Act:
After tail-slapping the vulnerable hermit crab away from its destroyed hiding place, you scoop the small creature up with your mouth and "incapacitate" it with some powerful chewing. You deposit the combination of nutritious meat and rock in front of the other Eletus, not-so-subtly urging them to eat in order to regain their strength. They cautiously sniff at your gift for a bit, and reluctantly decide to give the crab-flesh a try. Your ally gulps down the clump of food with ease, and you gain nothing for sharing your potential meal. But at least your partner seems to appreciate the gesture as they've livened up a bit after eating. In fact, they even seem willing to help with your tedious assault on the relatively harmless and inanimate plants now!
The two of you get (back) to work; each of you takes a different Light-bulb and carefully cut them at the stems with your Dorsal-Blades. You move on to the next glowing plant, and the next after that... A tedious assault indeed, but at least your technique prevents any more injuries. Some time later you come to the Light-bulb that hides the final RHC in the area. Given how hungry you are after all this hard work, eating the crab is a no-brainer. You restore your belly and gain another 12 DNA Pts; not too shabby considering how much effort you've put into destroying these Light-bulbs.
Hours pass as the distant sun travels slowly across the sky and above the sea. You had planned to only cut down a few more plants after sharing that food, but it all seemed so easy with another helping you and... You got a little carried away. You and the other Eletus are now surrounded by a field of Light-bulb stalks; their caps litter the seafloor and all but the most recently severed have ceased their Starbud-like glowing. At least you actually managed to whip the damn things out... right? You're fairly sure that cutting off something's head is the best way to kill it, at least with creatures... Of course! You think to yourself, plants must work the same way! If they didn't, that would mean you just wasted a whole lot of time to accomplish absolutely nothing!

I vote for D, if you can, try to take a bite out of a light-bulb. It might be too fibrous, but it's worth a shot, especially since we just mistakenly sowed the field with a bunch of fertilizer. Otherwise, head to the land.
Another idea, perhaps not now, we should try turning the light-bulbs in to compost, which might be easier to eat, considering our largely geovorous nature.
D was a typo. I am actually voting for E.

A go to the shore, we need to get used to land
D, obviously something will happen if we wait.
E) Fill up on sand then mate with Eletus
Edit: Actually lets go with A

> Cold depths!
> Let's Acknowledge that the shore is more than fairly interesting.
Act:
Your work here is done, so you decide to take your patient companion out for a little terrestrial adventuring. The two of you make a short journey to the water's edge and slither out onto the damp sands of the nearest beach. The area is almost exactly as it was the first time you visited, which is pretty boring actually. A few Landfish can be sensed at varying distances, most of them feeding on some strong-smelling carrion, but that's just about the only thing remotely interesting in the immediate area as far as you can tell. However, there are a couple things worth noting that seem to be near your current location.
Coming from somewhere further inland, an unfamiliar scent is drifting down to the coast and into your waiting nostrils; it's really like nothing you've ever smelled before. In addition to that strangely enticing mystery-thing, at the very edge of your chemical detection's range you can just barely sense some kind of... thing, partially buried in the sand, but you are unable to detect any specific details at your current distance. The other Eletus seems particularly interested in the nearby Landfish, but you aren't so sure it would be wise to risk upsetting the territorial little critters for the sake of curiosity... Then again, if you can take down an angry Whiptail Shark then these things probably aren't a very big threat, even with their larger numbers and superior land-based mobility.

What do you do?
A) Venture away from the water to investigate the scent.
B) Slither across the coastline and examine the half-buried object.
C) Boldly approach the ravenous Landfish.

B go for the half buried object maybe it's a tasty discarded shell.
> Buried objects are always fun, and you could get some food while heading to it..
A scent? Go find it!
If it was a discarded shell, we could probably tell...
Which means it must be BETTER! B!
Half buried objects have been pretty good to us so far, so I'm also going to vote for B, with the addition of being cautious, and maybe avoid touching it if it doesn't look like a meteorite.
Might as well make a headway in this new landscape, so B it will be.
Examine the mysterious smell.
B
Buried objects ftw!
Act:
Still staying close to the water for now, you and the other Eletus slide along the sand towards the unknown object, each of you leaving a wavy trail as you whip your flexible tails to move forward. You briefly consider trying to eat while you crawl, but doing something like that would slow you down way too much! Maybe it might be worth trying, if you could float a short distance above the sand you were vacuuming up. But that's impossible unless you go back underwater! Better to just concentrate on getting to that partially buried thing for now.
Once you get closer, you discover that the object is surprisingly not an object after all, but rather a large pile of eggs all grouped together in a modest nest dug out of the sand! If this were the nest of a marine creature you would surely be able to identify the species, but these eggs are unlike anything in your genetic memory. Since you can't recognize them, it is probably safe to assume you've stumbled upon the unhatched brood of some land-dwelling beast.
Just when you are about to start weighing the pros and cons of lingering near the young of a creature who's eggs are bigger than your head, the sand in front of you suddenly explodes upward as something bursts from the ground! You reel back slightly, but quickly regain your composure when you discover the source of the outburst; a new species. The animal before you is long and slender; it would almost look like an Eletus if not for its distinct lack of fins, and also those puny limbs near the rear end of its body. It is a Cradle Snake, and it is here to devour this nest, one egg at a time.
Cradle Snakes are a carnivorous species of small reptiles that primarily feed on the eggs of other species, and they are distant relatives of the amphibious Landfish. These predators are skilled burrowers who are rarely seen except when feeding. Like their coastal brethren, they possess a pair of small legs, but these appendages are in the process of being evolved away in favor of a more streamlined form. Cradle Snakes have a few basic defenses against potential attackers, but their greatest defense is their ability to tunnel away when things get too hot to handle (and they always do.)
The serpent unhinges its jaw and begins swallowing one of the eggs whole! An impressive feat, considering that he is no larger than you in size. Apparently, the egg-eater doesn't notice you and your counterpart, or perhaps he simply does not view you as a threat just yet. Is this creature incredibly bold, or just plain stupid? Normally you would be pretty wary of a new lifeform, but this snake is way too busy stuffing his face to be dangerous! It's probably safe to just do whatever you want here, you think.
You have 86 DNA Pt(s)
What do you do?
A) Casually observe the Cradle Snake.
B) Attempt to eat an egg yourself.
C) Mercilessly attack the small serpent.
D) Disregard the nest and investigate that weird scent instead.

Disregard the snake if it can eat an egg whole whats stopping it from eating YOU whole?
