My little question: Do you know how to program in GML? Looking at the list of things expected from the first post, I think there are some things that would be a little complicated to do in Drag and Drop.
I'm better with other programming languages than with GML. I do know some, but since I'm working mostly offline, I don't really have the chance to look up terms that I don't know in GML. Obviously when my computer is fixed this will stop being a problem, and hopefully that will happen before I get to the complicated stuff. I also just remembered that the view in this demo is totally messed up, so I have to fix that as well.

Typing in color is frowned upon outside the roleplay threads, for the record.
Also your signature is too big, and will be auto-hidden. I'd recommend removing the Jane picture.

All that said, welcome to the forums.

Studio GM Studio doesn't want to compile the .gm81. This project seems really cool, and I'll be watching it (actually I have been for like a month but I never actually posted).

Hey, here's the actual exe. I haven't fixed the view because it looks different on every computer I've opened the game on, so I'm not sure exactly what I need to do. That's something that will be fixed in the next version.

The demo's very basic, but shows great promise! The walk cycle is a little wonky, but some tweaking and movement will flow really well! The menus aren't very intuitive, but again, there's always time for slight tweaking. All-in-all, as a pre-alpha build, I have high hopes for this project, GQ! You have my undying support/me checking this forum every now and then.

I just played the demo and I'm really looking forward to playing this game. If you need help creating some of the game mechanics, just let me know. I have a bunch of Ideas of how the "personality test" can work.

    good luck with the project

    I didn't see any menus.
    Where are they?

Hey could you guys let me know how the view looks in the most recent demo? On some computers the image looks stretched, and on others there are ugly black borders. I'm not sure how to make a view that looks okay universally, but it would be helpful to know which problems are the most common.

I can walk through walls in that demo.
    I mean, the boundary things.
so really I can walk onto the walls.

the boundaries only stop me when I am moving towards them and I hit them.
if I am stationary and then to move through it, it moves me forwards a bit and then stops.
if you repeat this you can go pretty much wherever.

Is this the same on the other computers you have tried this on?

    That shipping exists bothers me.

    I do that too.
I'm guessing it'll get worked out.
