Someone mentioned the possibility that man could retroactively effect reality on tvtropes. Maybe that's it?

Theory: Jones was a meteor.
Hee hee hee hee hee
Well "Stone" has to come from somewhere.
So we've gone back at least as far as 10,000 BC. Wait, isn't that the name of a book or a movie or something? Also, this puts us firmly in the Stone Age. Hmmmn.
It's a good thing she has all that snow to wear.
The only issue is that Coyote said Jones is a perfect example of how man's ideas can become personified. Which should mean that she shouldn't go back any further than consciousness itself??
You guys, I just remembered something: the great spirit who created humans is represented as an eye.
And look closer at that second link: At the bottom-right of the cave painting thing, we can see a representation of a glass-eyed man, a normal Aborigine human, and something else, with an image of an eye underneath it, and glowy creator-spikes coming out of its head. Wandering Eye?
So... Jones is Gunnerkrigg Jesus?
This signature has been hidden because it exceeds 80 batmans in awesome.
You guys, I just remembered something: Jones is a svelte white woman. Kind of screws with the whole Aborigine Jesus thing. Also: fairly racist? Idk.
EDIT: Oh man. I was presuming that the first humans were Aborigine because I thought that the Great Spirit was floating over Ayers Rock in this page, but it turns out Ayers Rock looks completely different. So the Great Spirit, in the context of "the first humans being created", is just hovering over some random......

.....
stone.
EDIT2: If Jones was the first human, it'd explain why she handed Annie her mask in that dreamscape thing two chapters ago. She's being used to represent humanity in general, and the mask comes purely from Annie's human side (her father), rather than her more passionate fire-elemental side.

Jones is Mr. Gentleman.
definitely panic if there’s caviar
It seems that no matter how far back we go, Jones is already here.
Coyote also refers to the Great Spirit as a male in that page, and refers to Jones as female in all other pages. Besides, considering that there are people who hold the Great Spirit as their legitimate religious belief, I doubt Tom would be as insensitive as to personify it.
It'd be just as appropriate if Dr. Disaster turned out to be Muhammad the Prophet. (well maybe not quite that bad).
:^y
if people worship The Great Spirit, I doubt they're reading webcomics
Coyote may not actually know what Jones is.
It wouldn't keep him from making up an interesting story.

Ysengrin told Annie about Jones whose existence apparently counters Coyote's theory, but Coyote says she's the perfect example of it. So, you know. It's expected that Jones origins would be contradictory to Coyote's theory at first, but the more we learn of it, the more likely it'll be that we can find some way for her existence to fit into Coyote's theory.
Also, second panel: Are those abs, Jones?
jones: dat bitch so cold she lived through all the ice ages
