I mentioned in the Terezi thread that the old theory of "John rages at Vriska's death and seeks VENGENCE against Terezi" that used to be like, totally stupid, now seems slightly more likely if John remains as dickish as ever.

Oh right... Terezi killed Vriska. Forgot. sorta. that may lead to some complications / hilarity. But as for what's gonna happen in the next few updates I don't think that'll affect anything.

Considering how in the last Intermission John didn't even think Vriska would remember him, I doubt he's gonna be all "RAWR YOU KILLED MY PRECIOUS VRISKA DIE BITCH" when he finds out about the truth.

Also he's probably pretty open-minded about the idea of trolls killing each other after Vriska told him about Tavros.

Or John will simply slip off his tongue by noticing how fat Vriska is, and Tavros will agree. Vriska leaves them, starts a diet in the Dream Bubbles, and meets Meenah who's the incarnation of muscular, joins her army but turns in hairy!Vriska instead.

People, hairy!Vriska is so much better. She will start her shaving quest afterwards.

EDIT : @Qmark : Actually, John barely remembers what they talked about. If he ever take Alternian standarts in consideration again, he would probably rant against them, telling them they are counterproductive and trolls are idiots for following such a culture. The kind of instance he would half-brofist Karkat (except it allowed him to be an action guy where he found survival fascinating, not caring he was an outcast).

I actually don't disagree, in that I also believe John won't have any sort of violent reaction to this discovery.

But that being said, you're still wrong because your points of evidence are stupid. To start with John's entire one-sided discussion during the Intermission was pretty obvious in it's intention. You could pretty much flip everything and get to what he's really thinking, which is "OH MY GOD, WHAT IF THEY ALL FORGET ABOUT ME! AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH! NO, I CAN'T GET WORKED UP ABOUT THIS, I'LL NOT THINK ABOUT IT. LA LA LA LA LA!!! NOT THINKING ABOUT IT, WE'RE ALL FORGETTING ABOUT IT RIGHT NOW, HAHAHAHA".

John don't deal with stress too good.

And as for taking Vriska's death in stride? I doubt it, at least to the degree that you're talking about. He doesn't approve of Trolls killing Trolls, even if he does understand that it's a part of their culture. He might have taken the news that Vriska killed one of her, effectively nameless, friends pretty well, but that being said I very much doubt that he would take the news that someone else killed his Troll as well as that.

Hmm... As Mindfang was one of Doc Scratch's choice bitches, I'm pretty sure Lord English would fancy Vriska for doing a good job such as obeying his underling to the letter.

Actually, I'm starting to believe Terezi hiding her feelings is part of regret. As someone else said, Aranea tried to help Terezi feel better about killing Vriska, but it didn't really work all the way.

And earlier on in the story, when Terezi didn't believe that Vriska regretted crippling Tavros, she started getting upset saying that Terezi will one day understands how it is to do something she regrets but be unable to take it back.
I feel that is happening now.

I am pretty sure as well she doesn't regret it. Mostly because in her mind she is completely justified. She rationalizes it as being a troll thing. What she might regret though is that it more or less alienated her from her best friends.
But Doc Scratch's involvement makes it a bit more complicated. Her conversation with him after getting haunted by Aradia suggests that he was the one who wanted Tavros killed. Scratch simply counters that she wanted to kill him. I think that's true too. Though is she would have acted upon it without Scratch is up to debate. While she is a bitch, I think she genuinely enjoyed flarping with him, Terezi and Aradia. She played to win and she played hard but she never considered them spidermom fodder.
Back to Tavros and Vriska. I think the problem stems mostly because the relation is pretty fucked up. Vriska despises his weakness. And I think the reason for that is that she was never allowed to be nice or happy like that. She couldn't afford it. Once she was out of the cave and given her lusus, it was everyone else or her. And she didn't want to become food. So she lied. So she killed. And so she gained all the levels. ALL OF THEM. Meanwhile, Tavros got probably the mildest of lusus, doesn't give that much of a damn about leveling up and is generally too nice. She simply can't stand that. It must be utterly repulsive. So she genuinely hates him, though not in the black quadrant. It's not sexy hate. And then there is the whole serendipity aspect of Mindfang and Summoner's romance. She might have flushed feelings for him in that way and her roleplaying as a fairy might point to that as well. Except this is also messed up by her complete contempt for him. At least the summoner was badass as far as we know. So part of her plan in a sense is to make him badass enough for her feelings to make sense. She makes her own man. Except it doesn't work so well. When he had the chance to show that he was stronger, he pussied out. When he did confront her, it was to take her down. That must have pissed her off a lot and so she killed him. She could have easily disarmed him. It's not like he had any chance against her. But she believed that she wanted to kill him at that moment. It's only after the facts that it didn't rest well with her and she started to feel that weird sensation called regret.

I guess you could argue that Vriska is the best character in Homestuck? It depends on what you mean by best. I think you could probably come up with criteria that would make Vriska the best, but I don't think you can possibly say that she's clearly the 'best.'

I think you've nailed the Vriska/Tavros relationship perfectly with that. I would extend that further, and say that those are all the same reasons why she works well with John. At first, she treats him the same way: as a guy to build into someone sufficiently badass for her needs. With Tavros, it was with romance in mind, but ultimately didn't pan out because he resisted her efforts, being adamantly passive. With John, it's the exact opposite. She builds John up so she could become the hero, and to one-up Terezi. But then, John is responsive to her aid; he grows so much, so quickly, that he ends up growing on her. And unlike anyone else, who either writes her off with a BLUH BLUH Stupid Bitch or is terrified of her and runs away, John appreciates her for who she is, and is entirely unafraid to call her out or sass her back. Vriska was surrounded her entire life by people who were, in her eyes, either weak and therefore unworthy, or too snobby and self-righteous to care. The closest she had to an equal was probably Terezi, during their Flarping days as the Scourge Sisters, until their big vengence-fueled falling out. John is the only one who is nice enough to accept her for who she is, and see through the cold killer mask she wears and notice when she's actually trying to do something positive, see the good intentions at the back, while at the same time being strong enough for Vriska to respect as an equal, rather than use as a pawn.

And everything that John is, is what Vriska has always wanted. He is living proof that someone can be strong, and powerful, and still be happy; that caring does not equal weak, that mercy does not equal failure. When Vriska killed Tavros, that was the instinct of her upbringing talking; it was kill or be killed, even though she knew Tavros never stood a chance. In the heat of the moment, she went with everything she was ever taught by Spidermom; fight and win for your own survival. She feels regret afterward, because John's existence is beginning to show her an alternative that is completely counter to the world she grew up in; that maybe, being merciful and kind can be a good thing. And that's why she wants so badly to beat Jack. Doing so would allow them all to meet, would allow Vriska to reach the life she so desperately wanted, but never had because of Spidermom. That is why she falls for John, and goes so far as to suggest that she might like to be human and go on a d8 with him, because his way of life is what she's always wished she could be. Does this alone a solid relationship make? Perhaps not. But it's the closest shot Vriska has ever had to a healthy one, and the best chance she's had thus far of actually being happy.

And people say us JohnVris shippers are all irrational and crazy =P

I just thought of something. What if Vriska found the Quarantine threads?

She'd first think "Yeah! I'm the best! I have ALL THE FANS!", but then she'd read all of our theories. Some of them make her really mad, some of them make her sad, and some of them strike so close to home that she just stares at the screen, feeling kinda nervous and anxious inside. She wonders if she's that easy to read, and if she's weak or too kind. Then she finds the people who work hard to justify her actions and say that her inner feeling don't make her weak, and she realizes that there's nothing wrong with how she feels. She puts away some of her mask, and now she acts a bit more like herself. We just changed her life.

Then she finds the link to the source of all the fat jokes and goes to kill dreambubble!Hussie.
