Karkat isn't actually angry all the time, IMO--he just speaks in this irritated monotone that makes his voice carry a lot, without actually being particularly angry.
All bluster and bark, with very little real anger.

ANDREW why are Dave's shoes colored differently on pg. 6231 and pg. 6247?
gogogo!
Once you pass that milestone, your next challenge will be to catch LE.
E: more than half the members of this forum have no posts. I've never understood the point of registering if you aren't going to post anything.
(I just noticed LE's join date is before the forums (and internet as we know it (yay for nested brackets!)) existed.)
I think it's a combination of spam bots and people who want to use the subscription feature (mostly spam bots though).
Also I definitely enjoy how given LE's ridiculous join date at epoch time, it actually gives him a reasonable post rate. Maybe I'll catch up to him a couple decades.
(I already bribed him to work for me with dino powers and big boobs though.)

They do similar things because they both have the same aspect. I doubt you could draw similarities between them if they had different aspects. Compare Dave and Jane, see how well that works.
Also, it's not necessarily what they do with their aspect, but rather why they use it.
Consider the following: BILL BILL BILL BILL BILL Dave was a knight of time, and he used his abilities to preserve the timeline and his friends. He used his abilities to protect people... Mostly.
Aradia was a Maid of Time. She alluded to serving a "master". Sorta like a maid does, sometimes. The implication there was that her actions were essentially to set up events in such a way that they would occur according to plan. In such a way that a maid often does.
Yeah. I don't agree with pairing maids and knights. Doesn't really seem like they are all that connected.
As for why I like Seer/Mage, well... Sollux was given insight into the future of the inevitably deceased. (paraphrased.) His class was Mage and his aspect was Doom. Of all of the psychic powers of the Trolls, that has to be the most title-relevant ability yet. I won't give examples of how Terezi used her abilities as a Seer, though. We are all very well aware of how she acted as a Seer.
Terezi chose to share the insight she (willingly) gained with her teammates, whilst Sollux kept all of the information he (unwillingly) gained from the voices to himself. I mean, he probably didn't hear anything useful, but that's not the point here.
Honestly, what else could you connect Mage to, given what we know about Sollux? Really.
Karkat is angry, but not frothing-at-the mouth.
What was scary is the fct that Dave is actually constantly losing his cool, at very low volume.
But uu is going to be...
It is to easy to say that he will be mostly a quiet Karkat. I like to imagine him as truly apathetic, but playing up anger. Then again, his most important trait is a love of horse porn.

I'm not trying to invalidate your theory about the Mage/Seer combo, but do you really want to hear that you're going to die from one guy several times? If it is visions, then it's the kind that sharing with his teammates would be rather counterproductive. That would also seem like a rather terrible burden, being stuck with visions of your demise that is unwise/you are unable to share. It can't be just as simple as the Seer counterpart can't share their visions.
I'm still holding onto Mage= Channel for Aspect/Servant of Aspect. It didn't necessarily have to be visions from Seer style powers. It could have just been the physical manifestation of how a Mage of Doom would act. But that leads us back to how would any other kind of Mage act.
I swear if we go back to the Ancestors, I better see a Mage of Hope or Void so I can get some better answers.

Maybe. I know that my time settings are GMT -5.
And I have absolutely no problem with being flat. Besides, I'm sixteen. I don't even know what can happen at that point.
Apparently it's different depending on your settings. Huh. The more you know.

You probably mean to say "thank god"
But looking at it from a male perspective... "thanks, god" is much more accurate in my opinion.
Well, I can't really argue with the second half of your post, aside from saying that it's wrong because I have a better idea. And that's hardly an argument at all. The only thing I can really say about it is that you have less evidence than I do to support that theory.
As for the first half... I am aware of the uselessness of his "protips from the future". That's not Sollux's fault, though. Sometimes, you just get screwed over. We wouldn't have a clue what Heirs do, if we only had Equius to judge it on. Same goes for Nepeta. Without the comparison to Thief, we wouldn't have any idea what Rogues do.
The point is that we didn't see enough of Sollux demonstrating his doom-related abilities. Perhaps he found a way to use them in a good way. Perhaps not. In the end, my idea still incorporates the only doom-related thing that Sollux has had.
I think Stormspirit meant that she was using the GMT system. Which is... sorta the same as virtually every timezone system. Hmm.
a good half of the time, karkat is too concerned with the well-being of his friends to be angry
yes, stormspirit is amused when men are unable to have sex. this also amuses me so.
i go to an all-boys school
