Then use a better title. Like Mine. It is the best.

And maybe a different medium just means, not WEB comic. Or, different genre, like not fake-game genre.

Thats actually a tough question. As much as I love this whole video game universe story. I would also like to see some of what else Andrew is capable of. You know what I mean?

My title is the best because it is amusingly tautological.

What if Hussie's new medium was PORN
    I would laugh.
ANDREW why are Dave's shoes colored differently on pg. 6231 and pg. 6247?

Yeah, I know how you feel.

But then again, I feel as though the video game parodies is like one of the major attractions of MSPA in general. If he could find a way to include the same complexities and strange dynamics without the parodies that might do the trick.

I actually wouldn't be surprised if he managed to get a TV series/movie made. He definitely has the talent.

Unfortunately, Homestuck just isn't applicable in a medium such as television.
My tumblr. Also here is my art and music blog. Check 'em out, maybe?

Yeah, if Hussie ever gets super Mainstream popular, I am going to be the MOST annoying hipster about the whole thing.

    Ummm...

There are a bunch of things pointed at internet people from 13-21. A surprisingly huge demographic.

Aimed at people like that with a very specific sense of humor maybe. But, like, that is the demographic ALL "cool shows" are aimed at.

Then again, I kind of like being in a large but not super mainstream fandom. I feel like I have a chance to be heard with out being shouted over. Like, this is the perfect sized fandom.

After Homestuck Hussie really should revisit some of his older works and try them out in a new medium.

Basically what I'm trying to say is I want a film adaptation of And It Don't Stop.

You're right. It is the perfect size, and of the right reputation to work. People are friendly, creative and dedicated. Nothing that gets in the way of it's creativity or it's story. Fantastic.

Fuck yes! I would throw money at my cinemas to make sure they present it to the public.

It would be the greatest movie ever.

This fandom is really large and kind of mainstream, though.
It's just pocketed in such a way that most of the mainstream, drawing-and-shipping fans hang out in one area, while the people who like to discuss plot points in-depth hang out in another.

Also, most of the riffraff associated with mainstream fandoms don't make it through Act 1 because "it's just about a kid in his room".
They don't have a long enough attention span to power through it, which is a blessing. Keeps most of the trolls and txt spk kids away.

And everyone will be dressed as Eridan.

I do not mean the fandom is perfect.

What I mean is that I think Homestuck Is aimed at the sir of people who make up most of the consumers of mainstream content. But there is just one difference, and that is a willingness to appreciate a differ et kind of humor. If homestuck were actually ADVERTISED or something it Could be crazy ... Maybe one level below Harry Potter in terms of popularity.

But it is not. The only people who know of it are those who, errr, seek it ou in a way. if that makes any sense. And I think that is a great type of person.

Sure there are morons, but there is also you People. A much higher class of moron.

I have no idea what I am saying. I just really aperciate you guys is what I am Gettig at I think.

no most people are not 13-21 that is a well-established fact

i'm just saying that the real people hardly know anything about homestuck because it's really kind of out there. ever thought about how unusual homestuck is? now imagine you're like 30 years old when you first see this shit

That's happening. I will make it happen if necessary. I will get together the greatest film team some guy with limited money can put together. And if I get a hold of money for this, you don't even know.

Only up to 21? That's disappointing. Does this mean that in a few days when I turn twenty-two I will suddenly stop understanding Homestuck? No wonder we established some time ago that life ends at twenty-one.

I take your point, but if this kind of cultural difference were really so important then writers from before the 20th century wouldn't have nearly the cultural prominence they do. People are capable of reading stuff that they're not remotely in the target audience for if they feel they have a reason to.

As for what Hussie's next work will be like, this Formspring answer is probably relevant.

"It should be understood that competition in chess problems is not really between White and Black but between the composer and the hypothetical solver (just as in a first-rate work of fiction the real clash is not between the characters but between the author and the world), so that a great part of a problem's value is due to the number of 'tries' -- delusive opening moves, false scents, specious lines of play, astutely and lovingly prepared to lead the would-be solver astray." -Vladimir Nabokov (Speak, Memory)

Once again: the main reasons I think it doesn't appeal to most people in our age range are
    1) They don't have the attention span to give it enough of a chance to get rolling
    2) It's not in a format they're used to, so they have problems getting used to pesterlogs, clicking through the story, and the second-person format (which they don't even teach you about in high school anymore as far as I can tell, by the by).
    3) The humor is simultaneously...intellectual? enough that most kids won't bother trying to get it (computer programming jokes and metahumor), and crude enough that a lot of people on the older end of the range will be disgusted by it (Muppet SAW, Zoosmell Pooplord, Howie Mandel's gross monster piss) because they think that kind of humor is, well...crude, unfunny, and beneath them.

    Re: [S] Calliope: Exit

    Shipping time? Okay.
Starting with Vriska and Tavros. Either a) spending years alone with Vriska will teach him the true meaning of Hate and they will become the best of , or b) they'll realize that their personalities, abilities, and support requirements are pretty much perfectly complimentary and fall in . Either way the combination of those two working together intelligently will be so unstoppable that they break through paradox space and fall right back into the action.
At this point I'm fully in favor of Vriska John, partly because of adorableness and partly because it makes sense and there was definitely something between them before she died. (Though if her and Tavros end up in , John Vriska seems equally likely to me)
Terezi and Dave are certainly close, but to me it looks like simple friendship or maybe rather than anything concupiscent. It's hard to read Dave, but I think that they're both just trolling Karkat.
Karkat Terezi looks solid to me.
There's something going on between Rose and Kanaya, but I have no idea what. Hopefully this next intermission gives them more screen time.
I dunno about Jade, I don't wanna think about Gamzee.
WV + Serenity forever. ? ? No clue.

Post-Scratch kids are tougher. Dirk Jake is cute, but it seems a little doomed between Jake's apparent indifference and interest in Aranea and the fact that Jake is the only male that Dirk has had the opportunity to interact with his whole life. Dirk + anyone female seems to be shot down, but there are plenty more guys from him in other universes.
Roxy x Jake and Roxy x Dirk have both been pretty much shot down. Jane x Jake seems highly unlikely; he's even more ambivalent toward her than Dirk, and what she's got looks to me like a simple crush.
Cotton candy is hilarious and adorable; I have no idea whether it's even viable. Overall Roxy seems to be desperate for any human contact, and once she goes from post-apocalyptic earth to mid-apocalyptic game session her options will go from 'two guys who aren't interested and a girl who's crushing on somebody else' to 'the greatest heroes of three universes' and we'll see what happens.
Personally hoping for Roxy x Jade because it would be awesome (not just because it's the only non-incestuous option to fill that hole in the chart. Nope)

    Who's left...
Aradia Bec Noir and PM because she's the only one who'd survive getting between them and quadrant vacillation between those two would wipe out a large segment of reality.
Sollux... I honestly have no idea what's going on there.
    Karkat Karkat.

And just for the hell of it:
    Spades Slick Ms. Paint.
    Andrew Her Imperious Condescention

But in general I just track or try to predict the actual relationships between characters, rather than grabbing onto an OTP and denying canon for it.
