but I've been blockedish two nights in a row or something? It's D4 and there are only three actions in the QT so I guess tilde just didn't do anything one of the nights. None of the letters have actually been delivered.

    .... by what exactly

we had the town jailerdoc flip and his targets were sotek and ???

and then MV flipped the messageblocking scum and he apparently targeted me, sotek, ??? (I guess N3 could've been ~ATH slot but why would scum messageblock the ~ATH slot).

    I meant only two actions
there's one less action in the QT than days, that is what I was trying to say.

    First of May DynamicEquilibrium
    Fourteenth of May Sotek

Well the Sotek would've been MV-blocked then, what flavor of block did you get when you tried to MESSAGIFY dE?

    Re: Postfia: N4: Just Desserts

    Final Day 4 Votals

    (1) Foerumokaz (Fragowump)
    (1) Crilly (Intoxicating Starlight)
    (2) ~ATH (Crilly, seastormjt)
    (6) Fragowump (Mirdini, absoluteCertainty, feralFantom, Foerumokaz, Pharas, dynamicEquilibrium)

abstaining: curiousCat, InoxFy, rogue of void

Despite the claims that had been made, the lynch mob certainly was not satisfied with this man. They ignored him, and used up the hours of daylight they had left in other pursuits, but he knew damn well they were coming for him come sunset.
He tried to escape. They seemed distracted enough, but what had up until a few seconds ago been a bunch of people sitting around quickly coalesced and grabbed him roughly. They dragged him to the noose, still not quite angry enough to use more undignified and violent means.
Luckily with that last gasp, and surrounded by a ring of stony faces, the fight went out of him. He reluctantly stepped up on the chair, and as soon as the noose was over his head that chair was kicked out. No sense wasting time, they had done that enough today.

Ed I. Tposte had always been a rather unsavory guy. Maybe his punny name had driven him over from normal plainness and into the uncanny valley of socialization. Maybe being raised by the kind of parents who would inflict such a moniker was what did it. There wouldn’t be such speculation if it was easier to pin down why exactly he made people feel so uncomfortable. The most anyone was ever able to say was that he….listened too intently. His gaze would lock on someone and you could almost feel each and every word they said being sucked irrevocably into the dark spiral of his inner ear.
And it was true. Ed never missed a word once he really concentrated on someone. This made him the perfect guy to gather blackmail material as a bargaining chip for his gang of comrades. For his part, he fully intended to get a law signed that would disallow people to name their children with jokes. This may seem like a silly thing to ask a communications company, but Posteco had a whole lot of clout, and a bill like this would be child’s play for them to get passed. Also, it was nice having a gang of people who would tolerate his presence.
Ed. I. Tposte was the CREEPER. Each night he could visit a person, and hear all messages they sent out during the night. He is aligned with the BETRAYING BLACKMAILERS (scum), and wins when they number equal to or greater than the rest of the players.

Relieved at another victory and worn out from the effort of the day's lynch, the assembled retire to their rooms.

Night will end in ~3 days, at 9 PM CT 5/25.

    Re: Postfia: D5: The Hounds

The gathered were once more both worried and hopeful to note two people missing during the day.
But first, there was the matter of a letter noted in Fragowump's possession. Everyone had been too tired to deliberate over what to do with it last night, but now that it was daytime they figured they had better decide who got to keep it. Democracy seemed like the best option, considering.

Anyways, back to the almost-certainly-stiffs. After a little deliberation on who to check up on first, they decided to go look for dynamicEquilibrium first, and then Pharas.
They found the former cooled to room temperature in a corner of his room. Not that they had really expected anything else.

Ramesses II was the reincarnation of a pharaoh. Well, at least he believed himself to be. He was rather nutty, even by Posteco standards. Still, he delivered letters.
He also believed a lot of things about his past life that weren’t exactly factual, and would definitely not be supported by any Egyptologist. For example, he considered himself to be the incarnation of the sun god, as well as the inventor of graffiti. Surprisingly enough, he was rather quiet about this and other beliefs of his in general, and really totally normal other than the fact that he wanted to re-conquer Egypt and rule it as the god-king of the Nile. I mean really, some people just shove their religion or lack of it in your face in your face. Ramesses was at least polite when speaking to heretics (which was literally everyone, seeing as most people no longer worshipped the Egyptian gods and those who did were new-age pagans that left out the very important animal sacrifice parts).
Considering his single-minded ambition, it is not hard to imagine that a skilled manipulator might have convinced him to join a certain coalition. The story he spun about how blackmailing Posteco would be in his interests was not really so incredible. After all, didn’t Posteco hold a lot of weight with the government? And wasn’t interfering in that area the popular thing to do nowadays? Ramesses II was certainly convinced.
Ramesses II was the GREATER DAY MAILER. Each day he could send one message to someone, with a limit of 80 words. They could reply with a similarly limited message. He is aligned with the BETRAYING BLACKMAILERS (scum), and wins when they number equal to or greater than the rest of the players.

Even if they weren't so successful at lynching up until recently, there at least seemed to be nocturnal forces that were cutting down scum's numbers.
Emboldened, they trooped on to Pharas' room, finding her similarly out of sorts (to be euphemistic about it).

Velvet Berentz had been many things in her long career at Posteco, but she had always been a gentlewoman. No matter the seediness of the job or the ethics actually involved, she conducted business while adhering to a rigid moral code.
The same sense of honor assured that Ms. Berentz would stay loyal to Posteco no matter the temptation. Selling out whenever you get a better offer is bad ethics, and furthermore, bad business sense. Even though she felt no especial warmth for the corporation, any betrayal would have reflected most badly on her family name.
It should be mentioned that despite Velvet’s profession she was hardly a black sheep of her family. In fact, she was carrying on quite a tradition. She was taught to fire with an old-school flintlock at the tender age of 13 (and despite the efficiency newer guns offered, she still preferred the old classics). The grandfather who showed her how to hit a man cleanly in the chest, with a neat double-tap to make doubly sure if the model allowed it, also instilled in her the tradition of asking her victim’s name and for their last words. She grew up courteous and calm, for Velvet Berentz was no desperate criminal, a half-mad convict with a gun, but a collected woman who was as comfortable working out a deal over dinner as dispatching someone who had gone back on one.
Of course, there were risks involved with taking time to let them grasp the situation. Guns could be pulled, emergency buttons could be pressed. But the element of surprise meant little to someone of Velvet’s caliber, who could afford to risk such ventures. After all, she was more than just a vigilante. She was a gentlewoman.
Velvet Berentz was the HONORABLE VIGILANTE. She could have killed one person each night. The victim would have been able to send her back a reply a maximum of 15 words. At this juncture, she may have chosen to go ahead with the kill or spare their life. She is aligned with the POSTECO LOYALISTS (town) and wins when all threats to town are dead.

Well...hmm. Perhaps they had better refrain from counting on things not diurnal in the future.
Speaking of which, it is time for some lynching to begin.

    LIVELIST:
    1. absolute "an actual bear" "beruru" Certainty
    2. rogue of void
    3. Foerumokaz
    4. curiousCat
    5. Crilly
    6. seastormjt (was Paranoia)
    7. Mirdini
    8. IntoxicatingStarlight
    9. feralFantom
    10. Inoxfy

With 10 alive it is 6 to hard lynch and 4 to soft lynch. Election is by plurality. Deadline is in ~5 days, at 11 PM 5/30 CT.

yes, and I got something else too 8ecause someone thinks they're fucking clever ::::|

nice thing is this quirk isn't exactly tough to do especially if I stay away from 8 sounds and emoticons (and I guess 8s)

anyway dE flipping scum is somewhat surprising since he messaged me yesterday with nothing more than "hi I'm the day reply-messenger" and I was like 'okay that's not that scummy of a role especially the way he's using it' and kept him in the townishlist (I assume that was also the REASONS sotek had with regards to him).

also got cat's rolething (as 8eru should 8e a8le to attest to) so feeling 8etter a8out her slot, enough to not want to lynch it

we have what like 50% of us in claimland, so someone's either lying or has a role that works for 8oth scum and town unless all of the remaining scum (2-3?) are in the five unclaimeds which isn't a stretch 8ut with dE having such an alignment-neutral role (and both the scum 'power' roles (RB/eavesdropper) down) I don't think the scum will have a lot of O8VIOUS SCUMPOWER roles left.

almost de8ating fullclaim8onanza time so we can get stuff sorted out, if not today we should pro8a8ly think a8out doing so tomorrow.

I know what IS is 8ecause she told me in masonchat (and she's pretty goddamn clear 8ecause of it) which leaves in unclaimed land... myself, RoV, InoxFy, seastormjt and 8eruru.

yesterday 3 people weren't voting at dayend - RoV, Inox and well cat 8ecause she replaced in. another 4 weren't on Fragowump.

... yeah okay I'm willing to see where a Vote: seastormjt takes us (8ecause the quirker o8viously didn't care if their targets were scum or town so my feels on her are revised 8ack down. And that ~ATHslotvote when the slot's probably town on revision and not jumping on Fragwagon despite h-2 and day 8eing pretty much over which yeah feels way too careful!scum not wanting to be on scum8uddy8us).

Hey dini I ahd a thought, what if the quicker is actually a 3rd party? I meant it shouldn't hurt the numbers that much right? Also if we lynch town again today(i hope to god we don't) then I think everyone needs to split up into groups and discuss things seperatly in Day 6.

Also I didn't vote because he was already in softlynch and I kinda didn't feel the need to at that point. As bad as that sounds.
