Excuse me, but this is just blatantly scummy to me. I mean really, claim? You aren't supposed to claim in this gametype.

The only two reasons you'd have to claim would be if you were a PR and didn't want to die, or you were scum trying to hide yourself by claiming to be a town PR. Or if you meant as a voter, then you'd be directly breaking the rules by claiming and would likely be lynched as a result. Am I wrong?

If I'm not coherent right now, it's because of EXAMS. EXAMS are evil and annoying, but also really important.

I was about to post something really stupid, but then I realized that it was idiotic.

Everyone who's IVoting me: Why? Because to me, this looks like a wagon. I can understand Dragonpaul99's vote, but Eidolonic's whole reasoning is "do not like". That's not even proper english here. Foerumokaz has no reasoning. Pharas says "those reasons were dumb". Since when has dumb reasons, for an IVOTE no less, been a reason to jump on a bandwagon? Not town reasons, that's for sure.

I'd take a closer look at Foerumokaz. I don't have time to dig through the thread, though it is suspicious that Foerumokaz was fishing for my role, and jumped on me with no reasoning. This looks like Fishing and Bandwagoning, two scumslips.

On bandwagoning, excuse me if I am wrong again, but aren't we going by a democratic system of law? Meaning, the majority of votes dictates who gets Lynched and who stays alive. Because of this we need a majority consensus, so in a way isn't wagoning good if the majority can agree on it? I mean it can negatively influence someones vote sometimes sure, but for the voters, wouldn't it be better to have only 1 or 2 singled out targets instead of 5-6 marginally voted for divided reads?

Plus, these are IVs here. We are getting you to talk because you seem suspicious and we have no better leads.

Foerum, Vancho, and Anacreon all bother me.
Vancho seems to stand out most to me though, because what little reasoning they have provided isn't very good, IMO. Like, sure, Foerum did seem to be fishing, but at that point, Vancho had already said they were probably going to have to claim. Feels more like Vancho decided Foerum would be the best scapegoat around, and voted due to that?
Due to that, I'm going to IV: Vancho1 I would like to see more/better reasoning.
Anacreon and Foerum are still pretty high on my scumdar, and merit a closer look.
It's already been brought up, but I want to know what Ana thinks of the accusations that have been going their way; and I think I'd like to know who Foerums top scumreads are.

Not sure if I want to let Vancho to get away with his magic bag or not. I think I'm leaning towards kill it with fire though. Mislynching power roles is more okay in this setup than others? Like they are still power roles and bad to lynch but at least it doesn't effect overrun numbers. It limits our info but doesn't directly bring us closer to losing.

Real Vote Vancho because majority is on him. Actually, that's kind of funny. I'm being forced to bandwagon on the biggest wagon. I shouldn't find that funny, I'm such a big mafia nerd.

I think I'm going to do my reread of the thread now, do a reads post. Don't have much time until I am gone for the whole day though so I'll have to work fast. If I don't get it up within 2 hours expect it like 16 hours from now.

Baxbound, bandwagoning isn't always a good thing, though. It can have some pretty dire consequences, one of which is a mislynch (through hammering), and the other being scum hiding on the wagon. Sure, it gets the game places, but it has its side effects. Thankfully in this setup, we don't really have much of a mislynch problem, but there is still the problem of scum hiding, especially in a setup like this. We can't see what people who're lynched flip, and because of that we don't know if we're on the right track or not.
But yes, that is enough mechanics talk for now.

To clarify on why I don't like Vancho... Aside from the stuff I have already posted (see: readwall), that need to wave his magic bag around was a "wat" moment, and his reasoning is kind of iffy.

EBWOP: Vancho, if it wasn't clear: if claiming will somehow end up being pro-town you should do it now.

Scum is probably already going to kill you. The primary reason you shouldn't claim is no longer in effect, except to prevent Scum from knowing who they're killing.

Ultimately what it comes down to is whether you feel you need to love for two seconds until you get nightkilled, or whether you want Town to have the element of surprise.

Choose carefully.

I can't totally see why people are voting Anacreon, that's like, why claim nothing? Anyway, willing to assume the best there right now. I think the Vancho1 magic bag sounds somewhat genuine and not that scummy? I could change my mind on that I suppose. Foerum's bad plan combined with fishing for Vancho's role has shot him up to the top of my scum list, though:

Well, if anything I'm more confident in my imaginary vote than I was before. That was an incredibly weak defense. Saying that they have poor reasoning; because of the poor reasoning of the people voting them? I do not like that one bit.

And, I'm pretty sure we established that Foerum made a terrible decision, and I do still want to see a reaction to that. But, I don't think we stand much to gain from repeating how bad of a decision that was.

And if revealing your role would be a stupid idea, even though one of the first things you said was that you might do just that, then don't reveal.

You're at a point where it's not going to do any good to promise explanations later. Promises like that don't mean anything. I'd like to see these explanations.
