Making a Homestuck Dating Sim!

Ren'py was built for making dating sims in the first place and pretty much the only reason I mentioned it is because I haven't seen many use it other than a few indie developers. (I guess this could be just my personal perception though... )

Thats still less than rpg maker series.
Rpg maker series has probably 100,000,000+ games made by average people.

I don't know, I don't want to give any sort of estimate and stress myself out to get it done by a certain time,
Right now I'm just working on my art style and then I get on with basically everything I need.
The game itself shouldn't take too long to make, the art is just a bit hard to do.
Also Sollux is the main character! He's so awesome. Should it be red and blue Sollux or half dead Sollux?

Both! The more SOlluxes the better.

I actually can make it so that 2 people are the lead. How would that work in the game though?

Yes, but RPG Maker's code is a nightmare. Ask paperHelmet, whose efforts to code a decent game in it still haven't finished. And it's definitely not suited to a 'dating sim'. There's enough support on that forum for what you're looking for. Fewer hard-coded restrictions, etc. Plus, some dudes developed a 2.5D RPG package that integrates with the game.

Not gonna get involved however, so feel fee to go with what you prefer.

Thats why I suggested Ren'py to SickPuppeteer in the first place. X_X
She's dead set on Rpgmaker so I'm not going to continue to try to change her mind.

Besides that what she wants to do maybe achievable with little coding involved.
There are available resources out there for some base coding on somethings if she wants.

I could also (try) to help with this. I'm not sure exactly how much help I'd be, but I have been told I'm a great writer on several occassions.
