I don't think any of the Dark Selves are necessarily helping people here.

Louises is encouraging him to become more and more hostile and antisocial, instead of working with the group. Juliet's seemed to be trying to build her up and then tear her down... or just destroy her self-confidence. First she loses faith in the group, now she's losing faith in herself.

just because Louis' isn't directly insulting him (at the moment, we didn't see what happened before (also in shadow Louis' first line of dialogue he said something along the lines of "they said it lou / they said we failed" which seemed to unnerve Louis a bit)) doesn't mean it's doing what he wants
shadow Louis seems more...idlike/unrestrained...and I'm not so sure that's who Louis wants to be

Well remeber, the shadows aren't necessarily evil; they're the aspects of the subject that he/she/they are denying. So in Juliet's case she may know deep down that all these visions and predictions are vague at best and she's just trying to impose her own guesses and hunches as fact, but is in denial over it and being confronted with such a truth caused her to freak out.
