>Remind the Prosapient that Aetan told him not to harm them.
Also, put your empty hands up to make it clear to Kale and the other Lowbrow that you're not a danger to them...
<Ram>: No! No, I know what they're talking about! These people - there're, like, two kinds of them. Ones down here and ones up there, around near the outside of the ship. Uppers and Lowers!>Ask them if they think we are contaminated!
<Ram>: They left their world because they thought something was taking over their bodies, or something. They don't trust the ones up there because they think they're probably all those things that were attacking them, disguised as people! They must think the same thing about us!
<Prosapient>: How do you know this?
<Ram>: Nevermind that! Kale! Hey! We're not ->Also, put your empty hands up to make it clear to Kale and the other Lowbrow that you're not a danger to them...
<Prosapient>: I'm not going to translate anything until you explain this in more detail.
<Ram>: Well, a guy before told me... It was, kind of... Wait. It was him! That guy!>Ask who the statue is of.
<Ram>: That guy is on the ship! He explained all this to me earlier!
<Prosapient>: When? Where?
<Ram>: Well, uh... Does that... really matter right now?
<Prosapient>: Perhaps not. Regardless, they believe we're their enemies. I must kill them.
<Ram>: No! Man! Didn't you tell the big diseased snake face guy you wouldn't do stuff like this? Look, there's got to be a way around this!>Remind the Prosapient that Aetan told him not to harm them.
I think this will be the most challenging problem you guys have encountered so far. I wonder what will happennnnnn???
>Tell the Prosapient to tell them you're not Uppers, you're from somewhere else entirely.
Also, the following may be a really good idea or a really, really bad idea:
>Tell the Prosapient to tell them you've met the statue guy.
>Just tell them you are from outside.<Ram>: Just tell them we're from outside the ship! We're not Uppers! We're Outers!>Tell the Prosapient to tell them you're not Uppers, you're from somewhere else entirely.
<Prosapient>: They already know this. We told them as soon as we arrived that we were from outside the ship. If they believe we're from this metaform race, as you claim, then no matter who we claim we are or where we're from, we could simply be lying to gain their trust. It would be a simple matter to take alien forms they don't recognize and claim the ship had crashed. That's what they're arguing over, right now.
<Ram>: Well... Damn! And they didn't even know the ship crashed. Kale said they were in here for years before they realized they weren't even underground - much less it was flying around. Guess the only way to prove it would be to take them outside. That way they could see -
<Prosapient>: Which they would be unwilling to do, yes.
<Ram>: What if we brought something from outside to -
<Prosapient>: I've already considered that option and several others. None are as expedient as ending this now and herding the citizens out by force. Further resistance is unlikely.
<Ram>: But -
<Prosapient>: Their logic is self-reinforcing. Anything we say can be construed as proof that we're their enemies. Unless you have any other relevant information you're withholding, I must ask you to discreetly take cover or leave. Do nothing to give away what I'm about to do.
The two Lowbrows continue arguing. The soldier gives Ram a moment to leave.
No hints here!
> Ram/Prosapient: Find a way to make a big enough hole in the ship so these ass-holes can see that you aren't lying.
Edit: Better yet
> Cat-lady: blow a hole in the ceiling to spite the nationals.

A heads up, but my video card has completely died, so I won't be able to update or do anything until probably Tuesday at the latest.
<Ram>: Just... No! What's wrong with you? What is wrong with you!?
The trooper ignores Ram. Calm, collected, emotionless. In between raising a gun and holding a blade to a hostage's throat, the soldier's equipment clicks, sounding a brief static.
<Ram>: You're not even trying to save these people! You're not giving them a chance!
It rattles off a series of military protocols, into what apparently is a radio built into its helmet. Failure to coerce, it says. Something on the other end continues this exchange.
<Ram>: You're not even trying anything! It's like you want to kill them! Try to convince them anyway! Blow a hole in the damned ship! Who cares! You should be doing everything you can!>blow a hole in the ceiling
<Ram>: We're not helpless! We're not helpless if we just try!
Priority target, potentially. Require assistance.
<Ram>: I bet if they were rich - if this was on TV, or something, you'd be tripping over yourself to help them! Nobody cares about us down here, do they? It's just a big damned party for you, coming down here, free poor people to kill, just for the fun of it! Just to - to -
<Ram>: I don't even know what the hell is going on! This damned ship and that thing in the elevator and her and these giants and - just tell me what you want! Is this some kind of test?>Where is the nice cat girl?
<Kale>: Su tei tureji ti ish sil.
Totally uncooperative, yes. You have one surface-level?
<Ram>: I can't hurt you or do a damned thing to you so do I just have to keep yelling!? Do I have to keep shouting in your face before you listen? How angry do I have to be!? Do I have to hit you, shoot you to get you to stop and just listen for one second and just - just - !
<Lowbrow Leader>: Ish tili! Su ki ti ish ti desini!
<Ram>: But you don't even care! You don't care! You don't even think! You're a machine! Just another cog keeping your fucking country running even if it kills everyone in it, because that's what you're trained to do, because that's what your bosses are paid to tell you to do!
<Ram>: People like you are why my sister -
Nei! Alai! Nei!
Before Jael can do anything, a voice screams past her from the other side of the room.> Actually who is still alive in that room? It could be decisive.
Whatever courage the old man had been mustering is gone, now.
<Kale>: Sei kayda ven tei ishnara.
<Jael>: Yeah... I get it.
<Kale>: 'Ram?' Vesh nei sein?> Lowbrows: Help the horned stranger; He tried to help you after all.
<Jael>: No, we're not... Ni tei? Sorry. I can't really... nevermind.
<Jael>: I did tell John I'd take care of him. Saves me the trouble, I guess. Annoying brat.> Such a pity.
> Is the little guy alive? Such a pity.<Jael>: We'd both be better off if...> Is the horn guy dead?
I may be moving the suggestion box from these forums at some point. Haven't really decided yet. I redesigned the site for those of you who haven't seen it: http://www.gauged.us
Mmm he's kinda resilient. Time to pop up a stabilizer shot.
The scavenger will be back at some point and things could get uneasy to explain, better take him to shelter.
PS: it could cut you from some reader. But it's quite understandable, can't say you got much support
The soldier is getting up: http://www.gauged.us/Images/Story/2012/0028/0308.jpg
Rip off the soldier's head, then carry the soldier's corpse and the kid out of here. Bring the head.
Once you get outside change into the soldier's gear, dispose of the corpse, and fireman-carry the kid away from this place. Screw what John meant; recruits don't count as witnesses.
<Jael>: Maybe... Shoulder? Is this it...?> Take a closer look at the wound. Where was he shot, exactly?
<Jael>: Blood pressure knocked him out... Looks like you'll live, idiot.> Stabalize Ram
> The soldier is getting up!
Like before, the soldier moves inumanly fast, but purposefully. He jukes from Jael and knifes Kale.
His goal was Kale's gun. The Prosapient throws the ordinary man like a rag doll. He lines a shot at the mourning father - the only other person with a high-powered rifle. Eliminating the major threats.
He doesn't know who the real threat is.> Rip off the solider's head.
<Jael>: Fuck!> He's kinda resilient.
Something in the soldier's armor strains, whirs. He's obviously in a lot of pain, but his strength suddenly increases. He's far stronger than a normal person.
But not strong enough.
All right. Maybe last update on these forums. I believe I'll be moving to TG Chan as my suggestion box, since more people are interested, and suggesters are saying they don't want to register here. (Don't blame them.) I'll let you know when I move. I'm not sure what to do about the thread here, as I really don't feel like updating it this way anymore. Reformatting the whole update just for the four or so people who really consistently read this thread (and not even the main site) is a real killer. I may pop in to mention updates, but probably not, as that'd be a little weird, having two suggestion boxes.
If you've got input on that, feel free. MSPA hasn't been anywhere near as active as I'd hoped, but it's done all right for getting me started out, I suppose.
Dammit, I love this thing, and hate the interface of imageboards.
Well, dang. Yeah, also not a fan of imageboards... but let us know when and where you move it, anyway, if you feel it necessary to do so.
Oh, and to give a command:
>Search the Prosapient to see if it has anything worth salvaging.
All right, peoples. Updated. No special formatted posts this time.
Moved my suggestion box. You can post without registering. If you were only interested as long as you could view it directly on this specific forum, welp...
