scout may be hitscan but the way the dh works you may as well just treat it like a really slow hitscan

Actually, I disagree. I used to play a lot of the sniper, particularly with the huntsman. I consistently got in the top three in the scoreboard.

Sooo, yeah. I like the huntsman. You shouldn't be back sniping with it though, you need to be closer to the front lines.

Maybe I'm just weird, but I love my huntsman.

Sniper is a pretty bad class in general, it's just that most people don't know how to deal with them or are playing on a shitty map (fact, one of the first marks of a bad map is that it is sniper friendly).

Any class that can kill 5 of 9 classes (including the all important medic) from a distance in one quick shot, 7 of 9 with only a minor amount of charging, and all 9 with a sufficient charge even overhealed is going to have a niche.

I must respectfully disagree with you. Sniper is one of the classes that can neatly remove most of the force from a push by taking out the medic who's about to get his ubercharge, sniping the heavy as he sits there dealing insane amounts of damage, etc. Sniper is about positioning and prioritizing. Positioning because it's tricky to get into place for that one crucial shot, and prioritizing because it's not really going to help if you take out the scout just before the medic ubers the soldier.

I think Redmage already wanted it, but I doubt you can equip both luchador at the same time, or that you'd even see it... it would most likely clip horribly if you could equip it with server lag, which I admit is probably Mage's thing.

I guess I'll see who come to trade with me first?

Saying "x class is terrible" is pointless when someone who's really good at it can be just as good as you in your best class.

And Arms, almost every map I can think of is sniper friendly to some degree. Just about every map except CP_Cow has some wide open area where a sniper can just stand and try to snipe anyone who goes through the area. I'd be more worried about a map being bad if it was extremely pyro friendly - pyros want tons of tight corridors and corners and a map with too much of that makes it easy to get lost

The new vote plugin needs a revote option. That said, it's still an improvement.

I'm still looking for several items including most holiday 2011 items and the pyro cosmetic set and the scout pistol and the new rocket launcher and the sniper SMG.
