    Ryan North Appreciation Thread

I think that this forum deserves a thread dedicated to the appreciation of Ryan North, one of the most amazing writers/people to ever live. He draws Dinosaur Comics, as in the actual thing, and is the writer for the brilliant ADVENTURE TIME COMICS. This man has an amazing personality, and I think I might like DC's more than I like Homestuck or PS.

this man manages to capture the attention of many, with the EXACT SAME pictures every day, but different writing/dialogue. It takes an amazing writer to do that.

If you have any stories of Ryan North's amazingness, post them here.

The first time around, I read that as "dedicated to the appearance of Ryan North". And then I thought, yeah, that sounds about right.

One time, Ryan North fed 15 newborn puppies his lunch on 15 consecutive days, and then adopted them. And he helped an old lady cross the street on most of those days too. True story!

I'm pretty sure Ryan is involved with some other Wonderful Projects too, but I forget what they might be.

One time I drew some Dinosaur Comics fanart, and Ryan took the time to tweet at me to tell me he liked it. 8D

I like Ryan North's "voice" that he's developed, with the use of all-caps for emphasis, and the occasional question mark at the end of a sentence that's not a question, just an unsure statement? Sort of like this?
this signeture has been HIDEN, becuse it is large

I just found the novelization thing, and when I clicked a link related to a phone number in the book...

Benedict: so when DO i enter the following
Benedict: this isn't an image meme i found this is an actual thing that just happened to me
Benedict: i'm not sure who's trying to delay my phone number verification but SOMETHING'S UP
Benedict: can somebody swing by and make sure there isn't a rogue AI hanging about who's hell-bent on making sure i don't comment on Jennifer's grandma's phone number
Benedict: can somebody also tell me what is this AI's deal even, why does he care about this
Benedict: kind of a loser really
Benedict: can AIs be losers; i am going to go ahead and say YES

EDIT: Never mind, the mystery has been solved! It turns out the captcha software uses a very small database of pictures featuring common words and phrases, without any randomized distortion or obfuscation to speak of. You guys, I think the people responsible may have Missed The Point???

EDIT 2: Spambot Boogaloo: One of the images in the rotation reads "Spell this number: 3". Do... do you type "three", or do you type "Spell this number: 3" with the colon and... stuff? And can spambots even HAVE electric boogaloos?

these are questions that keep me up at night

Electric boogaloos are a reference to a thing. That is great.

I didn't know that electric boogaloos were a reference to anything besides what you put after the number 2 in a movie title because it sounds funny, until just now! I don't regret anything whatsoever, except for all the things I suddenly do.

I kinda type like this all the time??? Seriously, 90% of my typing is subconsciously done as T-Rex. And I am pretty friggin' okay with that!

I love Dinosaur Comics. It was my first ever webcomic, and from that I've discovered many more, including MSPA. I even named my username after one of the characters.
    Go Ryan North!

In Dinosaur Comics, it is Magic that is real?

    ?????

Or maybe it's just not believing in anything you can't see.

What a weird thing to say, Fish.

I have come to an inescapable conclusion today. I arrived at its door after reading today's comic comment:

    Ryan North, you devil!
You know, 'cause it's always the devil that tries to get T-Rex to play more video games...
    I have spoilers now?
    What's up with that?
