    My Theory of Natural Patterns. Principles to Improve your life.

    I would've put this in the advice column, but the purpose of this thread is not to just give you advice on a specific subject, but rather a set of principles that will help one be more productive in life. I'm also expecting some debating.



    When trying to be more productive, ask not "what should I do?" but ask yourself "what should I not do?"
    You are already doing something every second of your life, what make you unproductive at what ever your goal is, is that you might be screwing up at something. So the key to productivity is not screwing up, and the key to happiness is productivity.

    By observing these natural patterns, you can avoid misforrtune.


    1. Never say to yourself, or even thing " I have a strong immune system. I never get sick." shortly after you get that thought you WILL get sick. I know this from experience.

    2. Always say to yourself " I have a weak immune system" and ironically, you won't get any illness. It works for me, it'll work for you.

    3. Never get to happy, or you'll forget something.

    4. Never get full of your self. The moment you become full f your self, and swollen with pride, every one will be better than you. For example, if you say " everyone here is weaker than me", then everyone will actually become stonger than you and will be able to kick your ass.

    This feels like a religion thread, which are explicitly banned, and for good reason. "My beliefs are right, your beliefs are wrong" arguments tend to have horrible consequences for everybody inside the blast radius, and your post happens to list a bunch of unsourced beliefs as though they're objective fact.

    Not its not religion, its just a set of things that occur in real life, and are hard to explain. For example, a few years ago I discoverd wearing hip hop clothes increases the chance I'll get in a fight, for no reason.

    I say that all the time and I never get sick.

    Worked for me. This one has a partial reason. When you think you're already strong (physically) you'll think that it is no longer important for you to exercise.

    I think the issue there is whether you exercise or not and how effectively you do so, not how much you think about your strength. I mean, a powerlifter objectively thinks and knows he's fucking strong, but he still exercises and gets stronger; a 95 pound 6'2 guy knows he's weak as hell but that doesn't mean he'll get any muscle if he doesn't change his habits.

    All of the things in the thread are nothing more than superstitions, and honestly, "real life operates like elementary school 'jynxes'" is not a good philosophy to live by.

    If you think your theory is right, doesn't that make it wrong? In fact, the more certain you are that it's right, the more wrong it would be! You obviously need to stop talking about it and start decrying it, viciously, as falsehood. Eventually it might shift all the way over to being objectively right!

    I believe I am weak, and that makes me stronger, but does believing that believing that I am weak makes me stronger makes me weaker or does believing that believing that believing that I am weak makes me stronger makes me weaker makes me stronger?
