No, that wouldn't work. If that was the case then I could just switch my vote to MathGirl again and she would get the boot after she confirmed being scum.
...although that would also be fairly hard to counter if it is done within minuets of the end of the day.
I suppose a MathGirl lynch is better than nothing, and the majority is also there. It isn't a landslide, so I get the feeling I may be changing it when I get home tomorrow if the tides are right, and we have ourselves a better candidate by then.
Actually the votes on me are off i actually only have 2 on me since ~ATH took is IV off. Also the frago vote on me is an rvs vote as well... the doof vote i completely forgot why that vote got on me.
Reads have been colour coded for your convenience. Also, I wonder how many people stopped posting after we quit the mechanics talk/got out of rvs? Not only that, but I'd like to point out to the lurkers that not posting hurts town. It hurts town a lot. Please post. I was going to post something else here, but I guess I forgot. /shrug/
1. ~ATH: Feel good about you, kinda wish you were around more, though. Null-Town read.
2. Dragonpaul99: Hm. Not sure how to feel about you. Probably because you aren't around enough. Null Read.
3. Doofaeus: Where are you? You've only had 4 posts since we started, and only one of those was an actual attempt at scum hunting... With not much in reasoning. On day 1, vibes are most often a widely accepted method of finding scum. Null-scum read.
4. MathGirl277: "no one can set up reads and no one can act sufficiently scummy"... Am I the only one who sees the odd wording in the last half? Especially since no one aims to intentionally look scummy? Wow. That actually made my read on her go WHEE-OOH-WHEE-OOH. Scum-dar ping.
5. Fragowump: Stated he would intentionally remain in RVS till end of day. Very few posts past the daystart mark. Null-scum read. There is such a thing as overwhelmed, and then there is trying to coast by with that reasoning. I feel this is the latter.
6. Crilly: >: I don't like that you forgot about us, but I guess it happens. Also you've provided good reasons. Null-Town read.
7. feralFantom: Skated by on a Mathgirl RVS for a bit, Unvoted, then revoted Mathgirl... Has been posting IVotals. Hopped on the Mathgirl wagon reaaaaaaally late, too. His reasons are kinda iffy. Null-scum read.
8. seastormjt: Don't like her reasoning of scum would never claim reasons this early. Scum will always try to have a reason for everything, otherwise they get outplayed and have scumslips and shit (also Tea pointed out you can't have reasons this early, Lol). So bad reasoning on your part. Don't really like that you claimed her "reasons" make her not scummy twice. Null-scum read.
9. A Killer Cuppa Tea: I like Tea. Tea feels town. I wish he'd be able to post more since the Mathgirl incident, but due to IRL stuffs thats probably not possible. So town-read for now.
10. Vancho1: Says he is okay with a Mathgirl lynch, but doesn't place a vote. Also hasn't posted all that much. Null-scum read.
11. Pharas: I'm me and I'm town so deal wit it.
12. ThunderJolt: This person is replacing out.
13. Namboto: POST. POST. POST. POST. Lurker read.
14. Intoxicating Starlight: How does unvoting kill rvs-ness? To me it just looks like she is trying to appear active by posting a lot, but doesn't really have much in the way of content. Null-read.
15. Airey: POST. POST. POST. POST. Lurker read.
16. baxbound: K, so you seem like you genuinely wanna help town... Except you don't seem to understand basic mechanics. Uh. Yeah. Newb-Town read.
17. Deceptive: Like your posts. Seems towny enough. Would love to see some major scumhunting going on, though.
18. jwlk: Kinda like you. If you'd post more. Your last post seems relatively town though. Like the scum-hunty nature. Null-town read.
19. Eidolonic: Don't like you. Meta is never a good reason to vote someone, unless its on policy. Also get back in here. Do like your point on Decep, however, now that he has revealed himself as a voter. Null-read.
20. Aerinon: I like you, but I'd appreciate it if you posted more. Lurker read, leaning on town.
21. anacreon: Never actually voted Mathgirl even though she was awaiting an explanation. Her reasons for voting Fortuna suck, Also she has spent a lot of time defending her statements. Did I mention she hasn't IV'd since the Mathgirl gambit? Scum read.
22. amymist: POSTPOSTPOSTPOSTPOSTPOSTPOSTPOST. URGH. Lurker read.
23. sonic3535: Like that you are scum hunting in your latest posts. Thats a good thing to do. Exceeeeeeeeept, I don't like how you waved fingers at the whole Mathgirl & friends gambit recently without actually dropping a vote- after which you quickly switch to Deceptive. If you say you're okay with a lynch, at least vote, gog damnit! Null-scum read.
24. chezrush: Came in, dropped a vote on Eidolonic stating for the exact same reason as baxbound, then left. POST. I'M GETTING TIRED OF SAYING THIS. Lurker read.
25. Fortuna: Ok. So... Uh... You blew up at Decep for the Mathgirl thing. Also you said that it was probably a gambit before she even declared it a gambit. Also I'd like it if you post. Lurker read.
Anyway. Now that I have safely discerned which person I find the most scummy, I guess I shall properly IV. Oh right. IV: Mathgirl for that thing I pointed out that is kinda like "Wat?"
I like this post. I don't agree on all the reads but I very much like this post. Pharas is probably town.
=P Thats probably because I find a lot of people scummy for various reasons. But yeah. My reads are always like that. More scum reads than not scum. But it is more productive than calling everyone town, I can say that much. XD Lololol.
A few RL things have been cleared up-ish. Hellish few days with work combined with my internet being temperamental and sucking the fun out of my limited free time = me not being around much.
And uh. What.
I wasn't calling Deceptive scum. I was just warning people that this was a plan I could see scum Deceptive making, and not to follow him blindly like sheep.
The Jwlk vote was also RVS-y, and all kinds of not-really-serious. I did want him to post, and I've been happy with how he has posted so far, even if it's been largely infrequent (hypocritical, yes, yes). So Un-imaginary vote: Jwlk
The whole Mathgirl shenanigans uh. I don't think she's scum? Like... I'm getting experimenting town vibes from that? It's a thing I can see town doing to try and do something in a game with this strange setup. Where RVS is even more useless than normal because the votes don't even matter.
Which makes me sort of not like the people that jumped all over her for it. It's..unfortunate that roles don't flip on death here. Mathgirl's flip would be extremely informative, bleh. Judge does get that information, and I'll just leave a note here for them to be very careful about acting strongly on it.
Still keeping an ever-suspicious eye on Deceptive. He's doing +Town things, but he would be no matter his alignment. Him being a voter in conjunction to coming up with the plan initially, and jumping all over Mathgirl, I just.. dunno. Cognitive dissonance where the saying and doing are clashing, resulting in a read that is basically null.
I'm cool with Tea. Part of me actually likes an 'all voters reveal and vote' plan, but it's not to be this game, anyways. It's an aggressive risk/reward scenario that so meshes with my attitude towards such things in general. A safe player I'm not, heh.
Uhhh. Alright with Pharas. Readwall was good, even if I disagree with them on the Mathgirl thing. I'm capable of being wrong, and most of the other reads look reasonable - with nothing jumping off board at me as being 'Uhhh, wait a minute..what?'
I like Bax. Newbtown, trying hard, but sort of flailing about a little bit. The effort is excellent, and I get the vibes that he's genuinely trying to help.
Fortuna... I've never seen Towntuna, I don't think? She's excellent scum, and a solid player in general, and... I don't know. I don't think she'd explode like that as scum, I really don't. I'm aware that defending Math and Fortuna in this post is going to look horrific, but yeah. I just don't... see it, even if it's the strongest thing we have going at the moment.
Don't like Chezrush. I'm fine with people poking me with a stick, but doing so in the manner he did is kind of bad and makes me stare at them.
Don't like FeralFantom. Might have mangled name, sorry! It's early. Late. Whatever. Having trouble articulating this one, but they're just...existing.
On a side note, people just 'existing' is going to be a thing in this game, both town and scum. I don't really like the limited voters plan from a +Fun perspective, because it makes the game feel less... engaging and real, and bleh. Imaginary votes don't matter, and we just don't learn as much from the wagons and responses as we would in most setups. Which is the point behind the setup, but, yeah.
I just can see a lot of people kind of coasting even as town this game. I've been victim for it already, there's just... a lack of discussion-y things in general. And yes, yes, if I'm not part of the solution, blah, blah. I'll try to be around more and be better. Just feeling 'bleh' in general, both with this game and with things outside of game. (Just ignore me, I'll come around. I just need things to actually happen. Day ones and I don't mesh very well)
i gave this thread a quick reread and, honestly, kinda skim-read the bigger posts (im talking about Rin's and Eidolonic's readwalls).
That said, im still happy with (and prefer) a Mathgirl lynch over any other. Don't really see the pressure on sonic, but im not exactly reading town on him. Its a case of Null Read vs Scum Read - i'm gonna lynch the scum read. My strongest scumread is Mathgirl. My IV stays there.
Here are a few other things on the top of my head:
--Kinda regret defending Fortuna; she's had one post and it wasnt the BEST of posts. Want more from her; she ought to be on the spotlight tomorrow.
--I'm kinda reading preeeeetty townie on most people who are actually posting. The lurkers strike me as being PR-Scum - altho, to be fair, that could be me jumping at shadows (and they could even be Town PRs trying to hide - its prolly what i woulda done, so i could we should be careful about that), but the lurkers deserve some very narrow eyes and glares.
--The voters - both of them - need to be looked at very carefully. I'm glad they are both posting, which is good. Getting ~vibes~ of some sort from Bax, seems scared to step out of line, possibly newbtown, potentially newbscum. (this aint even an FoS, mind, its just something that felt like it needed mentioning (im leaning town on him))
--Glad that these particular voters will not be dying. At least they post!
--I am not going to have time, like, at all, until late NEXT week. Don't expect anything much from me, y0.
Hi Eido. Good to see you post. That's kind of what I was looking for from you. I'm feeling good enough about Eido after post that I'll UIV: Eidolonic. I kind of agree with you on your view of Deceptive. Seems town but then maybe not?
So, those who are criticizing our revealed voters: well, like it really all our own fault. I mean, we really aren't giving them a clear majority to work with and someone said it earlier that Mathgirl really doesn't have that many IVs on her as the votals suggest. I don't think we should lynch Mathgirl today unless we really can't find anything better. Granted, I understand that everyone is having a hard time finding scum, I guess this is the downside of the low voter plan?
A lot of the active posters and the middling ones I'm having a hard time finding scum reads. Perhaps we should start with people who are abstaining from the imaginary vote? I'm guessing that's just going to be a list of lurkers. But if people aren't participating in the IV, they are denying us important information about them and perhaps they have something to hide?
Also, agree on the whole two guys should vote together and not tie it unless you really want the judge to decide. Baxbound: you may not be able to switch your vote around if scum attempts a quick vote minutes before deadline. Just saying.

Thank you. It is a tad annoying when I'm supposed to be doing this by majority, and most of the votes are either old votes that need to be updated, or leftovers from gambits, where I can't tell if they still support that wagon or not. (i.e. MathGirl) We need more people to get IVing, so that we can gather a better consensus.
I also sorta realized that last night. It was late and I wasn't thinking the best. However, I get it now.

As I've said before if anyone has any questions for me I want them to ask me soon. I'd much rather have as much suspicion cleared about me and as much out in the open as possible now, than regret that later when/if people stop trusting me.
And I'm scared to step out of line because fuck I'm still new and I'll say something stupid again. >_>

Good post.
I'm happy that you did really, and I want to hear more from you in the future.
"Newbtown" would probably describe me best now really. I'm still a complete newb, and I sorta had a bit of a crash course in mafia over the past few days trying to figure everything out. I hope to straighten my act up more in Day 2.
I'd say that the IV there went well and I like this new information. UIV: Edio

Again, Newbtown is entirely correct I think.
Good Readwall, nice analysis. I certainly don' agree with everything here, but it's nice to hear more perspectives on things. I want more of these, and like you said,
@Deceptive: I agree that it's silly, but it makes things safer. I don't really suspect you for anything else... so UIV: Deceptive.
@Pharas, I thought mathgirl had a enough vote pressure, so I didn't see the point, besides the fact I'd just unvoted her and felt silly about voting her again. But okay, I'll keep that in mind.
Sorry for a short post, I'm pretty busy and need to get off the computer. IV: mathgirl for being the only one I can pin down as acting scummy. I'm not sure I'll be here again before day end, but hopefully we'll have real things to work with for day 2, so I can feel useful...
Baxbound, 2.5 hours from deadline isn't the right time to pressure a lurker.
Also I probably won't be around at deadline. Hell, I thought deadline was two hours ago. Q, next time you need to not just say the day but the time of day (and timezone).

Also I probably won't be around at deadline. Hell, I thought deadline was two hours ago. Q, next time you need to not just say the day but the time of day (and timezone).
I can still ask though.
Doesn't mean that request doesn't carry on to the next day.
But yeah, specific times would be nice. Perhaps keeping the hours could be cool too just in case, but whatever. You are the boss Q.
Started a new job on monday and my only source of internet is stealing it from mcdonalds on my phone for now. Should be able to post more next week... These jave been some wordy posts and it's hard to keep up
You know, since you haven't talked all that much, why don't you tell me what you think of all the shenanigans that has gone down thus far?
What do you think of the two current voters, me and Deceptive? Do you think the avenue we are taking and the people we are picking on now are fair game? DO you think the ruleset made by us (Mainly Deceptive) is good to suffice us for a while? Better yet, do you have any opinions as to who you might want to see lynched BESIDES Eido?
I would like to hear your thoughts on the matter.
Well I was somewhat sad that Mathgirl was all gambit. But we never know. The ruleset is fair and easy to understand, though a few possible adjustments (not many.) Maybe for my second would be Anacreon. I was thinking this before all the lynching because for some reason she seemed suspicious. But then I couldn't find a good way to say it without sounding like a dysfunctional clown so yeah. Then 3rd would be Mathgirl because of the gambit. 4th would be
That took a good 5 minutes. I hope your happy.
I see you wish for a reason. You see I am tired a lot and it takes me about 30 minutes to make a good paragraph. I don't need to waste 30 minutes unless its something important. I had suspicions on Eido with the post and I don't really know what to say unless looking God damn suspicious. You explained what I was thinking so yeah. And now I'm more suspicious. W/E. Also its deadline time.

Sorry guys, as it turns out exams have been slapping me in the face, and will probably continue to do so for the next few weeks. So I really don't have time for this. (Good luck though)
