Jade's Dream room has a staircase, which is kind of like a horizontal doorway. I made this exact same mistake, but I kept rolling with it, because it seems pretty inconsequential. Also, it's possible that this is just another effect of the whole "Dream room is impacted by real room" logic. Jade's room is designed to be architecturally similar (identical?) to her Dream room, so it's possible that, since there's a place for a hole in the ground in her real room, it was able to manifest itself in the Dream room.
