I know Steffie likes to ham it up, but killing in cold blood?
You're absolutely, positively sure about this?"
"From the looks, wait no, from what I don't hear, you've already fallen back, haven't you?
Wait. DAMMIT. Did you lose them?!"
"Don't be silly. I've... hold up. I think...
I think I found Bartlett. And Keates too, no less."
"Can you get them?"
"Emily?"
"Crap! Going under the radar for a bit! Not only's Bernard seeming to have his own fight with Cirona, but those Delta Green bastards are still on my ass!
I'll be back once I'm done!"
"Emily! Wait! EMILY!
FUCKING HELL. If she can't get here soon, there's only like, a one-in-a-million chance all of us live past
"Am I interrupting something?"
"That's not Aiolos...."
"Under the authority of the Empress, Lady Svelko of the Incipicinerators hereby orders you to stand down, relinquish your weapons and hostages, and come in for questioning!"
"Danny boy. What's your heir thing saying about this?"
"I don't know. I'm not getting anything. Does this mean we can beat them?"
"I thought nobles were supposed to sit around backstabbing each other in stylishly decorated houses..."
"Wait a minute. Velias?! Is that you?
What've you done, criminals?!"

Have you found him yet?!"
"Just lost them again. I'm making my way back now."
"How long till you get there."
"About two minutes, five seconds."
"Well, hurry up! I'm calling Cassie and Mike now to get the ship!
Cassie! Mike! Get the ship! We're pulling out early!"
Re: 216 Days (Jegus, Don't Teenagers Have Something Better To Do Than Angst All Day?)
Wait.... Of course. I must be holding the idiot ball again.
"Jenny! Mind powers. Go!"
"I already got him! We'd be dead already otherwise."
Shit. I've been holding the ball for longer than I thought. I'm such a dumbass sometimes.
The visions are changing again, though...
Ok, so don't let Stefan be the last to board the ship, or he'll die and.... become a trickster? How the fuck does that even work...
Dammit. I thought I finally had a good plan. Have Jenny control one of the hostages to stab Aiolos.
Don't try to turn Narfos on Aiolos, or Jenny'll go batshit crazy. Got it.
Looks like even if I try to do it on anyone else, the lawyer dude'll just block it with some red tape bullshit.
And the lawyer dude's completely blank. No mind games. I always knew lawyers had no souls. Then again, it wouldn't be good if the bad guys could control the lawyer, so guess I should've seen this coming. Like every other single damn thing I didn't think of.
This'd be a lot simpler if I was a light guy. I'd know exactly what I have to do. But no, I got to be the doom guy. I get to know what I can't do.
Kinda better, I guess. I can do anything that won't doom us. Those light bastards have to do exactly as they see.
Damn it all. It all comes down to the lawyer. I can't do anything while he's alive. Every time one of us tries to kill him, he just blocks it with some who knows what law article subsection crap, then it leads to getting butchered.
The one time we manage to do it, Stefan dies. And no way I'm letting Jenny die under my watch.
Guess I just gotta play it by ear and avoid all the doom crap.
Re: 216 Days (Jegus, Don't Teenagers Have Something Better To Do Than Angst All Day?)
"Ms. Brown, I must voice my concern that we may run out of handcuffs at this rate. If Emily cannot escape or kill her targets, we may not be able to successfully restrain all of them."
"Well, I figure I can blackmail them by threatening to have someone stab himself if we have to."
"Will you actually?"
"Hell no. I don't got the stomach for killing."
"I GOT IT! Ok, listen up guys. I have an idea.
Ok, so their lawyer dude's gonna be here soon. He's pretty much a walking lawbook. Thing is, he's bound to the same laws himself.
Then I began wondering; are they still stuck with the laws their people had before they somehow got this place filled?"
"Stefan. You're the nerd here. Anything?"
"Well, I am a history buff. So what laws would've they had before?"
"I'm thinking Elysian. It's the closest language they had to what our 5-pack computers could figure out."
"Well then, we're sunk. Elysium didn't even exist until about a century ago in our time.
Wait. No. The land Elysium had now was occupied. But split by Avernus and Talematros. And I think Lisphere and Saxony had colonies there too."
"Avernian laws."
"Damn, Danny. Doom powers strutting their stuff?"
"Knowing what not to do is pretty damn handy, I gotta admit."
"Alright, so what laws did you have in mind?"
"I can't imagine they have foreign policies, so anything'll do."
"Alright. I got something. Jenny, type this down.
"Hey, LISTEN THE FUCK UP for as long as I tell you to. I don't GIVE A SHIT what filthy hole you crawled out of, you are still by your birthright, a CITIZEN of Avernus. As MILITARY AGENTS of Avernus, we are fully within our rights to suspend most of yours. You know that little thing that allows you to carry weapons? Yeah, either DROP THEM or join us. If you want to keep your weapons, we can make you shave that DIRTY, NAUSEATING hair of yours, put on some decent clothes like a real MAN and draft you.
Also, forget not having to tell us anything. WE'RE AT WAR, dammit. Fuck it. If we want to take a look at your drawer, the only response we better be getting is NOTHING. NOTHING cause you're already taking that shit out of the desk LIKE A BOSS and getting it over to us. Also, you know all those fun little things you get cause we didn't bother to mention it in our laws? SCREW IT. You lose every single one of them. ALL OF THEM. If we didn't SPECIFUCKINGLY say you don't lose those rights, consider them lost like your momma's clothes at a bar. And SMILE, you little piece of shit. Don't be an UNPATRIOTIC bastard. LONG LIVE THE PEOPLE! LONG LIVE AVERNUS!"
"Ironically? I'm not even Avernian. Technically, I should be maiming the guy for making this since I'm Talematran.
Will this suffice, Daniel?"
"Yes. It will. It's perfect."
"So, leader man. What now? We wait?"
"First we tell Emily to hide for an ambush if things go wrong. Then we tell Cassie and Mike to delay as long as possible.
They'll be coming here soon enough. Every story like this always has a strife between the hero and the big bad before the actual final battle."
Re: 216 Days (That's Right, Man. Give Them Ruffians What For.)
"Hey wait. I just realized. How is it if we can't read their language that you can talk to them?"
"Stephen. Did you happen to have a copy of the Hitchhiker's Guide in the house?"
"No. Let me ask.
Excuse me, my dear, but how did you understand us?"
"We understand jack shit of what you're saying. You talk like a child who just learned how to speak."
"Let me try. Can you understand what we're saying?"
"Great. Now you switched to another set of broken words. What system did you come from anyway?
Sounds like a LoGaS accent, but something else... something I can't think of because LET US GO ALREADY.
THE FUCK DO YOU EVEN WANT?"
"No, man. Don't tell her. You never tell your prisoners your plan, no matter how good we got them tied up. On another note, we should've figured out what we'd do with them before we came here."
"If we'd had non-consolidated computers, perhaps we could provide them with unlimited Internet. That'd keep them occupied for eternity."
"OK, stop. Shut up. We're not the villains here.
Emily. Status?"
"They're nearing you. I'd say two minutes before they can shoot you, another minute for them to get to talking distance."
Re: 216 Days (That's Right, Man. Give Them Ruffians What For.)
"They... they didn't. How did they... Iernos, suggestions?"
"I suggest a duel. They know fully well that they cannot get out fast enough and keep hostages at the same time. I am, however, curious as to how they are keeping them restrained."
"Find out later. That is my matesprit down there, and one of the reasons why we haven't descended into chaos for nearly three sweeps."
"Ironically, that's when the bombings began. Regardless, I see what you mean. I believe Lady Sveklo down there is also intimately familiar with the strife of the times."
"Of course. I keep telling her to adapt to land. But nooo, she always asks to be handling the marine operations in the raids.
Let's go meet our ballsy captors, shall we?"
"Hello there, Aiolos Virken."
"You there. Identify yourselves."
"My name is Sollux Captor."
"He lies."
"Yeah, I can see that. We know of the original session as well, you know.
We're not stupid.
What are your terms, and why shouldn't we slay you on the spot?"
"My terms are that you are now being taken control of by an Avernian military guy, and you can either do that or drop all your weapons."
"For the people, Lord Virken."
"Telmistho! What's going on?!"
"They've got us, sir. They are indeed vested militarily, and their laws, while still older than even Gl'bgolyb herself, were never actually made defunct.
I will have to amend this as soon as we extricate ourselves from this mess."
Aiolos Virken; Guild Master of the 7th Legion, Prince of Storm!Breath
Lord Virken is a noticeably stronger and stranger seadweller than his contemporaries. Whereas many are content to rule from their undersea keeps, Virken spends almost all his time aboveground, only going under when an audience with a superior is requested, or a respected equal. The said list is rather short; the only ones said to command his respect as royal equals are Fleigh Svelko of the Incipicinerators, Jernmo Chekov of the Dusk Striders, and Robert Mulder of Delta Green, and even the last is a human, something unheard of for his time. The list of superiors is even shorter, with only the Empress able to call him. He is the guild master of the 7th Legion, a guild trusted by the Empress herself for being able to remain neutral in matters of conflicting interests, due to its own mix of trolls and humans, and thus able to maintain peace and order when none wish to do so.

-Fixed bug where Jason would fail to escape.
-Fixed bug where sometimes the opposing protagonist would actually derail the story despite the team's collective powers.
-Fixed several bugs where the new host of characters would fail to spawn.
-Fixed cinematic issue where Ferylias' intro would play before the Act 3 Prologue
-Fixed scaling issues where Aiolos would instigate a total party kill due to conservation of ninjutsu.
-Fixed issues where programmer actions would bleed into the story as unquoted dialogue.
-Please hold. Updating Sburb.
-Continue holding.
-No, sir, attempting to break the WTF rating of the session as well as granting over a hundred people ultimate power will not bring about the session faster.
-SIR! PLEASE. Refrain from attempting to gain a steady stream of Prankster's Gambit meter by poisonings will not only not give you said stream of energy, but also weaken the planet as a whole.

Sburb 1.6.1 is now live!
Patch 1.6 Notes
General
Patch 1.6 is coming!
The level cap has been increased, to 110. New powers for all classes are available.
Time/Space
-Despite what the Cult of Fieri may insist, all time-travel and/or space-warping capable heroes did not accidentally banish themselves beyond space and time due to hilarious yet horrible shenanigans. It is, instead, balance issues.
Really, having thousands of capable time warpers? Do you have any idea how screwed up the universe would be until it literally begged the janitor Lord English to blissfully end their spacetime mind fucks?
-On a related note, however, space players gain a limited modification of grist-made objects.
-Time players can now slow time to a rate of three thousandths of a second to a second relative to the observer at the highest levels, up from two thousandths. QQ moar.
Blood, Heart, Hope
-Blood can finally harbor trickster blood safely. However, as trickster blood no longer exists, good luck. Thank Sufferer too, since the last one to have it utterly messed things up something deliriously awful.
-Heart's buffs from being near powerful souls has been revamped to be based on the soul's ability to inspire others. This was intended to allow powerful leaders such as Ferylias Serket or Zakhemet Nitram to empower heart players into powerful warriors, while lesser leaders such as Xintal Peixes or Chase Mulder are less effective at doing so.
Also, they apply to those outside the Sburb system, as well as artificially made extensions of the system.
-Hope players can now turn off their Determinator trait. This was intended to allow tactical retreats and end wars without hope heroes from prolonging a war and costing more than they would've if the war had continued.
Void, Rage, Doom
-Void's blackout system has been modified. Instead of stacking, additional auras of Blacknet will increase the potency of the most powerful version of Blacknet by a certain percentage, subject to diminishing returns.
In addition, the range and power of Blacknet has been decreased to stop Internet users from complaining that most of the videos on YouTube recently have become nothing but black screens because a void player happened to be on the other side of the street from where the video was recorded.
-Rage is fine as it is. A few minor changes to make sure that anger manifestations did not include crudely and forcedly drawn human penises as only a mutant troll being coerced by a cool time kid could produce.
-Doom's precognition system has become more dynamic, being synched to the reaction times of the person in question. Biological impulses have been modified to work with said visions.
Life, Breath, Light, Mind
-Life players' damage abilities have been increased to rid them of the label of being good only for healing, when in fact, their healing is sometimes the worst kind that could be asked for.
The ability to recreate oneself from a single atom or any other insignificant molecular amount has once again, been rejected. The chunky salsa rule is still very much in effect.
-Breath's lungbending has been nerfed as many were instantly killing by spontaneously removing all oxygen from a target's lungs, even if the target did not use oxygen in the first place. It has been relegated to an interruption ability, as losing your breath is still harrowing. Also funny when one chokes midsentence in a comedic manner.
-Light players can no longer influence events with probabilities ranging over a trillion to any lower than a hundred thousand, and it must be capable of being directly influenced by the light player in question. We don't need a sperm whale and a petunia to suddenly materialize in thin air again, especially since how the last one then caused a lost Talematran regiment to telefrag into a greater Horrorterror on Derse.
Just don't ask how we know those two events are related.
-Mind players can once again read dirty thoughts, since some boneheads got the idea that plotting to overthrow the Empress by seducing her with their GENTLEMANLY MANLINESS was covered by the rule.
Story
There is a mysterious young man standing in some room in some apartment hive-complex whatsit in the Nespar district. There is another, slightly older man that resides in a house in the inner city of Alternis, which is totally not some name that was thought of in two seconds without any forethought as to how cheesy and various derogatory terms that also similarly cannot be thought of at the time the name sounds. A young almost-woman lives in Verdammak, who is also obviously Lena Travencal, because she's obviously the youngest. Or oldest. Or however it is these mind subversions of doubly averted, then subverted trope conventions go.
Meanwhile, a group from the originating world has entered, ready to finish the long overdue session.
But will either group survive to see the culmination of the session?
(SPOILER: THEY DON'T XD)
UI
Taking effect in Act 3, gameplay mechanics will be fleshed out as to stop rambling on about vague mechanics that seem as though they attempt to elude every single attempt at definition, much like the writings of Hussie himself, only very, very poorly written and not well thought out.
Loading options will finally be updated.
The obviously shitty, hasty pictures will be replaced by a single, only moderately shitty picture of the generalization of events that are occurring.
And whatever happens to fly through the empty, desolate hellscape known as the mind of the author.

WHAT'S GOING ON?"

"DAMMIT MAN IF YOU EVER DO THAT AGAIN I WILL BRING YOU BACK TO LIFE JUST SO I CAN KILL YOU FOR DYING IN THE FIRST PLACE."
"Sir. Sir! You're crushing my torso. Sir? SIR?!"
"Dammit Danny, get off him, it's my turn."
"Alright, so while I am in the prime position to introduce myself as having attained the God-Tier Rufio Pimpmaster levels, I must instead follow Michael's excessive waving and say that we must make our escape.
Danny, the plan. Your cue."
"Velias. If anything'd happened to you..."
"We should've been more prepared. We lost Bernard, then this, and we still haven't found Cirona, on top of it all."
"Lena. Thank goodness you're fine. I feared the worst."
"I'm fine, Chase. Did you happen to find Bernie?"
"Actually, yes. The others are bringing them back."
"Them? Wait, you mean..."
"Yes. We've found Cirona Keates as well. Both of them are severely injured, but they seem to be stable."
"So she's been found? Perhaps this day isn't a complete disaster."
"FUCK. Iernos! Dammit! FUCK!"
"Wait. No, he can't be dead. If he's gone...."
"Ferylias...."
"Things are going to become a lot worse. A LOT worse."
Re: 216 Days (Twilight Shout-Out. What Have I Done. Take me to the Stump.)
"Chase? I thought your name was supposed to be Robert."
"Miss Svelko, I go around with any name I damn please. For example, my last name used to be Travencal."
"He's just doing his cloak and dagger thing. His name's Chase Travencal, but he changed it to something that he thought was more serious.
Plus, there's that whole thing with bias for being related to me, favoring other guilds, that kinda political stuff and, you know, etc."
"Right. Anyway...
Aiolos. We have a serious problem. That was a trickster. I'm sure of it."
"Right. So why are you treating this like it's the Vast Glub again?
We just track him down and coordinate a few snipers to kill him."
"You don't understand. THIS IS SERIOUS BUSINESS HERE DAMMIT, SO PAY THE FUCK ATTENTION!"
"Damn. Alright, Mulder, go. Why is this so damn serious?"
"Ok, before I begin, how much do you know about mythology?"
"The basics. There are three gods, they killed some other gods, made us, then got killed or whatever."
"Fair enough. Alright, so what do you think can kill three gods, let alone one?"
"The trickster?"
"Yes. The trickster killed all three gods, then we don't know what happened after that. All we know is that we were still here, and around a century after that time, the Horrorterrors began attacking."
"We can't control it, can we?"
"NO. DUDE. Really? It could kill gods, and you want to try to train it. That's an amazing idea."
"There's still Ferylias to worry about. With Iernos gone, we have no way to keep her away from attacking. The last thing we need is a horde of elite, insane pirates attacking us again.
I mean, I held my own against her, and that was back then. Now, I'm sure I could kill her. But I can't be on fifteen planets at once."
"We're sooooooo fucked."
"Agreed."
"Alright, explain. Why did we leave behind all the hostages? We didn't get ANYTHING done, except getting the genetic samples."
"Visions. It'd be a case of revenge. If we'd killed either of the diplomat chicks, we'd be hunted down as revenge kills by their close ones.
I know, but the other three... someone's going to try to off the lead chick. If any of them were dead, they'd all get offed, and we'd be dead cause of something that wouldn't have been there if they were alive."
"Well, that's just great. So what now? What's our BRILLIANT exit plan?"
"Hearthstones. Danny told me that if we all go back, they can track our combined awesomeness or whatever. So they've been attuned to our planets.
I'll go to the blood planet, he'll go to the doom planet, et cetera, et cetera."
"That means I go back home. Sweet."
"Alright guys, take them.
And one last thing. I saw something happen. We'll actually be separated. An EMP'll knock out our stuff."
"......."
"....."
"Ok, stop. That's the absolute most contrived stupidity, plot tunneling whatever bullshit I've ever heard.
What the hell?"
"I'd stop and explain, but that EMP actually comes in about 15 seconds, so...."

Uh... dude? Really?
"Alright, fine. No. I lied. There is no EMP.
The thing is, this is a feeling I have. We can't just stay back on LoSaI and plot stuff. As much as I hate to admit it, Virken was right. We're underleveled. We need to get more experience, learn some new stuff, et cetera. So I say we each go to our own aspect planets, except Jenny. Jenny, you're going with Cassie to LoPaP.
Mike, you're coming with me to LoGaS. Stefan, you're going with Emily to LoSaC.
No. NO. NO. Shut up and let the leader speak.
From what I've been looking up, LoPaP's accepting of the handicapped, and they don't know what Jenny looks like. She could be normal there, and Cassie, you need to learn everything you can. Everything that we could use.
Mike, you're coming with me to LoGaS cause it's some kinda PvP planet or something. We need to powerlevel. We're gonna be the carries of the game. Just straight up farm like hell. We'll sign up as freelancers. No questions asked. Plus, Since you were piloting, and I had cool shades and a mask on, they won't know what I look like.
Stefan, you and Emily need to find stuff on LoSaC. We have Keates' DNA sample, so we have that part of the thing done. Find the sickest, most wicked stuff you can find, mix it all together. We'll find a way to get back to LoSaI, make it, and finally have a superweapon on our side. Also because with your partial trans-whatever, her medical skills might be needed before you go all sparkly on us. Just remember to hide, since they know what you two look like.
Any questions?"
"Yeah, I don't think it's a good idea to
"NO. Shut up, just do as you're told. We already thought of everything. Just go with it so we can end the act already."
