GODHOOD X [OOC thread] - SIGNUPS CLOSED

    Godhood IRC: [link]

The realm of Gods is vast. Universes, like bubbles, floating through multiplicative dimensions and realities. Flows and clusters, beyond mortal comprehension, blossom and glow. The domains of successful gods, many dominated universes, stretching like spiders through the multiverse's void. The endless numbers of smaller universes in the outer reaches, the home of but a few stars, where gods new and old go to make their mark on creation.

It's an old story, but one that just keeps being told.

Welcome to the tenth(!!) godhood game on the MSPA forums, not counting spinoffs and experimental games. This game series has had periods of high and low popularity, but always seems to come back. Like it's doing now!

Quote Originally Posted by Godhood V

For those not familiar with the gameplay, every player will create a God, as their character. Their god will be exactly that - divine, all-seeing, and very powerful. Gods will have control over spheres of influence (elements such as water, or perhaps something more specific or abstract). However, their capacity is limited by their power, which is handily measured in units called Acts.

Acts can be gained by things existing in the universe that fall within the spheres of your God. For example, a God of plants would gain acts from a huge jungle, whereas a God of headaches would not. However, there is a second method of gaining power; worshipers. Anyone with a sapient race that acknowledges their existence will get some acts from them, while dedicated lifetime worshipers would grant even more acts. Additionally, there may be universal occurrences that deal out acts; for example, at the start of the game, everyone will get extra acts from the cosmic energy left over from the beginning of the universe.

Acts are spent on...well, godly acts. You could from planets, spawn and manipulate plants and animals, bless a race with intelligence or create legendary artifacts or heroes. It's all up to you, really. For the costs, basically use your common sense. Although I will provide some examples (see below), you will probably need to decide on most things yourself. Or you could ask me, I guess. Fear not, if you miscalculate I will simply adjust your creation to suit the amount of acts you spent on it.

You will gain new acts every turn, which will stockpile with your acts from last turn. In addition, some things may happen by themselves over the course of the turn, including evolution (which is slow and unpredictable, and should not be relied on to advance your creations - this is a game about Gods, after all, not natural selection) and random occurrences that could be beneficial or harmful.
Gods can move in and out of the universe if another player wants to join or someone forgets about the game ('fades out') or voluntarily leaves. Pre-existing creations will be, of course, persistent, regardless of who enters or leaves the universe.

One thing I will be changing is introducing an intermediary step between stuff happening in the universe and act gain, a point value called 'power'. This is so that stuff can still benefit your sphere if it's not powerful enough to grant you a full act, and later-game high act gains are more balanced as it takes more and more 'power' to increase your income by another act if your act gain is already high. This doesn't affect the players much and can be ignored, it's just balancing to improve gameplay.

I'll also be trying to get the gods interacting with each other, so be prepared to do your share of RPing as your god.

And without further ado, let's go straight to Signups:

Name: Your god's name, or at least how the other gods will refer to them.
Appearance: To other Gods. Most Gods should be able to change this however they want for free, though other Gods will still inherently recognize them of course. Mortals may not.
Spheres: Pick three, this is where your god gains power. Generalized spheres (eg life, plants, elements) tend to get less value per object than specialized spheres (eg individual professions such as policemen or cobblers). This is to account for them having many, many more sources of power.
Info: Optional stuff about your God. Will probably help me decide who gets in if I get a lot of apps.

    Re: GODHOOD X [OOC thread]

    Name: Ñyoche
Appearance: There's something to be said about that which is unknown. The thing that inflicts the most fear is what your mind can't comprehend, the blanks filled by ones mind.

Ñyoche is covered in darkness. From his head down, there is a cloak of black, that makes one wonder, what he hides behind his veil. The only thing that can not be hidden by his blackness, is his teeth, a shiny and sharp set that may or may not be attached to a face. It is said that he has many arms, some with claws, some with wrinkly fingers, some made of the most disgusting things imaginable. No one knows anything about him from the waist down, maybe even himself.

Spheres: The supernatural things, to be divided into Dark Majick (Mostly those involving sacrifice or harming another), Changed Creatures (Vampires, Weresharks, Undead), and Urban Myths (Have you heard about the spooky mansion???)

Info: The supernatural is the unknown. Things that in the eyes of a normal, learned human, seem impossible, or contrary to the way that their world works. It is the spooky things under your bed, bred by the underlying fear that yes, something is out there, and yes, it wants you. Which is not to say that it is malicious, just that the supernatural is defined by what one does not know, which is commonly misappropriated to what one fears.

Ñyoche, despite his mysterious and dark appearance, is not evil. He is irrational, nosy, and unhinged, but his desire is not to rule nor just to wreak havoc. He has a goal, something he wants, that he can't get alone. He wants the supernatural, that which can not be explained by the normal, to become the status quo.

To that end, he will make deals that put him under another, he will act as if he has given up everything, he will even commit the most heinous of acts, all to turn the world into one where the supernatural reigns as the norm.

And what if he completed that task, you ask? Would he rule such a world or change his goals to now destroy it? No one knows, least of all Ñyoche himself.

    Re: GODHOOD X [OOC thread]

Name: Hrog, usually referred to as The Smith

Appearance to other Gods: A stout, aged, whiskered, soot-colored dragon with stunted wings. The smith appears clad in armor and carrying a mighty hammer in one hand. In the other, he carries a piece of living metal, which changes form to reflect his current mood. Whatever form it takes is always of the greatest artistry.

Sphere one; The Forge: Includes hot coals, lava and other glowing things. Does not include fire and stellar fusion, as these reactions are too volatile.

Sphere two; Smiths: Any crafting profession that works with hot metal.

Sphere three; Metal Artifacts: Art, tools, weapons and armor predominantly made of metals; their creation, repair and use.

    Info:
The Smith makes and repairs the weapons and armor of the other gods. A God with damaged equipment is likely to have recently disturbed the balance of the world, and thus disturbed the Smith's forge as well.

The Smith is very exacting, mandating a carefully balanced life between combat, artistry and hard labor from his worshippers. His priests are required to labor beside the people to stoke the forges of life. Volcanic eruptions are caused when the balance of the world's forge is upset. If the Smith's commands are followed and his worshippers are pious, this will not happen.

When all is in proper balance, the Smith rewards his followers by leading them to deposits of valuable metals and creating awe inspiring works of living metal. A particularly pious priest might find themselves fused with living metal, granting them great strength and fortitude against the blows of an enemy or the heat of a fire.

    Re: GODHOOD X [OOC thread]

    You know what, why not.

    Name: Florence

Appearance: A kindly old santa-claus looking man.

    Spheres:
    1) Ice Cream
    2) Fire
    3) Commerce

Info: Despite his pleasant appearance, Florence is a very manipulative being, using his influence over commerce, fire and ice cream to
Mould salient civilisations to his own agenda. Known to instigate wars and start forest fires to spread his influence, he also infiltrates the economy of any such creatures, driving people to a dreaded ice cream addiction - yes, his ice creams are that damned tasty. Indeed, his intentions are to start wars over - of all things - ice cream, in order to cause strife and rivalry amongst any planet's occupants. After all, war is profitable, and liable to start fires. He is not a very peaceful guy, despite his exterior appearance and fondness of ice creams.

    Re: GODHOOD X [OOC thread]

    Name: Quaf
Appearance: Quaf has no set form, rather, it appears to be constantly shifting its form to some degree. Speed and coherence of change are dependent on Quaf's state.
    Spheres: Change, Inventors, Revolutionaries
    Info:

Things change. Nothing is absolute. Stagnation is death. These are the tenets of Quaf. While commonly thought of a god of chaos, Quaf is the patron of change and those who would bring it about. While its apparent goals never stay constant, they are always supported by this backbone ideal. To say that Quaf is of chaos would not be entirely untrue, as it has been known to favour chaos as a catalyst on multiple occasions. However, Quaf uses many different tools to perpetuate change, as its goal is not constant chaos, but true change.

    Re: GODHOOD X [OOC thread]

    Name: Kochac

Appearance: Feminine slim humanoid branded with the quote-marks of passion-unquote. Has claws and a tail of a rooster. Her face is hidden by her veil-like hair save for her eyes and the occasional flicker of a smile. Also speaks like a valley girl. Beware.

Spheres: Kochac is an eternal optimist - finding beauty in the grand chaos that is existence as she herself had came from the chthonic nothings of null-void. Creatio ex nihilo. Ex nihilo nihil fit her mantra speaks. As such, Kochac's primordial domains sink themselves in the realms of fortune and emotion.

Chaos: Serendipity. Happenstance. Coincidence. Although Kochac's realm of specialty in this sphere slot is the notion of luck and her twin misfortune, the entity finds amusement in defying expectations. Thus, her tendency is not "Chance" but rather "Chaos" because Luck is such a little bitch. Of course, it does not mean she is fully protected aganist the unintended consequences of this particular domain but what's fun about not participating in the wonderful mess that is life?

    Fate:
The opposite of Chaos is Fate. You may be wondering that why Kochac decided to oxymoronically tucker Fate along with Chaos. Well, here's the reason. She likes setting rules because rules are meant to be broken. No matter if the fate had been confirmed true or defied, it's fun either way. Also, it pisses a lot of other gods-slash-goddesses off, which is hilarious.

Emotion: We are all protagonists of our own stories. Sometimes life is an eternal struggle and we could not help but scream. Scream. Scream aganist the turbulent forces beyond our control. Is there really hope? Is it all just nothing? We cry. No one responds but sometimes. Sometimes, a veiled face smiles and pushes us in the right direction.

    Info:

Born of perfect equilibrium, Kochac's true origins remains unknown even to herself. She may be older or younger than she (or everyone) thinks, but who knows really. Needless to say, she finds her existence to be a great joy. For her, life is an infinitely impossible play on a stage in which everyone had the possibility to be the main character. She intends to play every single role there possibly may be. As such, she is histrionic and clownish. Shameless. Flippant. Carefree. Her attention-deprived, Dadaist tendencies may cause others to think of her as a vapid fool. However, be cautious: she is smarter than she lets on. Maybe.

Kochac is extrovertly friendly to others (which may be annoying to some) but her loyalties is transient. Her tendencies may be egalitarian but that does not mean she cannot be swayed. For instance, she especially favors those who take initiative. After all, fortune favors the bold.

    Re: GODHOOD X [OOC thread]

    Name: Alvah
Appearance: Has the appearance of a female human in moderately provocative red and black colored clothing. There are several chains attached to her clothes which look like they are just decoration and a spiked steel shoulderpad on her left shoulder and nothing on the right. There are two pairs of small black feathery wings on her back.
    Spheres: Misery, Desire, Poison
Bio: Alvah was created 4 Aeons ago by a group of higher gods known as the Gentlemen, to compete against other lesser gods because the gentlemen gods got bored. When the universe itself was compromised by the actions of even higher gods Alvah made her escape into the multiverse and is now your problem! Alvah is sadistic, cunning and unremorseful. The only thing that brings joy to Alvah is to take the joy away from others!

Alvah has a twin brother by the name of Leneus, whose fate is unknown at this present moment in time.

    Re: GODHOOD X [OOC thread]

    Name: Arahkamor

Appearance: Like a wizened, old king. He has bark-like skin, a mossy beard, a tall wooden crown, and a cloak of dead leaves with many things growing from it. All about his wiry figure are crawling vines, some in bloom and others reaching out into the universe when his hands do not. A haze of spores and pollen follows him wherever he goes.

    Spheres: Fungi, Growth, and Hallucinations.

Info: Arahkamor abhors empty spaces, prefering something moving and ever growing to fill that empty space. He is often ambivilant as to what fills the space, wether it is an animal roaming the desert, a plant filling the cracks of a rock, molten rocks spewing into space or even fevered dreams filling a mortal's mind. As such, he is seen as an uncaring god, indifferent to the plights of mortals. Truth is, he wants all mortals to flourish, but that includes their enemies. Fungi, however, hold a special place in Arahkamor's heart, due to their versitility and habit of forming where other life seems not to grow.

    Re: GODHOOD X [OOC thread]

    Name: Photh

Appearance: Looks like a broad shouldered man, but has a shield fused to his left forearm and a knight's helmet on his head. His attire consists of pants made of a strange material that looks like it's always in motion and a shirt that appears fairly normal. He also has a feather on his helmet and... did it just twitch?

    Spheres:
Rebellion: Involves showing truths to the oppressed and helping 'negotiate' (more like instigate) an unstable relationship between a government and it's victims Stamina: Pushing living beings to their limits. And then some.
Willpower: Inspiring mental strength and resistance.

Info: Photh is a firm believer in choice. When there is a war, he almost always chooses the side of the underdogs. He's also a loner. Not caring much for companionship, Photh rarely makes friends, and even when he does, he still tells them almost nothing about himself. But that doesn't mean he's rude. He respects everyone and everything, unless he sees something to change his mind. He's also quite stubborn. Get in his way and he WILL find a way to get around you. Immovable object? Meet unstoppable force.

    Re: GODHOOD X [OOC thread]

    Name: Rashphaton

Appearance: A Dark tall figure completely covered in many layers of torn robes. The only area not covered is a small space near the head uncovering the eyes. Has thin sharp legs for feet. Robes are mostly tattered rags, yet are worn versions of both commonplace clothes and regal clothes, equally shredded. Has a thin body, and seems to give off a VERY long and thin shadow.

    Spheres:

Poison: He has control over poison and both poison giving and receiving beasts. Has been known to grants boons of healing to those why deserve it.
The Desert: The endless sands and desert heat are his domain. He decides who survives in the desert, and is such a good judge of character.

Lost wanders: He maintains the luck of lost wanderers who stumble into these hopeless situations. He either guides those who have good intentions, or punishes the greedy and treacherous.

Info: He was created by sheer luck and bad planning. One man was a member of an ancient war, a never-ending cycle of stalemate. However, due some unforeseen factor, his side of the army was obliterated, and he was left only with the option of fleeing before being killed. Chasing him was the entire length of the army, all convinced he had the key to his armies treasure, which was locked with a magical lock. He however did not, and valued his own life more then any key at that very moment. He ran as far as he could, until he entered the treacherous badlands. After making his way well in, he realized his attackers has all stopped the chase, due to the known bandits and thieves that live in the area. He kept on going, until he found a nice rock for shade. He now realized he had no food, or water to his name. He slumped down in silence, fearful of what would become of him. He checked his pocket, and from some miracle, he managed to find a peculiar seed. He took this as a sign, and planted the seed in the open sun, and spat on the seed for water. Knowing of his doomed fate, he slumped down by the rock and smiled as he passed out of dehydration. upon waking in the morning, he found himself by the rock, sitting next to a days worth of food and water. The seed has now grown into a new plant, the cactus, and stood there protecting him from harm's way. Grateful, he stood him, and noticed the ragged clothed god sprint off in the distance, dropping but a single piece of orange fabric. Beyond that point Rashphaton started to spread across the desert, teaching people how to avoid the desert sun, find water, and stop poison. Occasionally he comes in the night to small desert villages and will leave behind other peculiar seeds, that grow massive and grand cacti.

    (Sound good?)

    Re: GODHOOD X [OOC thread]

    Name: Molesto the Killer Clown

Appearance: Has a roundabout appearance similar to IT. IT is a very scary clown in itself and Molesto will be modeled after him. But there are some tiny, but very important differences. Having the general appearance of Herb's face from family guy except with a whipped cream mustache. Plus he always seems to change colors while holding his eightball. "I wonder whose this is..."

Spheres: Evolution, Irony (including but not limited to ironic deaths) and Jappery.

Info: Alas, this story begins at the event of ITS Death. IT became a primordial being borned from the pits of hell where it met its fellow devils and servants. One of which was Lord English. Another being Herbert. Both have committed horrible acts of omnicide and... pedophilia? Nope, i think that's just Herb. Good Old Herb. You rip his face off and put it against your own, melding your flesh together as Herb starts mouthing (well he no longer has a mouth) off to you about coming into his windowless van with him. You grab the whipped cream he had in his hand (ripping his whole arm off in the process (i guess he had a strong attachment to that whipped cream)) and make a little mustache for yourself. By now Herb has fallen down, dead, yet still in hell. What a boring existence.

Lord English meanwhile tries to scamper off to the little Lucifer's room. You go in front of him, wondering where the devil he thinks he's going. You threaten him with your face. It is so damn ugly. He gets scared. He says if you'll leave him alone, he'll give you his eightball (he has EIGHT of them at all times ::::D ). You look at him like he's gone insane, which he in fact, has. You snatch it from his trembling hand. You tell him to go away now. "Th-th-thanks, i have s-s-some kids to massacre anyway".
"Ooh! Can i come?" You say with a smile. The most horrific smile in the universe, that is. He says, reluctantly, "N-NO! This is MY mission! I already have too much trouble containing Calliope inside my mind as it is!". "Okay, okay! Take a mOtHeRfUcKinG chill pill, bRo." you say.

You find a wonderfully comfortable bed, with clown nose bedsheets. It's like a dream come true. It's like the sleep you never had. You scream in joy, breaking the universe's eardrum in the process. It is fucking scared of you. Happy? You freaking clown? "No" it says. It lies down on the bed and begins snoring. The universe lets out a big "Phew!" and decides to transport IT to pocket dimension where IT can't bother anybody. Or won't it?. Whatever the case, Gamzee decides to come out of nowhere and give him some miracles first. Which is to say, kill him by clubbing him over and over. Little did he know that this was his quest bed. Shit Just Got Real.

And now here he is. Floating in some void, wielding God powers he didn't even know he gained. He sees some other people with strange auras about them. You wave hi, smiling. The look at you and their heads instantly explode due to the general frightening appearance about you. And your name. Nobody doesn't know your name here. You are Molesto.

    Re: GODHOOD X [OOC thread]

This seems interesting. I might as well apply.

Name: Salmuth, or Sal the Shadow

    Appearance:

    Spheres: The Spheres of:
Shadows, as in the darkness that hides things not malevolent, but secretive.
Rouges, as in those whose questional "jobs" are done in secret and darkness with daggers and wordplay.
Luck, as in that undefinable force that helps you in a variety of ways, from saving your live to saving your betting money.

Info: Sal the Shadow favores those who can penitrate incredible defences, do whatever it is their "work" entails, and can slip back out without being detected. Those who are easily caught, or turn on their fellow rouges, will find little in the way of pity from Salmuth.

You can usually tell what Salmuth's apparent mood is by his smile, when you can see it, and the tone of his voice. When he's not smiling, something extreamly serious is going on, or he's very, very, very mad.

Edit: for format and more description.

    Re: GODHOOD X [OOC thread]

Name: Avaach, God of the Symphony.

Appearance: A human man, bent with age and stress. His face, partially hidden behind a mass of unruly hair protruding from beneath the broad rim of a top hat, is strong and hard, appearing as if it could be chiseled out of marble. His eyes burn with a golden fire, the memory of a star, forever lost to the void of space. His chin is hidden behind a large beard, a strong black with streaks of gray. He wears a long, flowing coat, black with golden highlights. The coattail fades away, becoming shimmering particles of dust that flow out into the universe. Underneath this, his body is swathed in a simple pair of black trousers, and a black vest. In his left hand, he grips a violin. In his right, a bow.

Sphere 1: Music, of all kinds. Be it a complex weave of skills and talent, or a simplistic beat.
Sphere 2: Song, either for fun or profit, it will benefit their God.
Sphere 3: Dance. Ritualistic jigs, or even the slightest tapping of ones heel.

Info: Avaach is a wise figure, who carries with him the weight of thousands of planets he has left behind. He is a generally benign leader, only performing acts of pure rage when music is perverted into computerized sounds and pitch correction. Other than those moments, which last no longer than a beat, he acts for the best of all creatures, be them of his own creations, or the devices of other gods. The only begrudging memory that weighs heavily on his shoulders is that of a star lost, a construct of pure beauty that he, in a fit of anger, cast into an eternal hell of silence and darkness. Avaach has since then been traveling, heading to greener pastures, playing his great violin along the way. His song was one of creation, creating new, budding planets as he traveled through the void. Like a trail of breadcrumbs, he left these constructs, as he felt that if the memory of his home faded from memory, it would fade from reality.

    Re: GODHOOD X [OOC thread]

    Name: Huudo
Appearance: Huudo takes the form most often of a bulky humanoid made of clear, blue water, resolving to a constantly-flowing cascade below the waist. He rarely bothers to assume more of a face than vague eye-dimples and a nose, and in fact is largely featureless all around. Obviously, as a fluid, his appearance is even more mutable than many other gods', but he tends to stick to the same basic theme most of the time.

I doodled this while deciding on my god, so I guess I'll include it:

    Spheres:
    • Freshwater:Though his preferred shrine is a spring, Huudo has dominion over all potable water, be it a rushing river, a calm lake, or a secret aquifer.
    • Fishers: Huudo's favored worshipers are those beings that choose to center their life around harvesting the bounty of the world's waterways. He teaches a creed of moderation and growth, ensuring that his children take only what they need and strive to maintain balance lest they face his wrath.
    • Health: Health, purity, and cleansing are all associated with The Eternal Spring, and even non-worshipers are frequently heard taking his name or hoping for his blessing in times of sickness or curse.

Info: Huudo is a quiet, contemplative deity, neither exacting in his demands for worship nor prone to needless power struggles with other gods. He strives to maintain the natural balances that exist within his domains, and despite his calm demeanor will actively combat affronts to what he considers his. Ultimately, he wishes to see his followers carve out their civilizations as a river carves out a valley.

While he attempts to interfere as little as necessary with the world of mortals, he is greatly attached to his children – the fish and birds of his streams as much as the men who pray to him – and will abandon his preference for gentle, gradual change and noninterference if he feels they are threatened.

He tries to maintain good relationships and even friendships with other gods, but often finds their megalomania or hurry distasteful.

    Re: GODHOOD X [OOC thread]

    Name: Victus

Appearance: None care to see the form of the pariah god, and even fewer can stand the sheer repulsion of his domain. Some say his true form is the cumulative garbage of all beings, others believe him to be the dark enmity of corruption itself. Those that dare seek his visage claim it to be nothing more than vast piles of junk and filth, a huge sentient collection of the manifestations of all beings' collective mistakes.

Spheres: God of Poverty, Waste, and Vice.

Victus gains his power from the foolishness of others, when others grow weak and complacent he becomes mighty and powerful. When others squander he gains, when people grow destitute he feeds off their desire for wealth, when hunger threatens to consume the world Victus becomes the very hunger itself.

Info: It is said Victus formed when the first god created the first error, and from that error Victus grew and festered, feeding off the refuse of the divine, forming a kingdom from the discarded scraps of other worlds. In time, he became associated with entropy itself, and most tried their best to ignore the fetid pile they had inadvertently created for they were too proud to admit the abomination was a result of their own follies. Victus creeps at the bottom of all realities, scavenging the scraps that fall from the many worlds. Sometimes the more prudent of deities reach down to sift through the domain of Victus, hoping to make use of what was once wasted.

What few who sought him out tell tales of anguish and hatred, that the pariah god seeks nothing less than the destruction of all reality as vengeance for creating him in the first place. However these stories are old, and those who told them are long thought to be mad or envious of the glorious creation of the divines, and that their words skewed by their own faults.

Among those who study the strange and unnatural, it is firmly believed that Victus is of a defeatist mentality, resigned to his fate as the dustbin of greater beings, nothing more and nothing less.

And of course there are those, of a freakish demeanor, who sought out the god of iniquity for his company, but none of them ever returned.

    Re: GODHOOD X [OOC thread]

Name: Rennis, Spirit of the Prey

    Appearance:
A large, humanoid rabbit with a spear in one hand and flower in the other. His appearance is that of the face all creatures seem in times of peace. His white robes flow with the serenity of nature and man in its finest. When in hunt, however, his form shifts to that of a frightening monstrous reflection of the peaceful one; claws for spear, the burning of life in his eye. Large, frightening, bloodthirsty. The perfect hunter, the perfect target.

    Spheres: Hunters, Diplomats, and Prey
Rennis gains power from three types of beings; the prey that lie in wait to be hunted, and those that seek either their hand or their head. The interaction between these groups, peaceful or aggressive, gives him strength. He is sapped of power when creatures stay solitary, and gains tremendous strength during their interaction.

Info: The beastial nature of Rennis is a truly odd thing. More often then not he is a timid creature of fame and glory. At the same time, a dark monster dwells within, only seen by those unfortunate to cross through his path. His aspect is both of the beasts in the woods and those that hunt them, taking both sides as necessary to the conflict. Like him, both are two sides of the same coin; one who bears glory and value, and the one that wishes it for himself. Those whom they prey trust appear as they, but those who wish harm appear as beasts. To those of the same suit there will be lasting peace, and a result more glory. To those who lack, there is always a hunter.

In the end, the perspective is all that differentiates the two. One will always see himself as the innocent to whom builds tools to defend himself against monsters and preserve his peace. But who is the monster and who is the man when he rears his head against his foes? For he is not but a beast himself to them.

This eternal conflict of perspective is the embodiment of Rennis. Gaze upon his example and the motive of all creatures is seen. He plays by all sides, and wears the face each gives him.

    Name: Acquinas Starforged
Appearance: A young God his form is not all that imposing, he takes the appearence of plate armour of an unknown design suspended around a body of pulsing yellow energy and aether
Spheres: Civilization, (code of standards, societal evolution and sophistication, the taming of the forces of nature, really REALLY likes farmers), Deference (the respect between authorities, the ruled and the rulers, chivalry, hierarchical opposes anarchy and egalitarianism) Justice (both moral and legal, prefers reasoned decision making with regards to innocence and retribution rather then procedure, making him a fair weather friend of stricter gods of law and order)

[OOC: So, basically, my god is LITERALLY the god of paladins if paladins where raised under the common law. Yes my law degree is seeping into my gameplay. Fuck you, lemme live the dream]

Info: Acquinas is a young god, he isnt sure how he came to be other then what passing spirits and could-be-gods remarked upon his birth nor what his purpose was. He remembers a silvered hammer made of witch light striking upon a forge of dwarf star metal, the thunderous peals announcing his first moments of consciousness in bursts of pain and exploding stars. When he finally came into his being in the great void beyond voids he had no goals in his life, but was in awe of some of the more orderly universed... and dismayed by some of the more totalitarian ones, worlds of clockwork and stars of hourglasses. And he destested the more chaotic and anarchic ones he passed.

A balance was not what was needed, that often resulted in a stagnant status quo, order had to prevail, but it had to be tempered.

He vowed he would be that temperence. He would be that judge.

He was still nervous as fuck about the idea though.

    Re: GODHOOD X [OOC thread]

    Name: Dravis
Appearance: Dravis appears as a bright light, with creeping vines emanating from it. The vines are connected to wooden appendages, which together form a semblance of a male form, with the light glowing at the heart. Dravis is a genderless entity, but chooses to be referred to by male pronouns, and takes the image of a male-like body. He has, on occasion, modified his body to appear as woman-like, in which case the pronouns would change to female.
    Spheres:
    1. Growth
    2. Spirituality
    3. Teaching

Info: Dravis was once a mere tree spirit, guarding over a forest near a wide, lazy river. The wood was old, older than the people that came to live near it. On the riverbank, there was a hut, in which lived a man who ferried people across the river. This man often sat, deep in meditation, in the shade of Dravis's heart tree, the place in which his spirit resided. The man listened to the river, and he had a look of inner peace about him. One day, another, one of the many travelers who went through the forest and over that river, returned to the ferry-man's hut and stayed there as an apprentice, even though he was not young (though young by the age of the forest). Dravis watched as the old man taught the younger to live and understand the world, by meditating and listening to the river. The other slowly became more like the ferryman, his face turning into an inner smile of enlightenment. When that day came, the ferryman left, going deep into the woods.

The old man sat again under Dravis's heart, deep in meditation, when suddenly, Dravis knew that he would not return to the hut by the river. The tree spirit reached out and touched the mind of the ferryman, feeling the understanding of all within the old man. The man understood instantly what Dravis was thinking, even before the spirit knew it fully, and disappeared into the tree.

As soon as this happened, Dravis understood the mortal mind, and knew that enlightenment was a goal that all should achieve. He began imparting wisdom, through subtle images transmitted to the minds of weary travelers that rested in his forest. Over time, it became known as a forest of enlightenment, and Dravis ascended from being a mere spirit to a god. Now, he has set off to a new universe, ready to enlighten whatever life may emerge from it.

    Re: GODHOOD X [OOC thread]

    Name: SavvaS
Appearance: SavvaS claims to not have an appearance of its own. SavvaS has shown itself as a man, and as a woman, of varying sizes. When in these forms, he/she wears a mask on his/her face made out of a mirror. When conversing with other gods, it usually mimics their appearance. On rare occasions, it has taken on the appearance of the soul, or inner nature, of who it talks to. But only at the request of the 2nd party in question.
Spheres: Reflections- Mirrors, water, glass, anything that causes a reflection.
Truth- When falsehoods are revealed, when history is recorded, when one confesses to love, hate, crimes, pain, joy, etc.
Artificial- When the forces of nature are manipulated by an intelligent mind in any way, and for any reason.
Info: SavvaS does not trouble itself with affairs of state or religion. It does however takes a very active role in the shaping of individual lives.
If it deems a mortal worthy of its time (usually someone of exceptional character and ingenuity), it will make itself known to the mortal in question and help them achieve their goals and desires.
If the mortal wishes to be knowledgeable, the it will teach them. If the mortal wishes to be a king, it will grant them a country. If the mortal wishes to be its lover, then it will do that as well.
It does not believe in extending the mortals life span however. Nor giving them powers beyond that they would be capable of.
It also grants boons to other gods. It will help those who have proven truthful. It will avoid liars, and the deceitful.

    Name: Animoras, "The Almighty Jester."
Appearance: A golden jester's mask, topped with a silver tricorned jester's cap, on top of what seems to be a constantly changing multi-chromatic cloak.
Spheres: Comedy, bright colors, copulation. (Yep. If I'm trying that. Will change if needed.) Being what amounts to a clown-god, Animoras best enjoys when the universe is at its most entertaining. Unfortunately, his tastes aren't what you'd call "refined"...
Info: Chaos. Many people see to associate it with destruction and 'evil.' However, many forget that, when there was naught but the void of oblivion, it was chaos that gave birth to the stars, causing the first Great Nonconformity. The origins of Animoras are very similar. One moment, he was but an idea, having slipped from the mind of a some being into an errant hole in space, and, in the next, he was there. His first thought was to mock his moment of birth and its vague origin, then, in his second, he fashioned himself a form, one of garish color and decoration.

Animoras looked around him. He saw nothing, and that caused him great unease. What is nothingness? Is it funny? No! Is it alive? No! Does it have anything of merit whatsoever? Animoras certainly thought not. Thus, Animoras found his first Great Purpose: eliminate nothingness, fill empty voids with life, and spread color across the universe. And if he can crack a few bawdy jokes along the way? All the better.

    Name: The Bringer
Appearance: A wispy vaguely humanoid shadow that emanates ultraviolet light.
    Spheres: Secrets, Desire, Betrayal
Info: The Bringer sprouted from the urges of the sentient, gathering what they hid from eachother. It began when one man lusted for his brother's wife, and he grabbed hold on the urges within this man. The Bringer was that man, in a deep part of his soul, and when the man killed his brother, The Bringer left the body, leaving the grieving man behind. Such is the purpose of The Bringer, to give every man what he truly desires, no matter the cost.

    Re: GODHOOD X [OOC thread]

Oh sure this looks neat. Let's try something weird and maybe something that won't agree with Gallo's submission because of vague issues of some sort (again).

    Name: Goldberg

Appearance: Goldberg's body is a thing in constant motion, with lights blinking, machines whirring, and living cogs and gears moving in some strange design. It is exceedingly unlikely that Goldburg makes even the simplest movement or action without thousands of these devices conspiring to allow it to happen, and exceedingly likely that somehow mucking around with a single one of them would in some way interfere the god's not-so-grand plan.

He has no definite body shape outside of vaguely humanoid, with his twisted form altering to look like an inverted version of whichever being has captured his interest. His face on the other hand is relatively unchanging, welcoming all who seek his company with eyes that glow like cinders and gently smiling jaws.

    Spheres:
    - Complex Ideas: Goldberg's machinations are often difficult to discern on their own, but occasionally mortals manage to come up with ideas that confound even themselves. When new thoughts come from their minds that only their geniuses could understand even with explanations, they often end up inspiring the god to complicate things even further. (Examples: calculus, architecture, science)
    - Symmetry: Goldberg's designs always revolve around maintaining a perfect balance in all things. Sometimes however, nature or mortals (or on occasion, the actions of other gods) conspire to make things of perfect balance, or at least close enough to it. (Examples: four-legged tables, the number 8 )
    - Plots: Whether they are masterworks of a criminal organization or the insanity of a single madman, plans of all shapes and sizes feed the imagination of Goldberg - the more sinister, devious, or contrived, the better. (Examples: conspiracies, spies, party organizers)

Info: What Goldberg is actually a god of is relatively unknown to anyone but him, but he claims to be the god of complications and equality. What is known of Goldberg is that, first and foremost, he seems as intimately concerned with balance as he claims to be. Though his actions rarely are direct in this goal, or any really sensible one, they usually manage to come together, turning random useless creations into clockwork. It is also known that Goldberg has, as a god, died four times under different names, and been born five. Three of those deaths were orchestrated, in part, by Goldberg himself, secretly working with a conclave of other gods. The other time involved Goldberg stepping over a boundary he shouldn't have and one would be hard pressed to find out anything more from him.

Personality-wise, Goldberg is friendly enough, if a bit secretive and distant. Many gods find he can be a bit smug however, specifically when one of his schemes is finally discovered or pulled off despite attempts to foil it. He is also very trustworthy, or, well, gives off an aura that he should be trustworthy despite any knowledge that perhaps he may or may not be. This effect tends to multiplied tenfold with regards to mortals who find themselves in the company of one of Goldberg's avatars, to the point where they will (often unwittingly) lay down everything should the scheme be important enough to deem their sacrifice.

    Name: Jomontet.
    Appearance:

    Spheres: Night, Runic Magic, Creativity
Info: Jomontet is a wanderer, by choice. He, along with his brothers and sisters, were once tools of destruction for a higher god, Dontesun. By his decree and Jomontet's hand entire civilizations fell. Jomontet grew to hate his master and, when the chance presented itself, he betrayed Dontesun. Through a deal with an odd goddess he caused the destruction of Dontesun's home universe. Stripped of his power, Dontesun was swiftly stuck down by the goddess. Unfortunately, Dontesun's power was keeping Jomontet alive and without it all he could do was drift comatose through the multiverse. Until, that is, he drifted into a long abandoned universe, an ancient battle ground between two powerful magic focused gods. Billions of magical artifacts floated about, inert, save for one. A mask designed to absorb magic used against it and convert into strength for its wielder. It had been draining magical power for aeons, waiting for a compatible vessel to transfer its power too. Through blind chance or something more Jomontet made contact with the mask and was reborn. Though its powers are gone he wears it to this day.
