Rhythm Heaven ponies are great... but Rhythm Heaven doesn't need improvement. The originals are amazing enough.

EDIT: Also, it's worth mentioning, my game that I'm working on will probably have 2-3 pony references. I thought of one GREAT one that is subtle, but also hilarious. Non-pony fans will not get it, but people who watched a lot of season 2 will...

I got it to work by opening the .swf file from Download in a separate window. It was pretty fun but I only got an OK.

So yeah, Zecora is just stupid in that comic. At the very least, you'd need to make sure nature doesn't get too out of control, otherwise Everfree would spread all over Equestria.

Seriously, though, I do tend to take the Niel Gaiman view of fanfiction in that it's a type of 'training wheel' for you to hone your skills before you begin writing your own pieces. And from what I can tell here, you may not need this training wheel much longer; you are already good at narration and characterization (although mostly in the tell aspect and exactly the show), and while the piece was a little bit 'tell not show'-ish it's general format made this acceptable (although you may want to catch this later if you can). The fact that you are warping Human-In-Equestia (i.e. Self-Insertion Fanfiction) tropes in the process is just a bonus, although you may want to think about how this setup effects your pieces.

Only other thing I'd do is go back and look for any grammatical or spelling errors. Otherwise, you've done a decent job so far and you have the potential to become an outstanding author someday.

...Did I give too much praise there? WE NEED MORE 'AREAS OF IMPROVEMENT' CRITICISM HERE I'M SORRY I CAN'T PROVIDE THAT.

See, this guy is actually supposed to be a human whose Witch-counter is the Element of Laughter (that is to say, his witch-hood evolved from a corruption, mentally, of comedy), so his spasms are the choking, failing sensation of schadenfreude-laughter. Generally, they happen when he cracks an offensive joke.
