I was wondering if it might have been just Karkat being paranoid, since he'd previously mentioned he was not happy with how much time Terezi was spending around Dave.

However, the fact that it was taken seriously, and the fact that their interaction seemed so awkward and forced... it does actually seem quite possible that Karkat and Terezi are no longer a thing, and Dave and Terezi now is a thing.

Ok, WOW. Was pretty much laughing nonstop from Captor, to Meulin, hell I even laughed at Kurloz throwing the middle finger at least til... Meulin talked to Kurloz. Yeah. That.

    That.

I'm not sleeping I don't think. It's 1:30 am and I gotta wake up by 5. And I don't think I'm going to sleep. I thought Gamzee was terrifying but this is just pushing the envelope.

Also, turns out all the Class/Aspects that were revealed, I had guessed only Nitram's right. Ah well, such is things.

Can't wait for part 3 though, wrap this up. Just gotta work on translating Captor's dialogue in the morning.. I can't make heads or tails of that nonsense!

EDITPS: If relevant, it worked flawlessly for me on Chrome, except a very rare audio quirk every loop. On Firefox, like before, it runs smoothly but the audio flat out does not run if it's the active tab. I'll be honest, I prefer Flash to HTML5, but it's definitely in the Homestuck spirit to spread out and experiment, so hopefully each successive attempt tweaks a little cleaner.

EDIT: Oh god last minute realization. A1 Zahhak is the Page of Void. Equius lookalike in a Speedo. (not saying he's tier'd, but if I know people it WILL be drawn soon enough, or Tavros' image from EoA6:3 editted)

I'm quoting myself to clarify that although I turned this into a joke, I'm also entirely serious about it.

A lot of time and effort is going into these HTML5 extravaganzas dedicated mostly to characterizing obnoxious, presumably one-off characters. In this one, several of the characters actively expressed, in a reader-nudging metafictional fashion, their own frustration with how dumb and thinly portrayed these characters were. What is going on here artistically???

I think that the eye laser battle that Mituna fought in was probably against Lord English and it may very well have been the part where Lord English tried to use the spell on Cronus. We still haven't seen two of the prescratch trolls I wonder what they're up to...
With Kurloz and Meulin appearing to be servants of Lord English/Caliborn we know that Gamzee is going to working for him and also helping raise/teach him. The place Gamzee is in may be where the black hole thingy went to and Gamzee will teach him things. The pre scratch session has me feeling quite sad.
Maybe something interesting will go here.

Homestuck is about experimentation with storytelling. What is going on here is they are trying a new method for the walkarounds. It has very little to do with the characters. It's not like they were sitting around for days figuring out how to make Captor's speech as obnoxious as hell.

Meulin said something about "Calicorn" when she was mind controlled right?

What are Kurloz and Gamzee's signs? CAPRICORN

I was considering this earlier but with Terezi subbed in for "see no evil".

And Latula being "smell no evil".

And Tavros's legs being "feel no evil".

    Re: [S] [A6I3] ==>

I was expecting something in-story death inducingly crazy to happen, but man despite all the plot twists that I guess there were, it wasn't the WOW YOU GUYS ARE IN FOR A BIG SURPRISE thing that I kept hearing about, unless I missed something of course.

Anyway I guess it was cool, but boy am I going to have to come to terms with the fact that I really don't enjoy walkarounds. I dunno, there's just something about walking around and reading walls of text that isn't all that appealing to me, esp. since there are rarely just sentences of banter back and forth, but instead more realistic paragraphs of banter back and forth. but i digress.

ANYWAY I was going to scream NOO KARKATTTTT YOUR HOPESSS AND DREEAMSMMSSSSS when he mentioned on giving up on being the thresceuitioner master, but then Karkat asked to be Meenah's threshecutioner (someone somehow turn that into iinnuendo for me) and all was well with the world.

other than that you guys were right mituna's text gives me a migraine, mostly because i can't translate the 7's into t's naturally, and the typos always make me do double takes especially for the made up slurs. and also man amporacestor being a relaly annyong uncoolscar while being predictable was disappointing. and when mituna started talking about grinding i was like "whaaa what is this now stop that this instant", and also meulin has a super non-existent personality, but uhhhhhhhhhhh.

i forogot the point i was trying to make. that sure was an update.

oh yeah, i totally support karkat meenah, but only if its super long and drawn-out and filled out with dumb misunderstandings and the ilk that take forever to get properly resolved.

What do you mean by "a new method for the walkarounds"? If you mean using HTML5, that's not really experimentation with storytelling, that's experimentation with technology. And actual gameplay and style of narrative disbursal isn't significantly different from the earlier walkarounds.

If they're just trying out a new style with no good ideas for story material to put in that style, then why make it a massive three-part thing that takes weeks to make?

maybe there is some non-exposition-spider-words plot thing that will be worth it in the third part that is less all 'this is the stuff that last set of idjoits did'? When you splot something into three you dont always spread out the ~revelations~ n shit, so at this point we only have threeish heavy revelations that move things Forward Directionish and maybe that's because in the Original Plan those things were rear-ended?

I think the walkarounds are an interesting vehicle for delivering a ton of simultaneously occuring dialogue in a way that might make more sense than doing it lineally, on the other hand i feel like a lot of the material in the latest walkaround has been introducing new characters in a series of gags, as opposed to more significant plot developments. Which I guess depending on your preference is good or bad. I personally don't enjoy it a whole lot, but I can appreciate the positive reactions other people are having towards them so ehhhhhhh.

I love everything about these updates and that's pretty much all there is to say on the matter.

wvish i had more controversial opinions. like "who cares about these new trolls, i dont like these things, bad storytelling, its tripe and obnoxious!" people wvould pay more attention to me if i wvas controversial...

I was suspicious about Kurloz since I saw the 'leaked' spritesheets, but when playing the game I was quickly led to think "bah, it's just another A1 caricature".

And then... that thing with the chat... happened.

And when trying to approach Meenah as him...

I begin to suspect that this is all intended to lull us into a false sense of security; something really bad will eventually happen onscreen to the majority of the A1 trolls, I'm sure of it.

Also, poor Mituna. Is it that all heroes of Doom are supposed to act as seers of some sort?

And I guess we know now why Aranea claims Jake will have something to do with 'defeating' LE. I'm still skeptical about it, especially now that there's a massive conspiracy going on behind her back while she gleefully dismisses it as theological babble.

Alright, everyone, I want you all to clear your minds. Now picture Eridan meeting Cronus somewhere in the afterlife... and beating the undying hell out of him continuously for several hundred years straight.

But, really, you have to ask yourself what the hell had to happen to screw the boy up that much. There are some mighty big dicks in the world but I have never met any quite that sized. It can't possibly be natural.

i like how despite the fact that they all put up facades they do have a core of reality to them.

    like latula.

karkat was right about her being a total phoney, but her relationship with mituna seems genuine based on what we've been told about it.

So! Easter egg time. Be Cronus. Go down below the stone steps by Seahorsedad, and walk left until you hit something. It's a crate. Open it.

    Later examine Seahorsedad.

My theory is that each instance of a universe is a more perfect one. A1 < A2 < B1 < B2, which means A1 trolls SUCK, which they do. To me the pre-scratch kids are > the post-scratch trolls and post-scratch kids > pre-scratch kids and I think I could back myself up in that argument if i had to. But I honestly thought this was the most entertaining update I've ever been apart of (i'm late in the game...my first real time update was in act 5 act 2...).

There was just so much good shit.

As for people who don't like the walkthrough style, I used to feel the same way until I realized that normal updates were just dialogue anyways.
