Castelocked is your stock standard bloodswap, featuring the adventures of Grey Sollux all the way through to Tyrian Tavros! It reached about 200 pages last year before I discontinued it because of poor mental health. Now it is back with a vengeance.

We start with Maroon Nepeta eyeing off her Cruxite Tinned Tuna.

ONE SWEEP AGO

Maroon Nepeta the Fiduspawn breeder and Cerulean Eridan the ace FLARPer were rivals for Olive Vriska's kismesissitude. Wanting to get rid of his rival, Eridan uses his mind control to throw Nepeta into a pit of her own Fiduspawn, crippling her. Vriska is impressed, accepting his hate, but this upsets her matesprit Brown Kanaya. They argue, and Kanaya leaves Vriska to take care of Nepeta, who is now paralyzed from the waist down. Kanaya talks to Blue Feferi, who is in love with her moirail Eridan, and asks her to break off her moirailship to show disapproval. Feferi is reluctant, but agrees to do so out of moral outrage.

Eridan, unable to take rejection from his moirail, manipulates the strongest person he knows (Jade Equius) into attempting to kill Kanaya as she sleeps during the day. However, he hasn't anticipated that Kanaya now keeps daylight hours as a means of helping Nepeta cope, so she is awake for Equius's ambush and turns his own lusus (Father Grub) against him. Equius breaks out of being manipulated just in time to see his lusus die at his own hands, realises he was being controlled by Eridan, and exiles himself in the desert. Eridan gives up and is forced to make do with a strong black romance with Vriska.

Meanwhile, Purple Aradia has dug up the SGRUB from the frog temple under the sea during one of her many trips to find food for Tii'nkrbyuul, Tyrian Tavros's monstrous lusus. She sends it to her moirail, Grey Sollux, who is secretly in love with her, before going to go have dinner with Feferi, who *she* is secretly in love with. Unfortunately, Feferi is still very much hung up on Eridan, and Aradia can't summon the confidence to say "date me instead." They part amicably as friends.

Yellow Terezi has just finished slaying her lusus, who was a source for the VOICES, but she's lost an eye in the process. She contacts Indigo Karkat to brag, which worries him immensely as he is flushed for the crazy dragonslayer. He normally feeds his moirail Teal Gamzee a sopor pie every day to stop him from turning into the Craziest Legislacerator, but he puts it off to go rush to see if Terezi is okay. As a result, Gamzee turns sober and goes out to "EXECUTE A CRIMINAL". He encounters Aradia on her way home and clubs her to death with his gavel. Tavros finds her body on the shore. News spreads, Karkat feels incredibly guilty, Sollux is heartbroken and continues to work on the code in her memory. However, Aradia's ghost returns after a while and starts haunting Feferi (who can't see her) and Nepeta (who can).

A sweep passes. Vriska and Eridan are still kismesii, but Vriska misses Kanaya badly. Nepeta lives in a cave, still paralyzed, and Kanaya helps her out as her official moirail. Tavros is all alone at the bottom of the sea, working double time to try and feed Tii'nkrbyuul, and is wrapped around Eridan's little finger. Karkat is still on Gamzee duty, having lost his feelings for Terezi. Gamzee is the same as ever. Sollux has finished the code with Terezi's help, and is wondering what to do without Aradia around. So he sends it on...

Sollux sends it to Karkat and Terezi, who sends it to Nepeta and Feferi. Nepeta sends it to Kanaya before they go to sleep. Feferi sends it to Eridan. Gamzee was outside Feferi's hive, but he got shot off her ledge and returned to his hive. Karkat sends it to Equius before he trolls Tavros and goes off to take care of Gamzee. Tavros accidentally destroys Karkat's hive.

A bunch of other stuff happened but the bottom line is now everyone's getting into the SGRUB swing of things.

• Maroon Nepeta is currently being servered by Kanaya. She has just prototyped her sprite twice with her skull hat and more bones, and is trying to open her cruxite item. She can talk to the dead, but is hampered by her lack of moving legs. She hates Eridan and Vriska with a passion.
  
• Yellow Terezi is a nutcase who lives in a treehouse and slays dragons. She lost one eye in the fight with her lusus and keeps it's skull in her hive. She is the leader of the red team and is standing by idle. She hears the voices of the doomed and deceased. She is close to Sollux and once had a thing with Karkat, but that ended with Aradia's incident.
  
• Brown Kanaya is servering Nepeta. She is unaware of Vriska's plan to swoop in and server her instead of Feferi. Kanaya can partially daywalk and control animals, and has been dodging Eridan's attempts to assassinate her for a sweep. She has dreamed on Prospit under the guidance of a mysterious white figure who she calls "Mother Longlegs."
  
• Green Vriska is plotting with Eridan to disable Feferi for long enough to make Vriska be Kanaya's server instead. Green Vriska has vision 4fold (actually 5fold) which allows her to control lowerbloods from any distance away, and dabbles in both FLARP and Fiduspawn. She has trouble not seeing everything as a game to be won, which is what ultimately lead to her and Kanaya's split.
  
• Jade Equius is a recluse, but has reluctantly agreed to play SGRUB. He is an avid gardener and lives in a desert oasis with a whole bunch of asshole zombie eating plants. His life is literally Plants Vs. Zombies. Ever since Eridan manipulated him into trying to kill Kanaya he's been holed up in his hive. His plant puns are the worst things ever.
  
• Teal Gamzee is fucking bonkers and thinks he is His Honorable Tyranny. If Indigo Karkat doesn't keep him in check Gamzee just murders everyone. He has recently been fed a pie by Karkat and is now placid, but who knows how long that'll last for? Donk donk.
  
• Cerulean Eridan is a total douche with a troll-eating seahorse lusus and the ability to mind control anyone who makes eye contact with him regardless of caste. He is currently trying to hypnotize Blue Feferi on request from his kismesis Vriska, and has convinced Tyrian Tavros they're matesprits so he can leech cash off the royalblood.
  
• Blue Feferi is in the process of being hypnotized by Eridan. She is a STRONG roboticist and a pacifist whose homicidal rage tendencies manifest in her robots instead. Her blind love for her moirail has left her blind to Purple Aradia's love for her.
  
• Indigo Karkat is about to discover his hive has been wrecked by Tavros. He is the world's shittiest subjugglator and is basically a huge sap who can't forgive himself for Aradia's death, although that might change since he just found out she's sort of kind of alive.
  
• Purple Aradia is A Ghost. Boo. Feferi is apparently going to make her a new body. She doesn't have a lot of telekinesis, but she makes do with what she does. Once upon a time she was a very nice girl.
  
• Tyrian Tavros is in standby to play and is wrapped around his matesprit (?) Eridan's little finger. His Horrorburger lusus accidentally trashed Karkat's seaside hive. He's, like, totally ripped. Wow.

I had started reading this back in December but lost track of it. I am now keeping track of ALL THE BLOODSWAPS(No not ALL OF THEM I can never keep track of them all there's just too many)!!!!

Also, having Feferi build Aradia a new body is a horrible idea, considering they're all HELLMURDERCRAZY. PREDICTABLY SO! The fact that they've even CONSIDERED it is a HUGE oversight and an absolutely BRILLIANT plot point for later when the game starts.
