Do they "Actually Exist" though? I don't remember them interacting with anything. The show Fringe does the exact same thing with making its title cards "persist" with the landscape, but you're still not meant to infer that there are literal floating letters in the scene.

Bec Noir was destroying Derse. He had just finished destroying the moon and had started on destroying the main planet (with some kind of green explosion thing). We then zoom into the center of Derse, where we see Aradia's dreamself, lying on her quest-crypt. As the flames engulf her, her dreamself (which up to this point was alive) is killed, causing her robot body to explode as her consciousness fuses with that of her dreamself.
