Shenanigans and obsidian are the two coolest words ever. Or they're up there at least.

Poppycock is also fun to say for some reason. And theodicy.

Keen, as in "I'm keen on you".

People need to start saying this again.

I looked through all two pages of the thread to make sure no one had already said these:

    Malarkey

    Pusillanimous

Toska (it's a Russian word but WE NEED IT IN ENGLISH)

Schadenfreude (oh look more foreign words)

Piddle (replace any synonym of 'urine' with this word and make your sentences funnier)

    Onomatopoetic

    Vestibular

Winningest. I didn't think it was actually a word at first, but the fact that my english teacher was the one who said it kinda proved otherwise.

    Tephra - volcanic ejecta

(Note to anybody planning to write a fantasy story - best female fire mage name ever)

ejecta is also a pretty cool word in its own right.

One of my favorite words is unique in that it has 4 sequential vowels.

    Queue.

And it's pronounced "Q", basically. Yeah. 4 sequential vowels, and they're all pretty much unnecessary.

Also, it's not a real word, but if people want to use it, that's cool with me. Try saying this out loud: "Swagnficent."

Phenomenon, mostly because I can't say it without immediately thinking of this.

I also can't say the word "fungus" without silently adding "amongus".

Edit: A bonus nonsense word from the series "reboot": abracawhatchamadabracallit.I dare you to say that out loud and not giggle a bit.

I can't say that I keep a list of awesome words around, but I can sort of feel the textures of words and some of them are very interesting. Some of the words I like include:
    Cusp
    Nit
    Lever
    Ocean
    Scoop
    Grape
    Tax
    Vested
    Lobe
    Pluck

    Best Words ever?
What about Arachnid (I'm only saying that because I found out about the Arachne myth in Greek Mythology and I liked it)?
Or Tartarus, as in Dark Tartarus (I need to lay off the Greek Myths).
    or my personal favorite:
    Epistemophobia- Fear of knowledge
    That's all I got.

I'm impartial to Neuschwanstein just because I think it's a really pretty castle.

Otherwise I've had Ziggurat on the brain lately.

This forum simply cannot handle that many letters in a row. Pfft.

What's funny is that it is longer than it needs to be. It was artificially bloated by adding more "big" synonyms.

    Therapists = sadists.

Gorn- it just has a nice woody quality, very much unlike the tinny 'Newspaper' or 'Litterbin'.

I just learned last week that "brouhaha" is a word. Like, an actual word with a definition and everything. So cool.

Otherwise I like anything with lots of "t" sounds. I like words with lots of sharp letters and hard vowels. Like tincture.

Quasihemidemisemiquaver: a musical note which lasts for one-hundred-twenty-eighth of a semibreve.

hmm? what's that spell check? the word doesn't exist? well, guess what? Add to dictionary!

I'm a fan of words in other languages which don't have an English equivalent~

Backpfeifengesicht (German): a face badly in need of a fist

Chantepleurer (French): singing at the same time as crying

Arigata-meiwaku (Japanese): an act someone does for you that you didn’t want to have them do and tried to avoid having them do, but they went ahead anyway, determined to do you a favour, and then things went wrong and caused you a lot of trouble, yet in the end social conventions required you to express gratitude
