@topic: I'm guessing that everyone in each starting group knows everyone else, somehow. Otherwise there's got to be an explanation for how random unknown people get into the session. I mean, it's possible that this version has some kind of system for people to find others to connect to if they don't have friends playing, or there could be an error that links servers to clients that they didn't plan to connect to. Or, for that matter, someone could mistype someone's IP address and connect to a different person who also happens to be playing the same game, but the chances of that actually happening seem pretty small...

Well, each troll doesn't need to know each other, know of each other perhaps but it's not like they'd need a history with each and every troll.

Hell, if I get in, I have the type of character who would only chat with two other trolls at frequent times, maybe three.

UU relates that the Heart aspect is comparable to the "Soul", or essence of being. She also says that this aspect may cause splintering in the Hero's personality. This manifests in DIRK STRIDER's status as the Prince of Heart by having simultaneously awake real and dream selves, in addition to having created his AUTO-RESPONDER AI. This may also be related to the role-playing tendencies of NEPETA.
The associated Denizen of the Heart aspect is YALDABAOTH, who presumably fills the role for all Heart players.

As a form of torture (for my troll), the abilities of a Seer of Heart player could manifest as an in depth knowledge of romance and a constant drive to sort peoples lives out.
The exact opposite of what she's looking for.

That would never happen what with it being an almost useless ability. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Hm, I think Dirk's situation is caused as much by him as by his aspect. It could be that while people who share an aspect have some traits in common, the way that aspect is expressed is largely shaped by their personality/view of self and the experiences they've had. Class probably has an effect too. Though how much goes into (more) baseless speculation...with all the stable time looping stuff, it's hard to guess which came first, the title or the persona. *shrug*

As for the Seer of Heart power: I think it could be useful if expanded a bit. Maybe instead of just being limited to romance, she could see the bonds between people in general. Then it could work for all four quadrants as well as for platonic connections, and maybe she could learn how to tell if someone's hiding their true feelings about someone else. Sure, it's not a great power for use in battle, but that's the case for all Seers, right? When trying to cooperate with consorts/chess people/other players though, knowing who likes who and who can't stand each other comes in handy.

I was just thinking of Twitch's shield powers. As a knight he's probably going to be the protector of some (or most) of the gang, especially with shields as his aspect making him the defensive tank. But this negates his whole thing with not wanting to look weak and useless so he fights aggressive any chance he gets.

Maybe the whole shield thing could be a metaphor of how he's covering up mist of his emotions with a "shield" of anger and cynicism. Since before the whole thing with his girlfriend he was an anxious but otherwise positive guy.
