    It says you get the card, but it says nothing about playing it so I assume it goes to the hand. Unless another card specifically states otherwise you cannot give cards to your ally. I assume you can attach cards to your ally's monsters though.

    Next up I'll play this card.

    Since its effect doesn't say it functions instead of attacking I get to use it right away. She'll investigate Darwin thus causing it to take +1 damage whenever it is attacked. I'll follow up with two attacks from witness double trouble to deal a total of 4 damage!
