On Friday it will be my birthday the one-year anniversary of the Dinosaur Comics forum! Woo fun times! We should celebrate somehow!
Also I think this is the 100th thread in this forum? Not sure if that is also celebration-worthy or whether anyone cares since a lot of those 100 threads seem to have been started by spambots, but sometimes those turn into fun discussions anyway. Regardless I guess we are hitting MILESTONES ALL AROUND.
Hey, stop hitting those stones. You are just hurting your hand and you aren't going to get them to roll anyway! They are like a mile wide and sunk way into the ground; what did you think you were going to do!
"O God, I could be bounded in a nutshell and count myself a king of infinite space, were it not that I have bad dreams"
– Hamlet, Act II, Scene ii
"The yarns of seamen have a direct simplicity, the whole meaning of which lies within the shell of a cracked nut. But Marlow was not typical (if his propensity to spin yarns be excepted), and to him the meaning of an episode was not inside like a kernel but outside, enveloping the tale which brought it out only as a glow brings out a haze, in the likeness of one of these misty halos that sometimes are made visible by the spectral illumination of moonshine."
