Thats quite an interesting point. The order of entry isn't important, its the order of connection consider it this way Jane was the first to enter and the first to be connected to, Dirk was the second to be connected to, Roxy was the third to be connected to and jake the fourth in truth Dirk could enter last but it wouldn't matter to anything. Entry only changes the order of prototyping which makes since as in the trolls universe the red team started to enter but the blue team started to enter before the last of the red team did but kanaya was connected to by Equius who entered before she did.

TL;DR
Connection order and Entry order are completely seperate. Connection order sets the portal order, the grist given at the start, and the distance for moving the cursor.
Entry order sets the: Prototyping order.
In before Dirk isn't the next to enter.
At the moment Jane is Roxys server player but in the order Jake will be last so I may be wrong about connection setting portal order that may be entry order.
Connection Order: Jane-Dirk, Dirk-Jake, Roxy-Jane, Jake-Roxy. Entry:Jane-Dirk-Roxy-Jake.

Well, up till now I had the theory that Gamzee would prototype all dead Trolls, including Sollux twice for Jake. But now what with the Aradia parallels... I'm not sure anymore.
