Well in that case, how about all the different grist types/underlings/quest factors/methods of ascension/pretty much everything related to Denizens?

Also, we NEED to see the Vast Croak in action before the comic's over. It has to be done.

As much that could be put into a weeks worth of exposition

Hussie could just take an entire week to write up all this S___b stuff, take 10 minutes to draw the panels and post the pages after a break

Hm. Well, that doesn't stop me from shipping her with Rose, so all is good.

Unless Rose is also not a homosexual.

I've been wanting to know all the different Grist types for SO LONG.

Grist is REALLY INTERESTING for some reason.

YOu would give up a ship over a thing like canon? I tip my hat to you, sir. I could never be that strong.

But really, most of that stuff aside from how Skaia works seems like it would not really effect the story that much? Like, you will never get to play the game. Why do you care?

You seemed to misspell something. Caught that for you. Because really. GRIST. Goes without saying it needs more screentime.

In summation, if Hussie ever makes a full Sburb game manual, I will take out a blank check, write "ALL OF MY MONEY" accross it, fly to a convention he's attending and personally hand it to him while wearing an expression of grim determination.

bonus points if the entire guide's written in the form of an issue of GameBro.

    *Affect :)

Why do we want to know anything? What is the point of ever trying to figure out how something works? What is the point of theoretical science? It's pretty much useless in the end.

If canon did not dictate my ships, then my rant for the last couple of pages would have been pointless.

I actually think it is exactly that. Or, a 'fetish', if you want to use Hussie's word for it.

    A) Spelling? Me? Hahshjkhawe;uiyhrnkv?

    B) Yeah, but hypothetical science is REAL-er than grist which WILL NEVER EXIST. Yup.

I only really care about the game when it Affects the story. Mostly because I hate games. Mostly because I suck at them.

    It's fun to pretend though.

Also, some of us just like worldbuilding. All the finicky, irrelevant details like grist types and S---b phernalia and how planet names are decided are oddly appealing.
ANDREW why are Dave's shoes colored differently on pg. 6231 and pg. 6247?

i find it extremely likely that after homestuck ends, hussie will put out a SBURB encyclopedia explaining a lot about the game that we previously did not know

    because, you know, money

Yes exactly. World building is like one of my favorite parts of every game I've ever owned.

Platformers always have such interesting levels :3

    Re: [S] Calliope: Exit

    I dunno.

The Harry Potter Encyclopedia never happened. I am still bitter over that.

I generally like world building. That was my favorite part of a lot of fantasy series I have read. I even like a lot of the world Building in Homestuck. But it is so spread out and confusing in places and I suck at this kind of stuff.

Has anyone put together a huge compilation of everything we know about Sburb and the world it creates. Preferably in the form of a bulleted list?

hussie has a lot of time on his hands if he does homestuck after all. maybe even know he's making notes about sburb so he can compile it into a book

maybe the book is done and will be announced soon

    maybe it's already on topatoco

You placed that link, convincing me it was a book. But I fell for your trap.

I should have seen this coming.....

I wonder if the secret project he was talking about would be an encyclopedia... I doubt it though.

Hussie has gone basically as big as a story can get, what with creating universes; what do you think his next story will be like? Do you think it will be drastically smaller-scaled, or are you hoping for more video game-esque complexities and grandeur?

I think that would be a common reaction to that. Now we only need him to do that.

    Re: [S] Calliope: Exit

    He talked about jumping genres.

I think he would at least take a little break from Homestuck. I have seen him say in interviews that he sometimes forgets things, which makes it seem unlikely that he takes very good notes.

Did you know that when Stephen King wrote the last Dark Tower book he had a person help him compile notes to explain everything that happened?

No, but, really, no giant list? Damm

Didn't he imply that it was going to be something different from what he's done already? This will be a completely different form of media. Or something just different in style. WE DO NOT KNOW.

    Also, this is adorable:

Well, Problem Sleuth began in a small room and ultimately progressed to stitching a universe together.
Homestuck began the same way and has expanded to fit four universes so far.

If Andrew's move to another medium doesn't compromise this style (it probably will), then we can expect at least 15 universes to be obliterated.
ANDREW why are Dave's shoes colored differently on pg. 6231 and pg. 6247?

First of all, I did that because I was having a hard time making it fit, second of all, I actually do that.

Whenever I type something like "LOL" or "OMG" it's usually condescending/ironic.
