Or we could go with the not-as-fun ball modus. When you want to retrieve the item, it comes out as a random sports ball along with any other equipment necessary, and you have to score a point with it.
For example, it comes out as a tennis ball. The Modus also summons up a court, two rackets, and an artificial intelligence to play against. You have to score a point against the AI to get your item.
Or, more simply, a basketball. The Modus merely summons up a hoop. All you have to do is get the ball into the hoop.

Also if your icon does not include a pony I will be saddened.

With the hat modus, can you turn the hat back into an item? Also, what happens if you captchalogue a hat?

This is starting to sound like The 500 Hats of Bartholomew Cubbins. You can captchalogue hats into more hats, and call it the patented Cubbins modus.

We could have a compromise: when you captchalogue an item, it becomes a hat. When you want the hat to become the item again, a ball and sports equipment fly out of the hat, preferably along with a boombox blasting sports jingles, and you must score a point. It's how Parale gets a lot of her exercise.

Who knows? Maybe she must play the sports against Dirk rather than an AI. Anything is possible in the world of Jeneta Gumbley.
