    Re: Postfia: D3: I'm Impressed

mm. boooooored. here's a readslist! Maybe I should go do some votal analysis.

    1. absolute "an actual bear" "beruru" Certainty - scumside of null.
    3. Fragowump - scummy.
    4. ~ATH - null.
    5. Crilly - null.
    6. seastormjt (was Paranoia) - townish.
    7. Mirdini - townish.
    9. dynamicEquilibrium - townish lean although the lack of everything lately maybe not so much.
    10. IntoxicatingStarlight - I keep going back and forth but lean townish here atm.
    12. Inoxfy - scummy null.
    13. Foerumokaz - lightly scummy.
    14. Pharas - town.
    18. feralFantom - probably town.
    19. Zatch - probably scum.
    20. rogue of void - townish.
    21. MisterVisceral - scum.
    22. Laset* - me.

With probably 6 scum, maybe 7 ... MV, Zatch, Foerum, Inox, Fragowump, ruru, and one of ath/crilly is a scumteam I could believe in right now.

mmm. votal analysis makes crilly look a little better, ~ATH look a bit worse, dynamicEquilibrium a /bit/ worse ... starlight slightly better although not if ath is town. ru and fragowump worse again.

oh hey I figured out what's up with the quirker. betcha they're a 3p; they win if everyone alive is quirked.

    Re: Postfia: D3: I'm Impressed

Okay fine I believe fF's claim but that does not make him town.

People need to realize that claims are not instant pro-town.

But whatever I guess he's started feeling better. I mean, when compared to rov. For rov, it's a grudge thing because that thing he tried to pull with me was what the hell and it feels like scum trying to pull me down with them but that's just stupid. But people are reading me as scum because of this, so > at you rov. > indeed. If you were town, you'd clear whatever you just did up. But you didn't because you're not town. rogue of void.

also I read through his posts and I didn't feel happy with his content so there.

Aaaaaanyways, yeah, I'd say Zatch is a minor annoyance at best, scum at worst. Beru, I've been feeling okay with but with scumru in mind, I suddenly don't. I don't like to rely on meta too much so uh null for now?

Huh. Actually, this makes Foe look better if he didn't know that aS would die. Or it could just be convenient for you that aS died during the night when he was supposed to be stuck in Masonchat. All in all, though, its not a good idea to announce who you're going to put in Masonchat beforehand, because that makes them a likely target for Mafias. Hm. How interesting. Not sure what to make of it right now.

However, if I can use my Night Action correctly, I think I may be able to prove my towniness by D3. InoxFy, I think you'll just have to talk it over with aS during D3.

Just want to say, but Inox, now that my claim as to who I was Masoning has been revealed, who was the scum that I was sending in the Masonchat; the town aS? Or you?

While the mob hadn't lynched scum yet, they felt pretty certain about this one. Who but a miscreant would lounge so relaxedly while life and death were on the line? Certainly, the victim yesterday had behaved similarly....but heck, he hadn't been so great himself, had he? And, well....there weren't quite so many people talking. It's always the quiet ones, right? And better to get rid of one of those than one of the people who actually kept discussion going. Well, whether or not that made any sense, here he was strung up anyways. He didn't make a fuss, but then he didn't really do much of anything.

Xaches Chazz hated being left out of the loop. Whenever information was getting passed around, he just had to be part of it. And there was nothing he loved more than being able to pass it on to someone else, too, just to show them that yes, he knew a secret. He was “in the know”. He “knew things”. Yep.
If you were wont to compare people to highschool stereotypes, he would have been that kid that desperately mimicked whatever seemed coolest at the time, and inserted himself into the popular crowd forcibly. Right now he was some bizarre chimera of Guido and business casual, like a bird in the midst of molting to another stage in its life. Xaches Chazz wasn’t even his real name, of course, but what it originally had been was one of the few things he actually kept secret. He was not exactly the most trustworthy confidant.
At the time the lynchings began, he was working at Posteco as an unpaid intern. Now, you might say that if he was actually working there he might be more attached to the company’s well-being, but honestly it is rather doubtful that Xaches Chazz would act in the interest of anyone but himself. He was so self-centered that he even stole and read people’s personal communications around the office, just to satisfy his desire for information. The conflict barely put a dent in his narcissistic view on life, or his personal habits.
Xaches Chazz was the MAIL STEALER. Each night or day he could attempt to steal a piece of mail from someone, but he could only do it once per cycle. He was a THIRD PARTY TELEPHONE GAME PLAYER, and would have won when he had been part of: 3 message chains with more than two participants, 2 chains of more than 4, or 1 chain of more than 6.

Well, heck. Another third party down. Not that the people gathered had all that much sympathy for someone so selfish as sit passively as slaughter happened, but this guy wasn't SO bad...well, at least he wasn't one of them.

    Re: Postfia: D4: Exile Vilify

When everyone got together in the morning, the first one they noticed gone was Sotek. With lower numbers, it was getting easier to see who was missing at a glance...but he had also been quite a presence over the last couple days. The assembly trudged disheartenedly up to his rooms, some of the more foolish ones telling each other that surely it was just a misunderstanding.
Well, whatever lies they had been spinning themselves, the corpse was unmistakably him as well as unmistakably dead.

‘Lucky’ Lukhan Bastian could tell you all sorts of things. Whether you actually wanted to hear them was a whole ‘nother question, of course. He had an uncanny knack for ferreting out the most absurd secrets. How he came upon them was a mystery. The way he put it, he just concentrated, and some snippet said in confidence would come to him.
It made Lucky rather hated when he was in school. He didn’t have any qualms about using something he found out for personal gain, and it was through fallout from one of his attempted blackmailings that he ended up working for Posteco. It was better than getting jailed, if only in certain ways.
Well, despite this unnatural sort of luck in one way, there was no guarantee that the info would be useful to him. Who was sleeping with who was a secret and all, but when employed by Posteco to find out trade secrets it was hardly relevant. Well, Lucky was still pretty damn good at blackmail, and secrets beget secrets. Despite this knack for the crime, he was firmly with Postfia in this little debacle. He would have joined the traitors if asked, but as things were he was stuck as an uninformed chump. Well…..perhaps not “uninformed” for long.
‘Lucky’ Lukhan Bastian was the EAVESDROPPER. Each night he could have overheard a random message sent during it. He is aligned with the POSTECO LOYALISTS (town) and wins when all threats to town are dead.

In the moment of silence, they notice that another fairly prominent figure, one Mister Visceral, has disappeared as well. Some are worried, but others are slightly hopeful over this. Being excited to come upon a fresh corpse is a bit unbecoming, but these are desperate times and desperate people.
Sure enough, he is slumped there on the floor of his room.

Gristle McThornbody found his name quite embarrassing. For one thing, it did not describe him very well. He was nebbish-looking, balding, and middle-aged. Altogether a wisp of a man. But you needed to make some sacrifices when hiding out from the police.
Gristle had always been a whiz with paperwork with bureacracy. It was as natural to him as breathing to take a dollar here, a dollar there, and end up with quite a nice Swiss bank account. Perhaps if it had been harder for him to do it, he might have been forced to take the time to consider the ethical ramifications. As it was, he was secretly one of the biggest white-collar criminals of all time. Of course, no good thing lasts forever, and he had to make his escape eventually.
Luckily for him, nearly everything in this world runs on the gears of filing and forms, and one of those things was the witness protection agency. He found a nice little closed case which he happily inserted his own narrative into, and assigned himself the new name of Gristle McThornbody, and the new job working at a corporation called “Posteco” in a different country. He could have just wiped himself off the database entirely, if he truly wanted, but it’s awfully hard to get things done if you don’t technically exist. Anyone in the new country who looked him up would quickly run up against a wall of “this is classified information”, which would put doubt to rest much better than finding a complete lack of information other than cursory details.
Of course, it is awfully hard to get rid of a habit. Even though Gristle had plenty of money, he found it hard to resist those fiscal figures. But he soon learned that Posteco often traded in a different kind of wealth, and before you could check a box on a form he was piling up all the little secrets his heart could desire. Now, money is nice and all, but it can’t get you everything you want. But with the thumbscrews on Posteco he could go into hiding in far more style than before. He would have more than just a few sheets of paper providing a cover story for him this time. But he wouldn’t be able to do it alone. Not that it would be hard to amass conspirators, as his heavy dabbling into the industry secrets and people’s financial situations made knowing who would be happy to help out an easy task. And with his unique abilities, he could hinder critical information-sharing. This was shaping up to be a walk in the park.

Gristle McThornbody was the CENSORER. Each night he could choose someone and make it so they could neither send nor receive messages. He is aligned with the BETRAYING BLACKMAILERS (scum), and wins when they number equal to or greater than the rest of the players.

The remaining players are jubilant at this discovery, and there may or may not have been some alcohol passed around between the celebrants. But they literally and figuratively sobered up in time, and began the now almost ritualistic daily event.
