After a bit of maneuvering, you send a barrel careening toward the Bugbear! It strikes, dealing heavy damage!

This is probably the smartest thing you've done all day.


It fell for it! Well that's all your tricks, so there's only one thing left to do...

YB: Attack it like your life depends on it!

You slash and stab with your Crystal Toothpick, taking advantage of previous damage.


At long last you defeat the Bugbear! You level up, bringing you to Level 4! It dropped a Bugbear Pelt and a little sack of coins worth $20.

YB: Check out that cave.

Now that you think of it, it seemed like the Bugbear was guarding this cave. It must have something good inside...


Oh no. It's a little baby (orphan) Bugbear Cub. You are devastated.

Edit: I was playing the latest version. So, If you use 2 4 leaf cloves, your defense gets buffed to About 10000.
Then I accidentally hit escape and lost the window what kind of idiot am I.

Just found this thread, and my neurons deem it...

...awesome. Can't wait to try the game, but I'm stuck on a Mac OS 1.4.1 computer right now ._.

Something nobody needs to know, I judge adventures that are mature (5 pages+) by if I can read the entire thing and not get bored out of my mind. I read through the whole thing and didn't get bored out of my mind, so I guess I'll rate it 7/7.

You descend more stairs. You must be pretty close to the bottom.

YB: Check out the birdbath thing.

You have been wondering about those. You walk over to one and get a closer look. According to the Omnitome, its a Cup Shroom! Apparently it heals your Magic, whatever that's used for. You pick it up anyway.


Stairs and more stairs...


Wait a minute, this seems to be the bottom! Could this be the main mine?


It is! There are boulders everywhere, ripe for the smashing!


You equip your Pickaxe and smash a few boulders.


Hm, not much to speak of, but that's expected. The dwarf said that Rich Boulders were the way to go, and you're pretty sure those bluish ones are what you're looking for.


Success! Its a large chunk of chalky, white ore! The Omnitome says its Calsurium, which can be used to sharpen weapons! Cool!


After a some mining fun, you've found 4 chunks of Calsurium, 2 Copper Ore, 1 Iron Ore, and an Amethyst crystal. You're particularly proud of the Amethyst, which you're sure is worth a lot of money. Oh yeah, and you found like a million Hop Stones.

YB: Talk to the dwarves.

There's a few dwarves mining in here, so you go have a word with them. "Our town was built in the crater formed by an enormous meteor. Legend has it that the meteor had Moonstone in it's core. We've been mining for generations now, without any Moonstone to speak of," he says. You don't know anything about Moonstone, but it sounds rare. You want Moonstone.


"Some blokes started digging down a branching path a few days back. They think they'll strike Moonstone!. Don't they realize it's just a legend?" this other dwarf says. Sounds like your best Moonstone bet is to find these guys, and you're pretty sure you know where they are.


Before walking back to find those Moonstone-searchers, you explore a bit more. Around the corner, you find a minecart track! "It's a long walk back to the entrance, so you can use this Minecart to get there in a giff," a nearby dwarf informs you. Don't mind if you do!


This thing looks pretty rusty though... You carefully get inside.


It takes off at rocket speed! You'll be back in no time!


You speed past a chest! You're going far too fast to retrieve it now, you'll have to find another route.


In no time at all you're back where you started! (What will you do?)
