Back in the annals of time, a young but enthusiastic artist by the name of Andrew Hussie decided that he really liked rap. So, him and Tauhid Bondia got together and made:

Anyway, I was wondering the youtubes one day and realized, hey, is there a dub of this? Reasonable question to ask. Voice actors are crazy people, maybe they wanted to tackle this beast.

A quick cursory search established that no, it did not exist.

So you know what? I'm going to college. It's a time to experiment. Let's do this.

Voice auditions are now open until August 20th for: (Bolded characters have notes underneath the list)

General: Send all auditions to bonzibuddy151 [a] gmail.com, and please include an email, skype, msn, or something else where I can reliably contact you.

Rap auditions, supply your own beat. They're all over youtube. Make sure your mic quality is good and make sure that you're able to take direction. This is imperative.

After the first round of auditions, you will be called back for a second round if you made the cut.

Ice Cream Man: A younger white man. Seems stoic, but is passionate about what he does and is on a quest for vengance against stelth, who killed his father. Must be able to rap incredibly well. (Audition page: All of ice's rap here.)

Stelth: Big angry black dude. Bitter and cruel. Think evil Black Dynamite. Must be able to rap incredibly well. (Audition page: All of Stelth's rap here)

Fronty Bassdrive: Older man who's obnoxious and terrible at rapping. Doesn't have to be a good rapper. (Ideally I would like to perform this part myself, but I will leave it open to somebody who's better than me in an instant.) (Audition page: All of Fronty's rap here)

Mix-Pack: Relatively small part. Just be able to knock what bit of rap you have out of the park. (Audition page: All the rap here)

Flystrobe: Nerdy sounding guy who's decent at rapping but terrible at switching shades. Must be a decent rapper, and must be able to appropriately falter at the right parts while making it sound natural. (Audition page is All the rap here.))

Ice's Mom: Only lady. Sassy black woman who don't need no man or no exercise. She's bold and beautiful, and her son is a deadbeat. Kick some ass. You get one page. Make it the best you've ever made. (Audition page: All the black lady sass on this page.)

As for the other characters, just find lines for them that you like and record them. I'll distribute them accordingly, and if they're good enough, I may just use the audition lines.

I'm actually curious how the written raps will translate vocally. (We all know we've tried to rap a few lines of... [Oh god I was going to acronym, but the acronym for And It Don't Stop is AIDS.]... the comic, so it will be fun to see.)

Now when you say "we have our musicians", what exactly do you mean?
That those three are in charge of all of the voices?
That those three are in charge of the background beats?
That auditions are closed?

One week left to audition! I've gotten several Ice auditons, but only one Stelth and Ice's mom audition, and none for any of the other characters, so it's anybody's game at this point.

There was a similar project a while back - one thing I noticed that you didn't have was any sort of announcer; you know, "SHADE: DAIRY" etc. If this is an oversight, I may still have my old audition stuff from the last attempt for the announcer that might work.
