If she actually was frightened of Roxy somehow, that would be pretty awesome. I tend to agree with the people who think Meenah is just kind of a crazy bitch, or other personality trait-related reasons, but if there was a plot-related thing (she didn't go after John, after all, and she COULD have killed him non-permanently since she recognized him as having got the tiger) that would make this part of the story a lot more interesting.
