Do we just post a swap to ou character or something, like he did? Or do we give commands for the current character to do?

I think the IC thread is just to move things along outside of pesterchum. I myself just wanted to make sure I had a post. Also, I wanted to give a good reason why only half of the trolls are in the RP at the beginning.
I would just put in a few introductory paragraphs. If you want you can end it with something like "You check your chump roll to see if anyone is contacting you." And in a spoiler tag, say when you can be on. This allows for the role playing gears to start working inside of pesterchum.
For future reference, I can usually get on between Three and Four PM eastern and can stay on for a few hours.

Okay, CB, all you have to do is make the character, and send it to me for approval. Glaring issues aside, there shouldn't be any problems. Once I've approved it, then you can go ahead and post wherever i.e. the IC Thread or Pesterchum.

Also, the IC thread is for moving our characters along outside of pesterchum, like Raptarion had said. On the rules for switching with your posts, you can only switch to your character, and you cannot give commands to any character you haven't created and signed up to play as for this RP. As an outside note, please post the canon pesterchum conversations in the IC thread as I am otherwise unable to see them, what with my piece of shit, stubborn as a fuck, absolutely awful, linux distro, and its all-consuming need to deny me of everything.

I'm going to make another post soon. But first, question for the person who made Esulta. How do you feel about my troll (Talrok) having known your troll before hand, and their first meeting involving your troll smashing him on the back of the head with a rock and trying to take his necklace?
