I've already looked into those. I'm not sure if any of the tracks would be good for BG music of something like this.

For example, I don't want anything that contains bits of Sburban Jungle if we have no SBURB, or Atomic Ebonpyre if we have no Dave.

IosBound has been updated!

Hopefully it loads properly. The loading screen is not much different, but the menu now includes THREE buttons that actually DO something! All they do is take you to a blank screen with a back button, but the the middle "play" button takes you a screen that includes Shmoo's looping music with a volume control!

File size is now almost 12MB, mainly because it has a converted .wav version of the music. Java doesn't support mp3 files.


EDIT: I don't know if the problem is mine, Java's, or DropBox's, but it doesn't seem to want to load right on its first try. You might want to give it an additional minute after the Java screen goes white. If that doesn't work, try hitting "reload."

when i return in later august, would any of you be interested in a viral game of rabbit doubt?? hosted by myself of course!! :3c
although i don't need answers right away seeing as it's quite awhile from now but i'd still like to see if there's some interest!! so i guess this is an interest check or whatever

for those who don't know what rabbit doubt is, here's a brief explanation!! (it's kind of like mafia, also)

so, rabbit doubt is an rp game based of the horror manga, doubt!

basically, your character will wake up in a dark room with all the other players. it will be a room in a locked up complex (in a viral game it would be the ship), and the object is to escape and survive! all players are considered "Rabbits" except for one, secretly selected by the Game Master. this is the Wolf, who will try to blend in with the Rabbits while killing them off, one by one. they can not let the Rabbits know they are the wolf!! for the Wolf to win, all Rabbits must die. for the Rabbits to win, they must find and kill the Wolf before they are all killed.

there's also some other things to know!! because a viral game would take place in the IOS, i'm just going to explain it by using the ship as our example. all the sections in the ship will be locked, usually. there can be an exception!! passcards will also not work. each door will now be equipped with a barcode scanner!! as you might've guessed, (usually) all characters are given a barcode somewhere on their body which is good for opening one door! once a door is opened by a barcode, it will only be able to be opened again by that barcode and will not accept any others. a barcode will generally work on any previously unopened door. the wolf will have a barcode that will be able to open all doors multiple times.

all characters will start off unequipped but it will be possible to find things that are weapons or can be used as weapons in other rooms.

an (edited) map of the ship showing which doors are locked, which doors (if any) are unlocked and which doors (if any) are wolf-accessible only will be provided before the game starts.

the game is a semi-controlled one, with the GM (me!!) having much involvement with things like describing environments, narration of wolf killings, rolling dice for things like attack or probability (i'll be rolling twenty sided dice!!), etc.

although this isn't exactly how the game will be played, a pretty good outline on how to play can be found here.

no two games are the same, and may contain a few unmentioned factors that may or may not be shared with the players pre-game!!

and yeah i think that covers most of it but if you guys have any questions about how it works i'd be happy to answer them!!

Some unfortunate news, everyone. BD has told me that she will probably have to drop out of Viral. Apparently she's having a really rough time right now and just doesn't have the time nor motivation for RPing. Viral will continue on uninterrupted though; we'll just have it so even though Viella is on the crew list, she was suddenly delayed/stranded/killed and couldn't arrive on time/at all.

She is the lucky one.

In other news, I will only be on intermittently from the 3rd to the 7th due to a camping trip. I won't be completely gone, we're near a city so I'll have wi-fi occasionally, but just know that if we pass the mark for a plot point feel free to just keep on going, and if you have any pressing questions post it in here so I can reply later.

Just to let everyone know, I'll be going out of state from tomorrow until Sunday. My log cabin has no dedicated internet service and cell coverage is spotty. I may be able to reach the forums, but I won't be around the IRC unless I bring my laptop to the library for wi-fi.
