I just realized that Sburb is a convoluted metaphor for growing up. At that age where they are all growing up players are sucked into their own little world and go on a wild journey with virtually no direction. Guided only by the spirits of loved-ones and security blankets they must eventually leave them behind as their old self dies and their dream self ascends to its full potential. Along the way they make short side-trips into their friends worlds, working together to build each other up, and create your own reality to take charge of.

The cueball wasn't invisible to Doc Scratch because of any Void effects. It was invisible to Doc Scratch because if he knew about it then the timeline wouldn't have followed the Alpha path. It would have been a doomed timeline instead where he simply takes the ball back or something, and Vriska doesn't get eyesploded.

Err, probably not since Doc Scratch has claimed to have almost complete omniscience over anything, and the only thing we've seen so far that he didn't know about or didn't deduce, is the cueball, because it was kept near the Zahhak's, because their Voidy powers made dark pockets in Scratch's knowledge that he couldn't reach.

If Doc Scratch had known about the cueball and just didn't do anything because it would have disturbed the timeline, he wouldn't have flipped out that much when Terezi told him about the cueball.

I think you need to re-read Mindfang's journal. Mindfang says he was able to know its whereabouts but she found a void in his awareness surrounding Darkleer and so left it with him so he couldn't track it.
