Save function no longer working?

Did a quick search and didn't find a thread about this within the past few days.

Save doesn't work. Manual or auto. Not on either of my computers, or on any of teh work computers I've used. It worked fine when I was living in Ontario, now that I'm in BC it refuses to remember my save place.

I've cleared cache and deleted my MSPA cookies, deleted the data using the delete on-site and resaved, used a computer I'm positive never has visited the site before... nada.

Mostly using Firefox but one of the work computers only has IE and it didn't work there either. Win XP and 7.

Just me, or a glitch in the site?



Apologies if this has a simple fix I missed or if there's a more appropriate place to post this; i didn't think the subforum for the forums was right since this technically is an issue on the main site.

So it's broken for everyone and there's no fix, then?

But... it used to work fine... and manual save doesn't work either... expected behavior?

I hear that depending on which version of the site you visit, your save is different, though. That is, www.mspaintadventures.com is different than just mspaintadventures.com.

I just checked this out, and it's true. My bookmark always goes to the www.mspaintadventures.com version of the 'load page' (http://www.mspaintadventures.com/?game=load), which is the same as the one that MSPA Notify uses when you press the macro and sends you to the website. And that's way I haven't had any problems regarding the save function for well over a year now.

The problem is that people always link to the website from different places such as the domain without the www, so if you then try to load your game it won't work, or at least work the same way. Just try making sure you're saving and loading from the same domain and see if that changes anything.

Domain is MATHS% wrong word for what I'm saying I'm sure.

Same should apply to the autosave, but I never use the autosave because it's really ridiculous.

When I did my second readthrough I used "save to favourites" and then deleted the previous favourites link whenever I made a new one. It linked directly to the page I was last on.

aP: yeah that's what my sister does. I might do it, but it's a paint to always edit the icon to just say 'mspa' again. EFFORT WHAT NOT ON MY INTERNET!!!!

pD and Wulf: I always access from my MSPA link on my toolbar so it's definitely not that. Good info to know though. :U
