"I do," volunteers Iustia.

"A boss," counters Meb. Iustia scowls back at Meb, opening her mouth.

Carmin immediately steps between them before Iustia can retort, holding up a hand. "let2 focu2 on the ta2k2 at hand. we only have a 2hort time before the adult2 relea2e everyone el2e and the FLARP officially 2tart2. we'll lo2e our lead if we take too long."

"Fine," says Iustia, relenting, crossing her arms. The newly christened Selene sits on the side of the table.

"The table is not for sitting," says Leon, sitting behind her.

"0kay," she says, standing up and stepping away as Carmin walks to the table, taking out a large sheet of paper and planting it on the table. Carmin motions to everyone.

"put your chair2 around the table. quickly," she says.

The entire present gang, outside of Kiplin and Selene, begins pulling chairs out their inventories, placing it around the table. To only mild surprise, Dante's chair is red and Carmin's is green.

"...Two thing2," begins Dante, raising a hand to call attention to himself. "Fir2t, we don't have enough chair2 for the new people."

"Someone could, um, sit in your lap," starts Iustia, smiling a little, her chair next to his. "Like, maybe, m-" Her offer is interrupted as Kiplin makes a running jump and lands on Dante's lap, ignoring Dante's yelp of surprise and mild pain. Kiplin looks at Carmin and gives her two thumbs up and a wide grin.

"I think you're cru2hing my lap," wheezes Dante, which is again ignored.

"I wwwwwwwwas going to sit there!!!!!!!!" says Iustia, shaking her fist in rage at Kiplin. Kiplin responds only by turning to her and switching her double-thumbs-up into double-middle-fingers.

Carmin rolls her eyes as the rest of the gang shifts impatiently, aside from Neko, who continues smiling vacantly. "2till got 2elene."

Kiplin pats her lap. "s1t here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

"0kay"

Dante wheezes again as Selene sits on Kiplin, who continues to sit on Dante.

"Do neither of you take bath2!" he hisses, smelling a rather powerful combination of sweat and griminess from both ladies.

Carmin powers on word, motioning for every to scoot closer to the table. She clears her throat and begins to speak.

"okay, we're going to 2plit into team2 to handle multiple dutie2 here. two flarp team2, including dante'2. EL and i will 2tay here to watch the potion 2hop and make 2ure 2elene get2 real medical attention from trained ho2pital 2taff. the first flarp team will con2i2t of dante, iu2tia, and meb, of course. the 2econd will con2i2t of leonida2, hippoc, and neko."

">:3 Awwwww. But I didn't want to FLARP!" says Neko.

"i'm 2orry, we're 2hort one Queen Of Heart. 2ince de2tiny is out of town, we need you to do thi2. for u2. the grand prize i2 probably 2hiny."

"tank1n6, of course," says Kiplin, with a proud grin, speaking as if this was an obvious fact to everyone in the room and only fools would suggest otherwise.

"okay, good. you can go with team dante."

"Wwwwwwwwhat!!!!!!!!" shouts Iustia, clenching her teeth and slamming a fist down on the table.

"calm down, iu2tia, now i2n't the time to complain. a tank will round out your team nicely. my brother would agree."

Dante gives a thumbs up from somewhere under the Kiplin-Selene pile.

"........I guess."

"now would everyone take a look at the map on the table?" continues Carmin. Everyone peers down at it.

"intelligence - by which i mean neko 2couting out the map thi2 morning, which by the way i am very glad of con2idering dante'2 team left the meeting too early - 2ugge2t2 that the campaign con2i2t2 of the2e four dungeons loosely themed after the human adult2' SBURB land2. each dungeon i2 operated by one game ma2ter, who 2erve2 a2 a bo22 at the end. each bo22 guard2 a key, and in turn, you need all four key2 to unlock...2ome kind of prize at the center of the campaign. we don't know what it i2, but 2omething...large and pre2umably very valuable wa2 moved in earlier today. we don't know anything about it beyond that. additionally, it 2eem2 that one team cannot collect all four key2, a2 there2 only one copy of each." Carmin glances up, and notices that Kiplin's hand is raised. "ye2, miss ancip2?"

"um, yes," she says. "you ment1oned a EL."

"yes. eternalLoneline22."

"you d1dn't 1ntroduce a EL earlier................"

"i did not."

"where are they?"

Carmin jabs her thumb back towards the couch. "2leeping back there. i'll wake her up when it2 time to work. 2he doe2 that a lot."

"nope."

"moving on, then. we're going to need to choo2e where to 2end both team2. we can 2end them both to one dungeon, but that probably leave2 u2 with only one chance to grab a key, and we'd be, um...cheating more directly. we can also split up and head to two different dungeon2, which would make both dungeon2 harder but leave u2 with two chance2 to grab a key. additionally, each dungeon - a2 you may notice - ha2 two exit2 to the adjacent dungeon2, in addition to an exit to the "prize" and one leading back to town. the former two exit2 would make it ea2ier to help out or meet up with the other team if nece22ary."

She looks over at her brother Dante, as much as she can with the two girls obscuring him. "brother, where do you want to 2end the team2?"

"Anyway," continues Dante, his face barely poking out between Selene and Kiplin's. "I'd also like to send Leonidas to Wind and 2hade, then. They're ba2ically right next door and all. It'll be easier to meet up if 2omething goe2, ah, pear 2haped."

"Now i2 not the be2t time for...language...and metaphor...-ing...ne22."

Dante blinks a few times after the awkward finish to his sentence. Then claps his hands (around Selene and Kiplin).

"All right, people! Let2 get ready and get going! There'll be plenty of time for a reunion and figuring thing2 out later!"

"aand when all four keys are brought to the big...thingy in the center," finishes Anilin, having enthusiastically described the entire deal to her friends in much the same way as Dante and Carmin, albeit without a visual aid. "iit unlocks the awesome prize!"

"which is?' asked Dick, somewhat incredulously.

"aawesome."

"but what is it"

"aawesome is what it is, stupid! tthat's all we need to know!"

"yeah ok great"

Anilin has been leading the group (including Levita, who presently smells like rotting fish left out in the sun at low tide) in the general direction of the dungeons. She turns abruptly to them, throwing her hands up in the air to stop them.

"aall right, gglub gglub! bbefore i forget, which dungeon will we be raiding?"

"NO!!!!!!!!" shouts Iustia, pulling her pirate hat down over her head and biting her lip in rage. "Wwwwwwwwwe are not there, okay!!!!!!!!"

Behind her, Kiplin shrugs. Dante walks next to Iustia, hands in his pockets, while Meb walks on the other wide. They are mostly ignoring DR and RD's arguing.

"1f you say so. hey, 1us?"

"Don't call me that."

"Iu2," Dante says quickly, attempting to interrupted. "Watch where you're walking, I think-"

"are we there yet?" says Kiplin, that wide smirk crossing her face again.

Iustia clenches her teeth and spins around, raising her fist at Kiplin. "WWWWWWWWE ARE NOT THERE, OKAY? WWWWWWWWHEN WWWWWWWWE ARE THERE, YOU WWWWWWWWILL KNOWWWWWWWW!!!!!!!! SO SHUT YOUR MO-" Her ranting stops when she suddenly falls out of view into a pit, with a scared squeak that was suddenly cut short.

Meb and Dante run forward, both diving towards the side of the pit and looking down into it.

Iustia was only a short ways down, having landed harmlessly on a circular metal platform. She blinks a few times before standing up. "Owwwwwwww," she murmurs.

"Iu2tia!" Dante shouts down. "Are you all right?"

"Yeah........Good thing it wwwwwwwwas a small pit."

Meb looks around the pit. Well, first around. Then up. Then a long look around.

"Uh...Iustia..."

"Wwwwwwwwhat?"

"This wasn't a smarrlrrl pit..."

"Wwwwwwwwhat do you mean?"

"It's the dungeon."

They all looked around, Kiplin finally strolling up to the edge and looking over with them.

'The pit', as it turns out, appeared to be more of a large crater, extending in a wide circle around a large chunk of the Mindfang district, despite being practically invisible from nearly anywhere else in town. A look inside the crater revealed, at the very bottom, molten lava - simulated, one would hope.

Suspended above it were many, many platforms of various sizes, suspended above the lava as if by some unseen force. Buildings rose out of it as well, impossible buildings that should not have been able to withstand the heat of real lava.

Kiplin whistled, impressed. "so are we here yet, then?"
